Psychic Parasite: Final Serenity - Chapter 14
Child of Frenzy!
It wasn’t a Child of Wisdom, but a Child of Frenzy. Jyovic Bone sighed, having prepared for it all along. The linchpin of his plan was Jyunta Bone from the start. After all, he was a Child of Wisdom. Meaning, the fused region in his body consisted of both the Brain and the Spinal cord.
So, Jyunta Bone possessed both the abilities of an Esper and a Warrior. Before death, the Sync Rate of his brain was 36 percent and the Sync Rate of his spinal cord was 64 percent. Now that his Frenzy Parasite had devoured the Wisdom Parasites of Jyovic Bone, Henrietta Bone, Havita Bone, and Hubert Bone, all of which were Warriors with a 100 percent Sync Rate, the final Sync Rate of Jyovic Bone was as follows: 7.2 percent Sync Rate for the brain, and 92.8 percent Sync Rate for the spinal cord.
“Even though my Sync Rate for being an Esper is pitiful, as long as I can use psychic energy, I’ll be content,” Jyovic Bone smiled, “Once I become an Ancestor, both the Sync Rates would reach 100 percent anyway. That’s my goal.”
He then inspected his body, determining that there was nothing problematic, “Right, with a breakthrough, all problems would be fixed as this Frenzy Parasite would perfectly fuse into my body.”
After all, during a breakthrough, the Wisdom/Frenzy Parasite’s body would exit as tiny molecules and condense in either the Heart/Brain Crystal. And, once the breakthrough completes, it would break off from the Heart/Brain Crystal and return to the fused region.
This was the best method to make the Frenzy Parasite completely his and remove any Will or anything else that had been left behind by the others. It was wise to nip them all in the bud.
Just when he planned on heading somewhere else to attempt a breakthrough, Jyovic Bone thought, ‘As the Saturation Point in the Mental Realm is approaching, there is enough Cogen Phrenics everywhere in the Mental Realm. So, I can just break through here. It’s a lot safer too since I’ll be wanted by Marble City for what I have done.’
He had commanded Havita Bone to directly inform everything he had done to Psychic Ancestor Marble. That way, no one else would try to attempt something he had done. In the end, he didn’t wish for anything to befall Jyorta and Heima due to the actions the other Bone Family members might commit upon knowing of his actions and the secret of Bone Devour.
He knew very well that Havita Bone never said no to anything he had said. Had he wished to kill her, she would have meekly accepted it. That was why he didn’t kill her, sending her back to Marble City. Also, he didn’t need to devour her body anyway.
The bodies of Henrietta, Hubert, and Jyunta were enough. She was just a contingency plan. And, devouring her Relic was enough for that. Thankfully, Jyovic Bone had calculated everything without any errors.
Once he finished thinking about everything, Jyovic Bone meditated for a couple of hours, firming his mindset before attempting a breakthrough.
With enough expertise, he finished the fusion process in both his brain and heart, completing stage 1 of the breakthrough, thinking, ‘No wonder they are unable to reach Tier 2. This level of control is impossible for a Child of Wisdom/Frenzy since their breakthrough would automatically begin when they are six years old. Either that or the Frenzy Parasite kills the mind of the host, becoming the sole owner of the body, preventing it from being able to attempt a breakthrough ever again.’
Jyovic Bone could feel the Mental Realm wrapping around him as he was pulled into it. His form was a gigantic spherical beast whose entire body acted as its mouth. The moment it appeared, it looked at the four mouth clusters standing before it, derived from its Frenzy Parasite.
Following a short fight between the two, the gigantic mouth devoured the mouth cluster, using its tongue to wrap around the opponent’s core, preventing it from fusing into its body. With this, it wasn’t brought to reality immediately.
The massive mouth then looked at the innumerous Cogent Phrenics around that almost formed a sea. It opened its mouth, making cackling motions but didn’t produce any sounds since it was impossible to do so in the Mental Realm.
It then began to devour all the Cogent Phrenics that came its way, devouring them to the limit, only stopping when its body was immensely bloated to the extent its Will was failing to keep up the structure from collapsing. Upon reaching this point, the massive mouth swallowed its Frenzy Parasite’s core, returning to reality.
The moment he appeared, Jyovic Bone felt a splitting headache as he had devoured more experience fragments than he could endure, causing numerous tentacles to emerge from his body as he was losing control over himself.
But steadily, he meditated, barely controlling himself for the moment. He then headed towards one corner of the room, pushing a button to reveal another room. And, placed within it was a cabin, facing a tunnel.
There was a pod placed here that he entered, pressing a couple of buttons as he seated himself comfortably. The pod immediately began to accelerate through the tunnel through which rails had been installed.
As this was a project he had been working on for decades, ever since Jyunta Bone was born, he already had everything installed in place. ‘It would take time for Havita Bone to hunt the swarm and recover her Skills far away from the city. Only after that would she be confident enough to return to Marble City and confess about everything to Ancestor Marble. The entire process would take at least around two to three days. By then, I would have disappeared from this subcontinent.’
Four hours later, the pod reached the end of the tracks, stopping at a station. In these four hours, Jyovic Bone had meditated to calm himself to a certain extent, barely enough for him to move about without too many problems. ‘I still cannot use too much power since the essence of the Frenzy Parasite hasn’t returned to the fused regions. Even for me, it might take a day to do so.’
As it was dangerous to head outside in such a situation, especially into the part of the sea where the Floating Spiders and the swarm operated, Jyovic Bone calmly meditated at the place. And a day later, once he was able to use his Heart Crystal, he took seat within a submarine that he had prepared, opening the hatch to the tunnel as the ocean water rushed in.
He was already in the western banks of the subcontinent, entering the waters of the Arabian Sea as he set course towards the southern tip of Africa, smiling, “In the Silicon Era, it was called the Cape of Good Hope.. I guess it’s the best place to hide for now.”
