Psychic Parasite: Final Serenity - Chapter 11
If possible, Jyorta was unwilling to create a subsoul. After all, there was a risk it would attempt a breakthrough and head towards the Mental Realm, feeding the Mind Hound. Moreover, he also didn’t wish to give any chances for Laila to experiment with his subsouls in the case she was still in the city.
‘There’s also Wenina Marble to worry about.’ He thought, frowning as he looked at the River Whale before him, placing a Hoberman Sphere on the subsoul to prevent it from attempting a breakthrough. He also placed mental suggestions in all the souls, ensuring none of them would try anything that might put him at risk.
And in the end, to give it the final push, Jyorta faced his palm towards it, unleashing his presence.
Aura Induction—Tattoo!
In the time he worked on its soul, he was also making a tattoo suitable to it, placing it under his control. Now, with the added layers of security, no matter what might happen, neither the River Whale nor the Shoe Fishes attached to its skin would ever attempt a breakthrough. And, that also extended to their respective Frenzy Parasites.
Only with this level of guarantee can he remain calm.
Now, his Soul Cornea could pass through the soul barrier without any trouble, beginning to siphon energy from the River Whale’s soul. Since it was also connected to all the souls of the Shoe Fishes that encompassed its massive body, the energy reserve was massive.
The Soul Corneas had also created soul tendrils to connect the souls with their respective Heart Crystals. Thanks to that, Jyorta now had a battery, one that was many times potent than the one he had in the Labyrinth of Frenzy.
Now, relying on the energy supply, Jyorta was able to act upon the other River Whales at a faster pace, done with everyone within six hours. It was thanks to him having a tremendous supply of psychic energy.
Once he was done, less than twenty Shoe Fishes were remaining. Jyorta simply made a River Whale swallow them. Now that all ten River Whales were under his control, he caused them to fly out of the water tank, made to hover above him as he began to siphon energy from them.
‘T-This!’ Jyovic Bone gazed at everything from the side, expressing maniacal excitement for a moment before he controlled himself, sporting a poker face. He gazed at Jyorta, his eyes sharpening as he closed them, taking in a deep breath before deciding to walk away. “Jyorta, there’s a phone in the corner. If you need anything, contact me. I’ll have to return to my work.”
“If you want to eat, just head towards the counter in the lobby and ask the person in charge. Everyone in the Bone Family knows you, so you needn’t worry about anything.” Jyovic Bone’s figure flashed past, exiting the room as he arrived at the lobby, maintaining a poker face.
He then arrived at the topmost floor of the research institute, entering a conference room as he gazed at Hubert Bone and Havita Bone seated behind a stack of papers, arguing about something with each other.
Looking at the two for a moment, Jyovic Bone focused on Hubert, ‘It seems he’s ready now. He’s the final step of my plan.’
Thinking as such, Jyovic Bone made eye contact with Havita Bone, causing the other party to stare in shock for an instant before her expression turned normal. She then took in a deep breath, resigning herself as she closed the book she was surfing through.
Jyovic Bone looked at Hubert, “There’s been an emergency.”
“What emergency?” Hubert was shocked, wondering if the Skeps had decided to attack their city once again.
“I’ll tell you along the way. The Warlord Family of the Floating Spiders is doing something that’ll put a stop to our Family’s rise.” Jyovic Bone said, “I already took the legal permission to leave the city. Let’s make a move now.”
“Alright,” Even though he wasn’t sure of the details, Hubert Bone left his seat, accompanying Jyovic Bone and Havita Bone as the three Transformers of the Bone Family left the city.
Unranked Skill—Bone Devour!
The three of them turned into an eight-metre-tall giant each, sprouting a pair of wings as they took flight, flying west of Marble City, heading towards the territory of the Floating Spiders.
Throughout the Journey, Jyovic Bone was silent, expressing a troubled face all along. Havita and Hubert made eye contact, looking at the doubt in the faces of each other. But, they just decided to observe for now.
“We’re here!” Suddenly, Jyovic Bone stopped, causing the other two to express worry when all of a sudden, he attacked Hubert.
“Bastard! So, you’re finally showing your true colours!” Hubert defended himself, expanding his hands to block the attack while shouting, “Now, you’ve proved that you had a hand in the deaths of Henrietta and Jyunta.”
“If you had suspected me all along, you should have taken action. Why did you decide to wait?” Jyovic Bone laughed, activating his Skills one after another, “Or…let me guess. Did you simply decide not to intervene since the truth might place you at risk? From young, you’ve been a coward, Hubert.”
“…” Hubert glared at Jyovic Bone. His body thinned a little before intense force emanated from his body, erecting a forcefield in the place as his presence overwhelmed everything, wishing to swallow everything in his way.
“Hahaha! You are indeed the most suited to wield Bone Devour. Even I cannot activate it to this extent.” Jyovic Bone laughed, “But, you see…I knew of it and had planned for it all along. As you’re my precious son, I gave you a certain something. Your version of Bone Devour is the same as Henrietta’s.”
Jyovic Bone smiled, snapping his fingers when Hubert’s imposing presence vanished all of a sudden, “Both of you were created as a tonic for my growth.”
With his Bone Devour deactivated all of a sudden, Hubert Bone was stupefied, having turned human-size immediately. But, before he could react and activate his Tier 5 Skill, a thick bone spear pierced his body, siphoning all his energy.
Hubert was shocked as he turned around, looking at Havita as he grumbled in anger, “Until the end, you are a freaking idiot. You’ll be next after me.”
But, right as he activated his Tier 5 Skill, intending to use his Warlord Transformation to deal with the two attackers, he realised that his Bone Devour started to work against him, beginning to eat his spine, devouring the part of the spine related to the Tier 5 Skill first.
Now, Hubert was unable to activate his Tier 5 Skill, helpless, dropping to the ground with a mild thud.
