PS I’m (not) Over You - Chapter 45:Rion and Sara(2)
Sara’s heart sunk on what she had seen. She had no idea that her boyfriend has been fooling around behind her back. Rion stood behind his assistant with a look of disgust on the cheating boyfriend and the other woman. They were so engrossed in their coupling that they didn’t even notice that they were caught in the act.
Rion glanced at Sara wondering what she would do now that she found out that her boyfriend is cheating. He saw that she was so shocked and frozen in her place with her mouth agape. A different kind of anger rose within him.
While he doesn’t care about what Sara do in her personal life, he is enraged to know that she was hurt by some douchebag who couldn’t keep his other head to himself. He cleared his throat making the two caught off guard. They both looked at the doorway seeing Sara already burst in tears.
“Sara,” Her boyfriend pulled out from the woman beneath him and took his robe on the floor to cover himself from his girlfriend’s glaring eyes. “You’re home early. Let me explain, babe.”
“No! It’s your fault! None of these would have happened if you didn’t keep on turning me down! We’ve been together for three f*cking years and you wouldn’t allow me to touch you.” he sneered.
Rion’s eyes darkened. The nerve of this man! Just because Sara wouldn’t have sex with him, he chose to f*ck another woman instead. When he saw that the stupid guy trying to touch Sara, he pulled her and shielded her from the man before sending a powerful punch to her stupid and for sure ex-boyfriend.
Sara’s boyfriend fell clumsily on the floor. Rion hit his face so hard that he started bleeding.
“What the f*ck?! Who the hell are you?”
Rion glared down at him as he towered over the stupid man. He was itching to give him a kick but thought that Sara wouldn’t like him to interfere any longer.
“And you? Who do you think you are, mongrel?” His tone so cold Sara thought that the atmosphere within the room dropped to the lower temperature.
“This ends here now.” Sara’s resolve strengthen. She didn’t know why but she is very grateful that Rion is with her. She surely would have fallen if he wasn’t around to protect her.
“Sara!”
“I don’t wanna see your face anymore. When I come back here, I want your stupid ass to be gone or else I’ll skin and burn you alive, you hear me?”Sara said before turning around and leaving the apartment.
Rion stood for a while in the room. He glared at Sara’s ex-boyfriend and then looked at the woman in bed who was shivering in fear by getting caught. He buried his hands in his side pockets and left, following Sara outside.
He found her in front of the elevator, waiting for it to come up to their floor. Sara handed the file to him and tried not to look at his face. She was ashamed of what he had witnessed in her apartment. How could she ever look at his face without remembering what he has seen?
“Don’t worry about it. I’ll tell no one about what happened,” Rion said nonchalantly.
Sara blinked and looked at Rion. This is the first time he has shown concern about her. She didn’t know if he cares or maybe it’s the usual thing for men to do when a woman turned into a damsel in distress in front of them.
The walk back in his car was silent. Rion opened the car and watched Sara slip quietly inside. Her face still flushed from her recent outburst. He knows she is shock of what she discovered and embarrassed because he saw it too. Sara didn’t deserve the things that happened today and somehow Rion is enraged at the thought that she was hurt.
This rage is too unusual to him. Rion thought this is the first time he was unsure of what to do and of himself. He wanted to go back to her apartment and beat the hell out of her ex-boyfriend but he didn’t have any rights to do it.
Rion chose the easiest choice and that pretends that nothing happened since it is none of his business to meddle in her affairs.
When Sara settled herself in the car, she was lost in her own thoughts. She had wasted her three years with that man. She kept replaying in her mind what she has seen earlier over and over again. The worst part was her boss was right there to witness it.
“Sara?” Rion asked coldly when he noticed that she was in a daze. Her eyes brimming again with tears. She sniffled but failed until she cried once again.
Rion was momentarily caught off guard. He’s bad dealing with women. What should he do to make her calm?
