Psychic Parasite: Final Serenity - Chapter 51
Boom!
Havita Bone slammed down onto an Aura Beast as her feet split off into five pieces that pierced through its body, rapidly draining it of its energy.
In response, using the surplus energy, she faced her palm towards a figure in the air, unleashing countless bone spikes. They were just the bones of her fingers, but as they flew in the air, they elongated in size thanks to the energy imbued in them.
The entity in the air wrapped four psychic arms around itself, defending against the attack. Even though it seemed like it was a Ground Controller, the amount of energy it had seemed endless, as despite the extent of damage it suffered, it constantly recovered.
After all, one of its arms turned pale blue, seeping into its body to heal all the injuries it sustained. All this entity did was focus on defending itself. Nothing more, nothing less.
But, Havita Bone was instead in dire straits, having to also fight against other Aura Beasts that snooped in to attack her.
She then extended her hand, clenching her hand into a fish before retracting it.
Suddenly, all the bone spikes that she had unleashed until now flew up from the ground, trembling as they melted into a greyish-white liquid, spinning as it formed a tornado, trapping the strange entity within.
“Success!” As the other Elders from the Bone Family rejoiced, Havita Bone’s expression paled.
She then shouted, “Hurry, bring me more Aura Beasts to use as fuel. It’s not trapped yet. Don’t forget that it’s energy reserves is practically endless.”
…
“Kaka!” Jyorta cackled evily as the Armed Beak killed a group of Aura Beasts. Faint aura particles emanated from the dead Aura Beasts, tempering the presences of both of them, including the egg and the other Frenzy Beasts he had brought with him.
Currently, he was marching forth with an army, bringing them with him to slaughter any and all Aura Beasts that he encountered.
For him, expending his energy reserves was a cause for concern, since he didn’t have much supplements to rely upon. But for the Frenzy Beasts, there was no such concern. They devoured everything in their path and digested them to supplement themselves.
The Essence of Frenzy was potent everywhere.
As for the Aura Beasts, they lived upon devouring the other Aura Beasts. It was their nature, so they too were fine.
If Jyorta consumed a Frenzy Beast, he would be seeking death. After all, the Essence of Frenzy would begin to affect his Wisdom Parasite. The last thing he wished was for his Wisdom Parasite to turn into a Frenzy Parasite and cause him to fall under the control of Rhachis Ancestor Parasite.
That would be a laughable situation.
As for consuming Aura Beasts, he had never consumed the flesh of a beast, neither in his past life, nor now. Even though he had lived through the memories of Frenzy Beasts consuming other Frenzy Beasts, that wasn’t him.
So, he didn’t want to proceed in that direction.
If only there were souls in every creature within the aura personification, his life would have been easier. ‘But, the Soul Path hasn’t even been developed a little. Of course, it wouldn’t be integrated into this place.’
He sighed before beginning to command his army to charge towards another location. He was aware of where to proceed to reach the core of the aura personification.
Every Aura Beast knew it. And, since the Armed Beak was able to fly in that direction, Jyorta wished to prepare next. At his current state, he was too weak.
He wouldn’t be able to affect the catalyst that had birthed this aura personification. So, he had to temper himself first.
Probably hunting for any and every single Aura Beast would be for the best. At present, most of his army consisted of Tier 1 Frenzy Beasts with a small group of Tier 2 Frenzy Beasts that formed the elite.
Then there was the Aura Beast, Armed Beak, whose strength was on par with a Tier 3 Frenzy Beast. Unlike a Frenzy Beast, it didn’t have any abilities. But, Jyorta didn’t worry about that, having been training it after he seeped in the sixth tattoo into it.
And this tattoo contained his knowledge about two abilities that he imbued into it, making it seem as if that too was part of it. As the tattoo slowly sunk into it, he constantly worked on it while making the Aura Beast fight.
The conditions necessary to activate it, the state of mind required to condense and unleash it, and finally, the way in which the aura had to be manipulated, the tattoo contained them all. Moreover, it made the Aura Beast believe that it had been able to use these abilities in the past but had forgotten them after it had become an adult now.
It was a small gimmick.
So, while fighting, the Armed Beak constantly tried to use the abilities. Even though it got careless as a result, Jyorta protected it using the Frenzy Beasts. This way, he trained it to eventually be able to unleash them.
Aura Beam!
Aura Personification—Insignificance!
What were the two necessary tools required for a predator of the skies?
An oppressive presence and a powerful attack. Even though its physical attacks were dangerous, they were useless against agile opponents like the Floating Spiders and Spindle Bees.
Rather, even Tier 1 Floating Spiders were able to evade its attacks. Against a higher Tiered Esper, it would be no different to a practice dummy.
So, he allowed it to learn Aura Beam to negate its weakness. Besides, he just wanted to make it do all the work and reap the rewards.
“Attack!” Upon spotting an Aura Beast that was on part with a Tier 3 Frenzy Beast, Jyorta commanded the Armed Beak, watching it hover high up in the air before opening its mouth to unleash a beam of energy, annihilating the foe until it was a mangled mess.
“Haha!” Jyorta laughed in response, making the egg hover above the crater in the ground, watching his physique being tempered with even more potency.
The Armed Beak chirped once as it gobbled up the corpse of its opponent, letting out a victorious shout.
