Psycho X Psychic - Chapter 267
Nick glanced to his side and noticed the heartbroken face of Chihua. He was unable to sympathize but at least he could understand.
‘So he likes her. Unfortunately for him, she met Teren. Although Teren doesn’t seem the type of guy to have polygamy?’
He thought but it was not his business anyway. Nick was excited for later. Since Teren has a lot of money, he was not guilty that he’s kind of sucking it from him.
After all, Nick did go through a lot because of Teren. Furthermore, Nick could feel like Teren is his genuine friend now. However, he wasn’t sure so he don’t want to go overboard or he might invade Teren’s privacy.
‘But with how Teren’s acting right now, I wish he could really treat me like a friend.’
“Chihua, what’s wrong?”
Trisha then noticed him and asked.
“… n-nothing…”
Chihua just took a bite from his free meal in an attempt to make himself feel better. However, it was ultimately futile.
Hearing this, Teren found something that he was curious about.
“Chihua? Is that his nickname? For sure, I know his name is Christian.”
“Oh, it’s the pet name I gave him. Becuase he’s my dog and the name Christian is close to Chihuahua, right?”
Trisha looked at Chihua to which he nodded.
“You’re agreeing with that?”
Teren raised an eyebrow which hurt Chihua’s pride. He felt like he’s not a man right now. However, Teren was just genuinely concerned. How could someone bear to have and be called a pet name?
“Of course, he does. Also, it’s not like you’re not the same as me.”
“But… I’m not giving you a pet name.”
“Well, you should.”
“No, I think Trisha is fine.”
“…”
Both Chihua and Nick paused to think about what they just heard. Did they hear it wrong? Did they get lost midway through? Because from that logic, it sounds like Trisha is calling herself Teren’s pet.
This is baffling to Nick since why would you legitimately call yourself another person’s pet?
Meanwhile, Chihua was stupefied by the fact that his Boss is willing to be under someone.
So… they must’ve heard it wrong, right? Yeah, they must’ve heard it wrong.
While the two forgot about what they just heard, lunchbreak finished and the two pairs separated. Trisha asked where they would practice and Nick answered the location. It seemed that she’s serious about going there later.
“When did you and that girl… the Boss of the Public become suddenly so close?”
Nick was finally able to ask after Trisha and Chihua were gone. However, Teren just shrugged his shoulders. Normally, he wouldn’t care if others knows his atrocities. But for some reason, he didn’t want Nick to learn of these.
“A lot happened.”
“I remembered that you took her away. I thought that I will not see her again but the opposite happened.”
“Is that bad?”
“No, I guess it’s some sort of a pleasant surprise? But, I mean, it has nothing to do with me so it’s just a surprise.”
Nick explained as they return to school for the afternoon class. Like this morning, Teren just flirted with Iesa without anyone knowing. They were like kids who don’t get tired of doing the same thing over and over again. It’s like they have their own world within that room.
Just like that, the rest of the class just passed by and it was time for Teren to meet up with the Devi House.
Meanwhile, at the warehouse, there was a riot. Uncle Jo, Old Derman, and Nathan were naturally at the front with some people behind them.
In front of them were Mesi, Derek, and Matthew while behind them were the majority of the Aberrants in the city. Alph and his group were not there, only his representative, the first Beta who stand behind Mesi too.
Mesi looked down at Uncle Jo with his eyes squinted while his thoughts were-
‘Shit… what should I do? I’ve been just staring at them. Are these people not enough that I’m tolerating them?’
“Go, Mesi, beat them up!”
“We can no longer bear all the orders from these weaklings!”
“Mesi! Mesi! Mesi!”
The majority of Aberrants were chanting and supporting Mesi as he wore an intimidating expression.
The Aberrants have learned what happened to the former members of the Handwing and Spectre Gangs. They thought that it was Uncle Jo and Old Derman who ‘disposed’ of their former members, garnering distrusts.
Furthermore, they were always saying that the true boss was the Devil Himself but… where is this Devil Himself?
When they, the Aberrants, ‘realized’ they were just being played around while being deceived, they felt wronged. They couldn’t defeat either Old Derman, Uncle Jo, or Nathan but together, they are strong.
Of course, this is where Mess comes in. He, Matthew, and Derek were not supposed to be pulled into this. Actually, Mesi just wants to avoid any encounter with the Devil Himself, the killer of his father, the Ogre, former boss of the now-gone Handwing Gang.
Yet, with a twist of fate, his name spread out the moment he walked out of the Heren City Prison. Aberrants naturally follow him as strength says it all. Although they can outnumber the three ‘leaders’ of the Devi House while they exclude Hanon and the always invisible, Dennis who always stays under Uncle Jo’s shadow. He’s like their hidden card with Hanon.
However, even with the two, they were not confident against Mesi who just received the title, the “Blood Ghoul” from the Aberrants. They weren’t there when Mesi ‘revealed’ his power when he and his friends were attacked but from the rumors, it sounds like Mesi is not someone to be trifled with.
“Are you all sure you want to do this? If the Devil Him-”
“Devil Himself this, Devil himself that! How could the Devil Himself be in this place!?”
A random Aberrant interrupted Uncle Jo’s words as the others followed.
“You are just shamelessly using that devil’s name!”
“Does the Devil Himself really exist?!”
“Bwahahaha! I bet these old fools are just trying to scare us with a made-up story!”
The warehouse was filled with a cacophony of mockery. Uncle Jo was reaching his limit and wanted to slap these fools. However, they are many. Also, even though Mesi seemed to be acting passive, impulsive actions might spark a wildfire. Therefore, Old Derman just placed his palm on Uncle Jo’s back.
“They have numbers and have already taken their win for granted.”
“Tsk!” Nathan clicked his tongue, “I bet they are just sour and has been keeping a grudge about how we ‘recruited’ them! They were the ones who gave the first punch and now they are being sore losers that they were beath up!”
He intentionally made his voice loud, offending each Aberrant who really kept a grudge.
“What did you say!? You were just ganging up on us back then!”
“I was only beaten up because I haven’t had lunch that time!”
“Uncle Jo’s scary stare is distracting me back then!”
Hearing this popped a nerve on Nathan’s forehead.
“Who wants to go one on one with me!? Let’s prove it to everyone who really won and who really lost?”
The cacophony’s volume lessened as the Aberrants looked at each other.
“You go fight him.”
“No, you go.”
They were pushing each other until one shouted.
“Mesi!”
Afterward, the rest found a way out and followed that shout.
“Right, Mesi! Mesi!”
“Mesi!”
“Mesi!”
Gulp*
Mesi glanced at Derek and Matthew, asking for help.
“This is the consequences of your action, Mesi. You should learn how to say no next time.”
Matthew whispered to him.
Meanwhile, Uncle Jo was looking at Mesi and was indirectly saying ‘no’. Mesi has known Uncle Jo since he was the Ogre’s right hand back in the days. However, the two didn’t really have the chance to talk to know what each other was thinking.
They thought that they were really against one another while Uncle Jo was hoping that Mesi would ‘straighten up’
Meanwhile, outside, Teren and Nick just arrived at the warehouse, hearing the chant from afar.
“It’s starting… they were not this straightforward last time.”
Nick sweated, intimidated to walk into a place where a fight would spark at any moment.
“We should stop this right now.”
Teren said as he tried to come in but there’s a lot of people so he asked.
“Excuse me.”
“Hm? You’re Nathan’s little brother and… who’s this kid you brought?”
One of the Aberrant turned towards them and asked with a raised eyebrow. They were all new and don’t have any idea who Teren was.
“A kid? Um, Mister, this is Teren Hark, the boss of the Devi House.”
Nick explained to which Teren felt a little odd.
“Huh? Are you saying that he’s the Devil Himself?”
The Aberrant pointed towards Teren.
“Yes, he is.” Nick nodded to which the Aberrant called out his friends and mockingly explained.
“Look, guys, the Devil Himself is here!”
“Really? That kid?”
“Yeah, Nathan’s little brother is telling that this kid is the Devil Himself, the boss of the Devi House, he said.”
“Bwahahaha, that’s hilarious!”
One of the Aberrant’s friends who was laughing hard stepped forward to put his hand onto Teren’s shoulder in an attempt to establish dominance.
“I can’t believe you’re the Devil Himself. I’m so scared! Hahaha!”
Teren’s eyelids dropped.. He forgot that in a place where strength determines one’s position, being polite is a must-not.
