Psycho X Psychic - Chapter 252
Teren clicked his tongue and was about to leave her alone, but First took this chance to use town-wide fire and projected it towards him.
It has firepower that even Eron wouldn’t be able to match. Along with its devastating force was its intense speed. Teren’s running pace couldn’t be compared to it. If he was hit by this blast, there wouldn’t be anything left for him.
Teren felt his body hair stand up as he glanced to the side. There, he saw something that could be akin to a train from the underworld. Spirits merge and separate at the same time. Trees and boulders were no different from the wind in front of this energy. Behind the ghoulish energy enveloping the moving juggernaut, there was a single girl at the center of the spherical energy.
Her blonde ponytail flutters along with the immense force she brought forth. In a small gap of the ghoulish energy, there was eye contact in which Trisha winked at Teren.
Boom*
Two forces perpendicularly collided.
However, the net result was not zero. Trisha’s spherical energy overwhelmed the flamed as it does not even have the chance to penetrate her ‘shield’
“I thought I was dead back there… was the breakfast that delicious?”
Teren dropped onto the ground while he breathed in exhaustion.
“That almost killed you!”
Trisha laughed with a wide smile as she stood still, tanking the continuous flame First projected forward.
With a bead of sweat, First didn’t stop, instead, she redirected the projection in another direction, letting a wider area catch on fire.
Eron saw this and supported her, bathing the entire area in a fire.
“Support and protect Loar!”
He changed his plan and saw First as the key to this battle. The fire spread and turned its scale from a town-wide to city-wide within seconds!
“Come on!”
Trisha focused on her ghoulish energy, strengthening it as she was about to sprint forward again. But before she could do so, Teren held her arm and pulled her away.
“Let’s dodge this one then counterattack.”
Teren said which Trisha reluctantly nodded. But seeing that Teren was slower than usual, she smiled and carried him like a princess before running away at full speed.
“How does this feel!?”
Trisha laughed at the thought of humiliating Teren.
“Great, create as much distance as you can. Even you wouldn’t be able to handle this attack.”
“O-oh… so that’s the level of danger, okay.”
Trisha palpitated in excitement before increasing her speed.
“I haven’t done that to him yet.”
Dehian slightly bit her hand in irritation as she watched from above. She was about to step in earlier but she saw that Trisha was conveniently stepping into the scene.
Meanwhile, First hurried up as the distance between her and Teren was widening with a freakish speed. She doesn’t know who the blonde girl was but if she was helping Teren then she’s an enemy as well!
Blood dripped from her nose as First waved her hand. The city-wide hellfire reluctantly moved with her. It was like a baby carrying weights. However, First persevered and compressed the wide fire into a blast that only her father with the Great Spirit of Dragon could accomplish.
Something akin to a true Dragon Breath.
Like a giant death laser, the city-wide flame was compressed and fired towards Teren and Trisha with lightning speed.
“That’s hella dangerous!”
Trisha who was headstrong no matter what was in front of her felt slight anxiety when she turned her head. The thick fire beam was obliterating and burning the area that it passes through without even touching them.
“Release me and I’ll kick you.”
It sounded like a threat from Teren but Trisha immediately did as she readied her palms. Teren kicked her palm, making them separate in a blink of an eye, barely dodging the fire death laser traveling at lightning speed.
First wanted to shout in regret as she failed to hit them. However, she was not done. She tried to change the direction of the beam even though it felt like she was moving a mountain.
“Grr!!”
Her eyes became red from the force she’s giving out. However, her consciousness faded out before she could fully stabilize the flame. After all, she was still young without the Great Spirit of Dragon. She was only about to temporarily reach the level of her father due to Eron’s help and her talent.
The fire beam dropped and dispersed. Everyone would’ve thought that this was just a dream if not for the destruction the beam have left behind.
Meanwhile, Trisha ran towards Teren who was burned. He didn’t the energy barrier-like as she does.
“I’m… fine…”
He gasped out of exhaustion as he continuously heals himself.
“You’re almost naked.”
“Don’t mention that.”
“Don’t worry, your pants seemed to be doing well.”
“I guess that’s a plus… also, stop caressing my belly.”
“I was not caressing your abs!”
Trisha felt she was wronged before helping Teren stand up by holding his belly and shoulders. After their little exchange, multiple people revealed themselves around Teren. Among them, Eron was carrying First. He gave her to one of his people and ordered them to evacuate her.
“Trisha, now, I remember. You’re that girl from the Feralle Family who naturally attracts Spirits. In protecting Teren, are you representing your family?”
Eron asked. That was the reason he didn’t immediately attack.
Trisha felt Teren’s tapping so she nodded.
“Y-yes, so what?”
“… are you sure you want to make the Drago House your enemy by protecting one man? As you can see, the Devil Himself has already passed his prime. Is there any reason in continuing to protect him?”
Eron asked with a serious threat.
Trisha glanced at Teren, wanting some hints on what to say. It’s not that she’s stupid but she doesn’t know the full context. What if she answered wrong?
Teren deeply breathed stood straight as his wounds heal at an accelerated rate. He just finished removing the cinders that continuously eat up his skin.
“Where’s Ivan? I want to ask him why he wants to frame me for killing his own brother.”
Teren finally said as he gained the space to talk.
