Project New World - Chapter 51
“Okay, I could provide all the necessary materials to forge the armguard; How about the forging cost?”
“Well, I usually only charge about 2 to 5 silver for a piece of custom equipment including the materials if they request to use more common material. But since you provide the material, I couldn’t charge that much but due to how difficult it is to handle it I would have to charge a bit more than normal as I have to compensate with my own money in case I need some material on the process.”
“How about 5 silver for the piece and I would buy the excess material or you can request another piece to be made out of it for free.”
“That’s a bit more expensive than I thought. Even Kana’s robe set only cost us 5 silver if we convert the tokens into gold currency. Are rare equipment really that expensive?”
“Well, each leap of grade after UNCOMMON would also mean a leap in price. Rare equipment normally would cost you around 1 gold coin. You could get a less desirable rare equipment for 70-80 silver but the better one could also cost you 2-5 gold coins. Epic equipment is sold at around a thousand gold coins each and You can’t buy Legendary equipment with coins even if you have a hundred thousand gold coins.”
“There’s also a factor of equipment level requirement but you don’t really need to worry for now as all the equipment from the tutorial village doesn’t have any level requirement as our God’s instruction.”
The team agrees to order the equipment and wait for 5-7 days before the armguard complete. The team gets into a routine where they hunt 2 times during the day and patrol at night to see if a stray monster or a quest pop up for their team.
They mostly hunt the monster from inside and on the periphery of the forest while avoiding a stronger monster living inside the forest. Other students at Saint Joseph Academy also start catching up on the level and most of them are already level 2 while the party level up to level 3 on the 4th day after they order the equipment.
Anna also finishes her harvesting quest on the 5th day and the party hunting efficiency goes up as they don’t need to go back to the village as often as before. The more notable thing the party did was hunting an Elite version of the horned rabbit which netted them 5 village tokens and a couple of silver from the materials.
Albert notices the changes that happen on the last day of school before the weekend; Students start hanging out more with their party members and segregating from their own friends. Weaker students got isolated and transfer students start gaining awareness as most of them are stronger compare to normal students.
Students start to suspect that they receive preferred treatment but they can do nothing about that when they denied it. The atmosphere around the tutorial is also changing as there’s some student who starts recruiting other people to join their guild/organization.
Although the guild system is not implemented in the tutorial village; Information got leaked and students found out that they can make one on the Eden World later on. The party is also invited to joins a couple of different guilds but they reject it.
The party also accumulated quite of wealth and possess a total of 25 silver combine even after they pay the armguard forging fee. Kana and James try to visit the village tutorial to learn a couple of things from the natives but they got discouraged when they discover the price of the lesson.
The party went back to the blacksmith shop of the 6th day to pick up their order and buy a harvesting knife set for Kana. The set she uses to complete her quest was on the lower quality and on the verge of breaking.
The blacksmith informs the party that the equipment is finish but it needs to cool down before it’s ready to be used. Alice’s eyes are glimmering as she sees a pipping red hot armguard sitting on the forging table. The armguard is red in color with bright green accents around the edges.
Albert asks for the forging prices as they haven’t pay for it as they agree to pay it off later when the equipment is finish. The blacksmith charges the party 5 silver coins for the entire forging fee and would buy the excess rare material from the forging process for 4 silver coins.
“Here are 1 silver coin for the forging fee and we would be back tomorrow for the armguard; Do you have a high-quality knife set available for sale? We need a harvesting knife set as the beginner knife set we use already brittle.”
“Most equipment which is not made for fighting purpose would have a similar quality, but I do have a harvesting knife set which is 1 grade higher compare to the beginner one you use. The knife set is the price at 3 silver coins and I would give you this knife as a bonus for all your patronage”
The blacksmith reaches to the weapon rack and pull an exquisite curved dagger and handed it to Kana. It was uncommon grade dagger that possesses lower attack damage stats compare to un grade tier dagger which is very unusual.
Nobody in the party is using dagger or knife as their weapon but you got to take every free stuff you could get. There’s an unidentified effect on the dagger which presumably categorized it on to uncommon grade weapon but since nobody on the tutorial village can identify it, it was kinda useless for now.
