Queen Of Hearts Is The CEO’s, Mysterious Love. - Chapter 105
The car pulled off outside the main door and at the first halting moment, Li Na pushed the car’s door and went inside swiftly taking agile strides without a backward glance as if walking away from the curse of her life.
From the beginning, it’s always Lu Jianjun who has to mess up everything according to his convenience and she was tolerating all because she thought his hostility and cold attitude was towards Li Na, not for Mei Xing. since now she’s proved wrong. There’s no point in being polite and friendly anymore. She got no interest in entertaining any of their coldness and rudeness. What injustice has she done to Lu Jianjun to suffer from his occultation all the time wherever she goes, whatever she does, he’s becoming like a persistent headache that won’t go away?
As she walked aggressively towards the stairs, Li Na swore under her breath fumingly. Lu Jianjun needs to be stopped at any cost. She can’t let him constantly lingering around her like a nanny.
If Lu Jianjun got real issues with Mei Xing then she immediately needs to find ways to know his matter so that Li Na can stop beating around the bush and get into the designated warzone if he still remains adamant about killing her to bite that bullet before chasing those bigger fish to fry. She got more mysteries to rack her brain on rather than Lu Jianjun. She refused to believe she had ever hurt Lu Jianjun intentionally, either he’s highly mistaken or a completely crazy man to ȧssume that.
‘No, not poss…Yes, it is possible. It’s only human who gets insanely unpredictable at times.’ she bemused grudgingly against a particular human. For God’s sake, before molding into Li Na, she doesn’t even know there’s a man named Lu Jianjun who had life and death concerns with her to plot against him.
Li Na rushed into climbing the stairs, the fact, that presently her room has been changed to the next door of her previous accommodation simply slipped through her mind. It’s only when she looked up and her hand rested on doorknob it clicked. She frowns and looked back towards the adjacent door. As she recalled the morning fuss and now that all her belonging was behind that door. She mildly ġrȯȧnėd in frustration, and suddenly her weak hand fell off the knob.
With a frustrating sense of defeat, she turned around to lean back on the wall beside the door as if she has no strength left to any more people for today. She needs rest, and peace and comfort. Where she can get those things? And she knew what she missing exactly for the first time in years believing she had fully grown out of such sickness.
‘No, I’m not!…I’m not homesick.” she tried to fool her insides it’s better to block yourself than entangling in false hope and optimism. ‘I don’t want to live like this anymore’, her interlinings responded back.
Feeble, Li Na gulped feeling thirsty she licked her shriveled lips and smiled faintly. Sadness and pain reflected in her eyes as she mused. ‘Say whatever you want…like hell I’m falling into depression over this situation.’ She got no choice nor she accepts anything less than fighting for her happiness after all she is known to be a resilient woman. Nothing should be changed, and nothing is going to change!
She just needed a little private space and time for herself and she’ll figure it out all.
Taking a deep breath of strength, when Li Na soundlessly opened the door of Little Tiger’s room, hoping for him to be asleep so that he won’t fret if she spends some undisturbed and peaceful time in his presence maybe she can get rid of this lousy feeling of loss and grief, trying to consuming her slowly, she might able to see the light at the end of this dark tunnel called Li Na’s life, otherwise contrarily if Little Tiger is awake she knew he would mind her proximity a lot and the inherent conflict in him is bound to rise as her little boy too needed some time to adjust to his new mother’s newfound liking towards him.
Li Na peeked inside a little to be sure of his presence, her eyes softened melting the ice. As usual, Little Tiger was playing with his brain engaging stuff and gadgets in his room on the sofa, with his single-minded attention on the game, fully engrossed Little Tiger didn’t waver from his spot.
Li Na stood quietly while savoring the moment. She felt light-hearted and relief washed over her wrecked nerves thanking herself for the moment that she made this wise decision on choosing Little Tiger over everything else. Even if Little Tiger doesn’t reciprocate to her he’s still a worthy son. His mere existence and being his mother swelled her heart with joyous pride as a sense of accomplishment he makes her feel every time she looked at this boy.
For some moments of silence, Li Na stood at the door motionless. Suddenly, overwhelm with emotions her eyes began to prickle as it pained her heart to stared at her baby but not being able to embrace him whenever she wanted or to say at this instant when she needed the most. ‘Just a hug, no kisses, no cuddles,’ she bargained internally, to slowly gave a shook of the head in disagreement to herself. Before Li Na could lose her restraint and decides to disregard Little Tiger’s will and enfold him her vice grip of a hug she chooses to leave as silently as she came.
Subconsciously, Little Tiger felt as if someone was staring at him, as Li Na dazedly pulled the door closed to shut a tear escaped her eyes fell on her cheek, his deep focus shattered he blinked innocently at this feeling of strange uneasiness crawling in his heart as if he too wanted to cry suddenly, unsettled Little Tiger abruptly turned back. His eyes widened when he saw his mother’s damp eyelids lowered, and her pursed lips smiled slightly before she stepped back and turned around. Startled, before he could see her properly the door was silently shut closed and she went away. Little Tiger blinked softly.
With a loud alarm ringing in his head and heart to wreak havoc, Little Tiger sat frozen beholding that one tear rolling down on her cheek. Horror stricken, Little Tiger’s chubby finger holding onto the remote controller trembles as his heart cried out. She was crying…his mother was crying.
When Li Na turned around she wiped her damped cheek as Butler Wu halted in front of her. Surprised to see her only standing outside the door. He thought she would proceed and try to communicate with Little Tiger as Butler Wu immediately hurried upstairs to aid if Little Tiger opts to misbehave with Li Na as he did in the morning at the breakfast table when she advised him to eat slowly and in response, Little Tiger disregarded her words and retorted stubbornly.
Instead, for this instance, Li Na showed no will to take part in such happenings with Little Tiger. Still, to encourage the young mother Butler Wu smiled politely, and about to say, “Miss Li…” just then Li Na responded with a smiled and asked sweetly, “Elder Wu, I don’t feel good. Maybe a little headache and feverish. Will you please help me get some medicine?”
Now that Li Na said herself and Butler Wu noticed and instantly alerted to see her sickly and tiresome features. He promptly suggested, “Sure, Miss Li. I’ll call your doctor immediately. Do you need anything else?” he asked urgently. Li Na didn’t refuse the offer as it’s better to get checked up than taking medicine without a doctor’s prescription as for other questions she quietly shook her head.
Worn out, Li Na entered Lu Jianjun’s bedroom as her eyes swept over the dark shadowy room, coldness returned with an anonymous ferocity swirled in them her soft features hardened instantly.
She walked into their huge closet and opened the cabinet which reminded her of the unpacked stuff in the boxes lying on the lower shelves. Though, her clothes and necessary accessories were neatly hanged and arranged before she headed out for Glam Queen after breakfast. Her fists tighten as she reflected never to unpack the remaining stuff and pack up the arranged one instead. She doesn’t even need to pretend to be Li Na anymore in front of Lu Jianjun. Well if he knows everything already then what’s the point of faking all this anymore. She’s good, on her way away from him and as far as she is concerned for Little Tiger…
Just then Li Na hears the click of the door. In the closed and darkened room, Li Na hears the lights switched on, illuminating the whole space which she didn’t intend to see. Her eyes narrowed and irritation sparked in them. As Lu Jianjun calmly strode towards the huge closet while unbuckling his wristwatch, Li Na slammed the closet door on his face with such force that it startled the completely off-guarded Lu Jianjun who stood stumped in his own bedroom.
