Promise You a Prosperous Life - C2
When I dragged my weak body home, I saw Uncle Gu Cheng Bei, Aunt Zhao Xianfang and Gu Xiaomei sitting in my living room, glaring at me.
When Gu Cheng Bei saw me, he glared furiously and slapped me.
“Trash, you still have the face to come back? How could there be a woman like you in our Gu family?”
I was beaten to the point that my eyes were shining. Before I could wake up, Zhao Xiafang scolded me with a weird tone while curling her red lips.
“Gu Yan, even if you reach the age at which you ought to marry, you can’t meet wild men in the hotel. If you let others know about this, how am I going to go out with your uncle in the future?”
I suddenly understood. So Gu Xiaomei was the one who made the first complaint about the hotel, but even so, what right did her aunt and uncle have to use her identity as an elder to criticize me?
When my mother and I were even having problems with living expenses, why didn’t they see me as a “Gu family member”?
I looked at them angrily and enunciated each word clearly, “Uncle, aunt, I’m sure the two of you understand the principle of being righteous before all else. Why didn’t you ask Gu Xiaomei when you came to interrogate her, how did she know that I was sleeping with a man?” “Tell the two elders the truth. If Gu Xiaomei hadn’t snatched Mu Hai away first, how could I have done such a thing? So, the one unworthy of being a member of the Gu family is your precious daughter.”
When the past was brought up again, it was still hard for me to hide the bitterness I felt. However, this wasn’t the time to be sad. I quickly adjusted my emotions and put on a proud expression on my face.
“Auntie and uncle, let me tell you seriously, not only did I not embarrass the Gu family, I even invited a golden son-in-law for the Gu family.” Auntie uncle, let me tell you solemnly, not only did I not humiliate the Gu family,
Gu Cheng Bei and Zhao Xi Fang were obviously shocked. Gu Xiaomei saw that the stone she lifted up was about to smash her own foot, and started pushing me out like crazy.
As she pushed, she said arrogantly, “Stop trying to turn the truth around here. You rotten woman, get the hell out of our Gu family’s house.”
Zhao Xuefang quickly joined in as well, pushing and shoving me with Gu Xiaomei. It was hard for me to hold on to four hands by myself, so I staggered back a few steps. Gu Shenwei, on the other hand, ignored everything and just let it happen.
Mom ran out of the hospital from who knows where. When she saw them bullying me, she became even crazier. She rushed over to bite Zhao Xianfang and Gu Xiaomei.
Mom said vaguely, “Bad guy, you’re not allowed to hit Yan’Er.”
Zhao Xuefang and Gu Xiaomei looked at each other with disdain. When their mother was only a foot away from them, the two of them turned their heads away.
His mother’s mind was not strong enough to control her movements. She lunged forward with a strong inertia and slammed into the glass wall mirror with a bang.
The glass shattered on the floor, and a long, sharp sliver of glass pierced the left side of her head. Blood flowed all over the floor as her mother slowly fell to the ground.
I snapped out of my daze and ran over with a scream. Ignoring the glass fragments on the floor that were still kneeling, I cried out in a sobbing tone, “Mom, wake up! Wake up!”
But Mom didn’t open her eyes until the 120-car arrived, and before Mom was pushed into the emergency room, the nurse hastily stuffed me with a payment slip.
“The patient needs to be equipped. Pay the deposit of 50,000 yuan immediately, or the rescue will be stopped.”
