Psychic Parasite: Final Serenity - Chapter 21
“Alright, please sit here and face your back towards me,” Jyorta said, motioning Henrik to be seated on the ground.
As Henrik did as told, Jyorta sat a metre behind him, causing two Tier 3 River Whales to hover beside him. He then inserted a Soul Cornea into the one on his left while wrapping the other Soul Cornea around the blue soul, guarding it against the murkiness that would attack him the moment he activated his soul domain.
Fully prepared, the blue soul activated its soul domain, immediately shuddering when a mass of murkiness slammed into it. For a moment, the Soul Cornea was overwhelmed by the pressure, almost becoming polluted.
But, the first Soul Cornea supplied him with tremendous quantities of soul energy constantly. The blue soul used it, causing the second Soul Cornea to expend them to exhibit its influence, vaporising all the murkiness around it instantly.
Its influence slammed into Henrik’s soul, beginning to vaporise all the murkiness. Within a minute, all the murkiness was vaporised, revealing a gigantic cocoon within.
The cocoon spanned a length of four metres and a diameter of three metres. Contained within it was his actual soul. This was the soul shielding present in every person at Tier 3 and above. After all, at Tier 3, the souls of the person and his Wisdom Parasite would have finished synchronising in wavelength.
And, the moment this happens, a cocoon would form around them, protecting them against anything that might threaten their soul. And as time passes, this cocoon would only solidify further.
So, only by penetrating it would he be able to access the soul within. And, if Jyorta fails to do so, then his plans would collapse right then and there.
After taking in a deep breath, he extended the Soul Cornea covering the blue soul. As its length was more than four metres, it still had enough to move forward even after coiling itself around the blue soul.
At present, he only wished to see if he could penetrate the soul shielding of Henrik. As long as that was possible, he would be able to do something within two weeks.
The Soul Cornea stopped before the cocoon as its tip turned jet black. But, it didn’t proceed forward, remaining in place as more and more soul energy concentrated in the tip while the blue soul continued to increase the potency of corrosion.
Forming the core of the blue soul was a bluish figure of his previous self, only possessing a head and a body, lacking all four limbs. It had its mouth open now, unleashing a torrent of jet-black ink, the source of his corrosion.
As the blue soul continued to increase the corrosion’s potency, the head of the bluish figure began to turn jet black. The condition soon pervaded to its entire body as the potency of corrosion reached the maximum of what he was capable of.
Only now did the Soul Cornea move forth, touching the cocoon as it began to corrode through the surface, slowly penetrating it. The moment it started to penetrate it, Jyorta was overjoyed that it was possible.
Now, he only needed to spend time for the rest. The Sour Cornea was attacked constantly by the cocoon, intending to snuff it into nothing. But, the corrosion destroyed everything that touched the Soul Cornea as it headed deeper into the cocoon.
The energy expenditure was tremendous, but thanks to the support from the Tier 3 River Whales, Jyorta was able to press forth. More than ten minutes later, the Soul Cornea managed to penetrate through the cocoon, peeking into it as the blue soul processed everything that it sensed.
What was present within was a disaster more horrible than whatever he could think about. If the blue soul was exposed to the cocoon’s interior, then it would be destroyed in a couple of seconds.
Even now, the Soul Cornea had to constantly maintain its corrosion to barely hold on. And, even that was placing some strain on its structural makeup. After probing enough, and having sensed the position of the soul core of Henrik’s Wisdom Parasite, Jyorta retracted his Soul Cornea, saying, “It’s possible. I’ll barely be able to complete it before the time limit. But, you should also be sensing the changes by the end of this process. So, I’ll be able to extend the time limit a bit until I finish it.”
“That’s great.” Henrik nodded, getting up as he said, “Let me prepare myself. I’ll bring the Tier 4 Relic when my time starts. You can remain here until then. I’ll bring you to the walls once I get the Relic.”
“Alright,” Jyorta nodded, waiting in place as he seemed to be preparing himself.
Henrik vanished from the place, arriving at the lobby as he smiled, “He’s not saying it simply. It seems he has a certain level of guarantee to it. Haha, this is better than my original plan.”
While Jyorta was probing through his soul, he was probing through Jyorta. Thanks to his level of control, Jyorta failed to sense his actions, allowing him to calmly determine based on the physical, mental, hormonal, and aura fluctuations that whatever Jyorta had said before was indeed the truth.
Only with this level of guarantee was he able to proceed along with the trade. After all, he was waging his life here. This level of caution was the bare minimum necessity.
And during his probing, Henrik noticed the tattoo world in Jyorta’s body. Upon probing it further, he was shocked to find the presence of thousands of Frenzy Beast within, wondering just which technique allowed Jyorta to accomplish it.
It made him realise that the individual before him was special in a certain way. As he was one of the few that had witnessed Jyorta’s Graduation Ceremony, he was able to understand a little.
“I guess betting my life on him has greater odds. Is this how every pillar candidate is? They are surprisingly fearsome. Thankfully, they are on humanity’s side.” Laughing, he proceeded towards the headquarters of the Bone Family in Sector 9, 10th Ring, grabbing hold of the Tier 4 Relic, the only one of its kind after completing a bunch of formalities.
After that, his figure flashed, appearing before Jyorta Bone, “Let’s head towards the top of the walls first. We have 24 hours to use this Relic. Let’s make the best use of it.”
“Yes!” Jyorta nodded when Henrik wrapped him with his psychic arm.. Immediately, their figures vanished.
