“Oh, I can offer something accordingly,” Jyorta laughed, causing Jyovic Bone to look at him in surprise.
Followed by a focused stare at Jyorta, Jyovic Bone sighed, “You have indeed changed. I thought you would be deterred by this impossible to acquire Contribution Points. But, it seems you already have thought of an answer.”
“Of course, I won’t make a deal without enough assets on my behalf,” Jyorta said, asking in response, “Do we have any Tier 3 Frenzy Beasts stored in our mansion? Ones that are alive.”
“Not here,” Jyovic Bone said, “But in our mansion in the 10th Ring, we do have Frenzy Beasts stored. They are those that have been captured to create Bone Devour. There are a couple of other Frenzy Beasts too that are involved in some of the other experiments we conduct.”
“Then, loan me 10 Tier 3 Frenzy Beasts, and as many Tier 2 Heart Crystals as possible. I’ll pay with interest using the corpses of the Swarm a couple of months later.” Jyorta smiled, then pointing his index finger up as he asked, “You just mentioned that the Wisdom Parasite would enact an orchestra in our minds nonstop once we reach Tier 3, right? And, this pushes us close to losing control, right? How much effect does a meditation chamber have on this?”
“Not much,” Jyovic Bone said, “When we are in a meditation chamber, the Wisdom Parasite cunningly stops all activities. And once we are busy with work, it resumes its chaos.”
“Then, this is what I’ll pay with. For a day’s worth of use of the Tier 4 Relic, I’ll install a safety net in a person’s presence that will allow them to control themselves moments before they are able to lose control or every time they are about to lose control. And, I can guarantee that this process can prevent them from losing control for at least a year from the day they show signs of losing control.” Jyorta said, turning silent as he just flashed a calm smile.
Jyovic Bone’s eye trembled as he digested the content, looking at Jyorta with a new light, “Is this related to the inheritance you obtained in the military academy.”
“Yes, there are just three people with this in Marble City. And one of them is Ancestor Strongest. And, unlike the other two, I have one advantage that I can use to make what I said a reality.” Jyorta asserted, “I’m the only one that can achieve this. And, you can extend this offer to the person that is next in line to loan out the Tier 4 Relic.”
He simply laid out the terms, stating what he was able to offer in return. The choice of a person being able to resist the act of losing control for a year after ending up in such a state was a tremendous boon. With an extra year, they would be able to grow that much stronger. And, when they consume a Cleansement Fruit, they would be stronger as compared to the initial case.
A year’s worth of accumulation would mean a tremendous difference. So, it was indeed an irresistible offer. As to how he would be able to achieve it, Jyorta was confident. He was a Psychic Parasite. Adding onto the Aura Induction atop his ability to experience the memory fragments in the souls of others, he would be able to develop the cure easily.
‘But first, I should increase my Sync Rate to 100 percent and destroy the remnant will of Ehara Gobi in the subsoul of my Wisdom Parasite.’ Jyorta thought, ‘And to do that, I need an unrelenting supply of energy.’
“Fine, I’ll allow that,” Jyovic Bone said after considering everything, “But, I won’t talk with the person who is loaning out the Relic tomorrow. Let’s postpone the date to three days later. The one loaning it on that day is someone from the Bone Family.”
‘So, he wishes for this advantage to be exclusive to the Bone Family for the time being. That’s fine with me, I guess.’ Jyorta nodded, “I need three days to finish my preparations too.”
He then asked, “As for the ten Tier 3 Frenzy Beasts, it would be optimal if they were River Whales. And, I also need as many Shoe Fishes as you can get. Since the military academy has them, I’m sure there is a channel to procure them. As for the cost involved, I’ll shoulder it myself.”
“Just do what you promised for one more Bone Family member. That should cover all the costs for whatever you need.” Jyovic Bone said, having understood his role in this. It was to act as an intermediary for this transaction.
Though, as it helped his Bone Family become stronger, he was glad. And in the end, Jyorta was using the resources of the Bone Family to strengthen it. It was a win-win situation. Moreover, it also gave him a clear excuse to support Jyorta without anyone else raising a complaint that Jyorta obtained benefits without working for it.
Now, all Jyovic Bone has to do is create the necessary channels for Jyorta to obtain what he needed by doing what he was capable of. This way, no resource was given to Jyorta for free. And, Jyorta not only trains his abilities but also grows in the process.
And when he arrived at this conclusion, Jyovic Bone was amazed, looking at Jyorta as he thought, ‘Even adding his previous life’s experiences, he’s only 37 years old. And, he spent 4 years in a coma while not experiencing anything significant for most of this life. Before he went to the military academy, he was smart, but not calculating to this extent.’
‘Just what had he done in this short one year?’ In his life, there hadn’t been many incidents that had surprised or shocked him to this extent. After all, he had even killed an Ancestor—the fourth Floating Spider Ancestor that died moments after reaching Tier 6 when he drilled out of its body. So, not many things were capable of affecting him.
But now, he was clearly able to sense the multitude of layers under Jyorta’s thought process, the considerations he had done before initiating a conversation, realising something he hadn’t been able to understand to date after he came to learn of Jyorta’s identity.
‘So, this is what a Psychic Parasite is capable of.’
