Primordial Sin System - Chapter 536: The Guardian Appears
Chapter 536
Dave, on the other hand, appeared in front of Alisha, who remained unconscious, having reverted to an ordinary mortal after the human bloodline disappeared from her body.
Naga was also present, personally guarding Alisha after arranging the other human evacuees.
Naga bowed to Dave, feeling conflicted. Dave had killed a demon lord and saved the humans from the hands of demons, leaving her feeling useless for not having contributed much.
Dave patted her shoulders reassuringly and said, “Don’t worry, you did well. Your future is unpredictable, and with the sword in your hands, you will become a human powerhouse in the future.”
Naga was shocked, looking at Dave, who remained calm. She asked, “So you knew about the sword from the start?”
She wasn’t wary of him like before and had let her guard down when she was with Dave.
Her beautiful eyes searched Dave’s face for answers.
Dave smiled and commanded, “Sword Spirit, come out.”
As his tattoo shone, a white sword appeared in Dave’s hands.
Simultaneously, the sword in Naga’s hands trembled and flew in front of Dave, revealing a figure of a woman dressed in white clothes – the spirit of the sword in Naga’s hands.
“You… who are you to the Sword Goddess? How can you have her sword mark?” the Spirit trembled in shock, recognizing Dave as the possessor of the Sword Goddess’s mark.
She, herself, was the spirit of a sword that had accompanied the Celestial Slayer and now resided in Naga’s hands.
However, she was still an incomplete sword, crafted by the Sword Goddess herself.
The sword in Dave’s hands, on the other hand, was a complete God-grade artifact, with its spirit still sealed and yet to awaken.
Despite their differences, they both came from the same origin, created by the Sword Goddess herself.
Dave smiled, seeing the spirit in person for the first time. “Hah, you don’t need to know about it. But I can see that you have huge potential and may assist Naga in the future.”
Dave didn’t know the truth about his mother, but his theory that she was the Sword Goddess was the closest to the truth.
Helping Naga, a successor of the Celestial Slayer, seemed like a good investment. Naga could become a strong swordswoman, a valuable asset in Dave’s future endeavors.
Dave felt he could help the sword spirit become stronger and unlock the seal if he used the sword mark to unlock the seal of the sword in Naga’s hands.
“Do you know about this mark?” Dave asked the sword spirit.
The spirit replied instantly, “The sword tattoo you have is the highest privilege that the Sword Goddess can bestow. From what I know, only three of her personal disciples have had that mark, but you clearly are not her disciple because they are all stronger than you. Still, to have such a mark means your identity is not normal.”
Dave was stunned but smiled and didn’t probe further.
He would learn the truth in the future.
Right now, he wanted to help Alisha recover.
But suddenly, a bright light appeared, and an old man materialized in front of Dave. .
Dave was wary and ready to unsheathe his sword. “Who are you?”
The old man smiled and bowed. “Worry not, my lord. I am a messenger of the Goddess of Light and the guardian of this plane. The goddess wishes to meet you, as well as Princess Naga and the woman,” he gestured towards Alisha.
Dave sensed that the old man meant no harm, but he remained cautious.
Deep down, the old man felt a sense of danger, as if a predator was watching him, ready to strike if he made a wrong move.
His intuition was true, as Dave was prepared to kill if necessary.
However, he didn’t expect the Goddess of Light, who had turned a blind eye to the demons, to want to meet him.
“Very well, let’s meet the Goddess of Light,”
Dave agreed, not feeling nervous as the goddess was known to be merciful and unable to see through his demonic bloodline.
He also had backup plans in case anything went wrong.
Dave signaled to the old man, who bowed and waved his hands, conjuring a portal in front of him.
The old man led the way, and Dave placed Alisha’s body inside his spatial realm.
Naga followed closely behind Dave, feeling nervous as it would be her first time seeing a true god in the flesh.
The sword spirit hid inside Naga’s sword, appearing calm despite the circumstances.
Dave, however, remained composed. Having previously slain a god, even in his weakened state, he felt calm inside.
Additionally, he had left many drops of his blood scattered around as a precaution for his resurrection in case anything went wrong.
He had taken numerous measures to ensure his safety, and he was confident that nothing would happen to Naga.
Swoosh!
Dave, Naga, and the old man appeared inside a white room.
The room was adorned with numerous treasures, emanating a calming warmth from the light it emitted.
Dave realized that they were no longer in the desolate plane.
Though outwardly calm, he remained vigilant, prepared to evacuate Naga at a moment’s notice if any schemes unfolded.
The old man bowed to Dave before indicating a white door located 50 meters away.
“Just enter the white door; the goddess awaits you there.”
Curious, Dave inquired, “What about you?”
The old man shook his head ruefully.
“This old bones didn’t have the privilege of meeting the goddess in person. I envy you; only a select few have had the opportunity to meet her true form. Despite serving her for millions of years, I have never seen her true body.”
Dave was astonished. Why was he granted such a privilege?
“Is it because I saved the human race?” he wondered.
“Or perhaps she was drawn to my handsome face? What if the goddess were to force me to marry her? Would I accept?”
“No, as a man, how could I be forced by a woman to marry her? But if she were beautiful, then I might consider it.”
Such shameless thoughts ran through Dave’s mind, unaware that his guesses were closer to the truth than he realized.
