- Chapter 305: Becoming A God Is Only A Matter Of Time
Hearing Allen’s question, Bart immediately replied.
“Does that question even need to be asked? Of course, I agree!”
“Excellent! We can sign the soul contract after the gathering is over.”
After his short conversation with the royal court mage, the topic of the first prince’s sudden outburst slowly died down as they focus on the main topic.
“Supreme Mage, although my son had gone crazy, the plan he proposed is doable. As long as we dealt with the Zeus Kingdom, we can successfully defend our kingdom from the neighboring kingdoms.”
“Will you and the Ultimate Knight participate to deal with the Zeus Kingdom?”
Listening to the king’s inquiry, the Ultimate Knight immediately replied valiantly to the king.
“I will! As the Ultimate Knight, I must protect our kingdom from the invaders!”
Even after he aged, the Ultimate Knight still maintained his valor and loyalty towards the Gaia Kingdom. Unlike the Supreme Mage who just arrived at the Gaia Kingdom a month before, the Ultimate Knight was raised in the Gaia Kingdom.
So it was no surprise that the Ultimate Knight was resolute in his words. Even if he was asked to sacrifice himself to defend the kingdom, he wouldn’t hesitate to do it.
After the Ultimate Knight responded to the king’s inquiry, the king as well as the nobles and royals within the gathering shifted their attention toward the Supreme Mage.
They had already expected that the Ultimate Knight wouldn’t decline since his loyalty to the kingdom was well-known. But that didn’t apply to the Supreme Mage who appeared out of nowhere.
After all, they only knew that the Supreme Mage treated the first princess as his little sister. So other than protecting his little sister, they didn’t expect much in the Supreme Mage protecting their kingdom.
Unlike the knights who were straightforward and loyal, mages were more scheming and enigmatic. The stronger a mage was, the more enigmatic they were.
If it was the royal court mage, they would expect him to defend the kingdom but that wasn’t the case for the Supreme Mage. They couldn’t even read the expressions and intentions of the Supreme Mage so they didn’t know how to deal with him other than not becoming his enemy.
While they were waiting for the Supreme Mage’s reply, the Supreme Mage casually replied, “The first prince’s plan is not that efficient. He must have underestimated my strength. I alone am enough to destroy the Zeus Kingdom.”
Hearing the Supreme Mage’s reply, they all went silent as they didn’t know how to respond to him. After all, they couldn’t just say that the Supreme Mage was arrogant since it might induce his ire.
The nobles weren’t that stupid to offend the Supreme Mage. Although they think that the Supreme Mage was arrogant, they dare not tell that to him.
“Supreme Mage, are you confident? The Zeus Kingdom also has an 8th Circle Mage in its military. That’s the main reason why the Mage’s Association favored them more compared to our kingdom.”
Hearing the king’s words, Allen laughed in response as he found it amusing that they underestimated his power.
Allen was literally at the peak of the Highest Realm. He was just a step away from becoming a god. And if he wanted to, he could immediately become a god.
But Allen didn’t want to become a god as not only would it make him lose his humanity, but it also wasn’t time yet for him to become a god. Unless he obtained his divinity, Allen wouldn’t willingly step into the realms of Perfection. He would only do that if he was desperate to improve his strength.
Otherwise, he didn’t need to become a Perfection Realm Semi-Supreme Being especially when his combat power at the Highest Realm Peak Stage was comparable to Perfection Realm Intermediate Stage heretic gods.
He already obtained his authority and the only thing left for him to do was to obtain his divinity. And since the divinity of supremacy and order was a top-tier divinity compared to elemental divinities, it wasn’t that easy to acquire.
Allen needed to wait for the right time for him to grasp those divinities and after obtaining that, he wouldn’t need to suffer from the side effects of forcefully becoming a god without possessing a divinity.
One of the main reasons why Allen even accepted to travel to this world other than completing the mission was to grasp the opportunity to obtain his divinity in this world which was filled with heretic gods.
Since those heretic gods could obtain and develop their divinities in this world, then there was a high possibility for him to also obtain it. After all, he was a supremely talented individual. n//(-//.-()./I-(n
If Allen couldn’t even become a god with his supreme talents, then no one was worthy to become a god in this world.
With that intention in mind, Allen only snickered in his mind as he thought of the king and the nobles who underestimated his strength.
Aside from Iris and his group, no one knew about his true power. Even Alisceon didn’t know much about his power that was powerful enough to slay gods. She only knew that Allen was powerful enough to at least deal damage to a god but not slay it.
Also, there has yet to be a human who had became a god. From the legends that Allen had read in this world, all gods were self-created.
In other words, the gods created themselves. And according to the legend, humans were created by gods.
Of course, Allen didn’t listen to those legends since he knew that wasn’t the case. It was more likely for the humans to be evolved versions of monkeys.
But Allen knew that it was true that the gods were self-created since it was likely that the god of fire was a fire who obtained sentience and became a god after comprehending its divinity.
Those types of gods were naturally created compared to gods who were formerly a mortal. A mortal becoming a god was like a cultivator going against the Heavenly Way.
Although there were god slayers in the legend where a mortal successfully slew a god, there has yet to be a mortal who became a god in this world. Not that it was impossible contrary to the beliefs of the human race, it was just too unlikely to become one.
For comparison, it was more probable for someone to win the jackpot prize in a lottery ten times in a row compared to a mortal becoming a god. If it was that easy, then the gods would have been wary of the human race but since they used the human race as livestock for obtaining faith energy, then they weren’t threatened by the possibility of a human becoming a god.
Allen was confident that as long as he was given enough time, he would be able to become a god in this world. Even if he didn’t, there was still a chance for him to obtain a divinity that was compatible with him from the chat group rewards.
The AMCG system would reward the chat group members who participated and completed the Main Task with a random divinity. As long as Allen was lucky enough, he would be able to get a divinity that was compatible with him.
And if there were two things that Allen didn’t lack, then it was talent and luck. He became a member of the group chat because he was supremely lucky so he never doubted his luck.
With his talent and luck, it was just a matter of time before he became a god. And since he was a human destined to attain supremacy, he had never thought of a mere kingdom such as the Zeus Kingdom as someone that could threaten him.
With that confidence in mind, Allen replied to the king’s question.
“Your majesty, the 8th Circle Mage in the Zeus Kingdom is just a mortal. Only a god can defeat me!”
While bragging, Allen didn’t forget to emphasize that only a god could defeat him.
After all, the Gaia Kingdom was filled with believers of Gaia. So if he arrogantly boasted that even a god couldn’t defeat him, then even if they didn’t want to offend him, they would still mock him for his arrogance.
But if he emphasized that only a god could defeat him, then they would think of him as someone confident to be unrivaled below a god.
And as Allen expected, his words only assured the king and the nobles and none of them dared to comment on his arrogance. Since the Supreme Mage was confident that he could destroy the Zeus Kingdom, then they didn’t complain about something that would benefit them.
If the Supreme Mage could destroy the Zeus Kingdom, then they would easily win the war against the Zeus Kingdom. If not, then they were also confident that the Supreme Mage could at least weaken the military of the Zeus Kingdom.
And by the time the Zeus Kingdom was weakened, they could dispatch the Ultimate Knight and their army to deal with the Zeus Kingdom!
