Queen Of Hearts Is The CEO’s, Mysterious Love. - Chapter 108
Li Na swore under her breath regretting what just happened. They really need to restrain themselves to prevent Little Tiger from getting affected negatively.
Her brows knitted deeply after a long pause she didn’t hear any response, but then she heard Lu Jianjun speaking and she banged the door and spoke, “Lu Jianjun, open the door.”
Still, in a revenge mood, Lu Jianjun retorted tauntingly, “Don’t hurry. Take all your time and privacy and do as wish.” Li Na gritted her teeth. ‘Well, I wish to slap you right now,’ she mused but held her words back knowing Little Tiger is also present with them and then in Little Tiger’s eyes this will only spoil her image more than it already is.
Lu Jianjun looked at Little Tiger who seemed comfortable and relaxed now that he knows they were only talking told by his father, Little Tiger convinced, they were suitably arguing but there seems to be something very off as he listens to them now. But Little Tiger chooses to believe his father’s word for safety purposes over the wild imagination he had previously. Lu Jianjun wonders what was Little Tiger thinking while peeking inside because he looked scared and horrified as if he’s going to witness a horrible scene inside.
“Enough, for now, Lu Jianjun. I’m serious. Open the door I want to talk to Little Tiger.” She said with major concern, while also trying best not to lose her temper.
“I don’t think you’re in the right frame of mind to talk, you might scare him more,” Then he turned to Little Tiger and told the boy in a serious tone as if warning him about her. “She got mad at me for no particular reason and I can’t trust her with you,” Little Tiger’s eyes widened in shock after knowing she got mad for no reason obviously she’ll skim him alive then, but the boy seems to have light bulb moment in his head as his mother gave his father a befitting reply.
Amusingly watching and hearing them talk, Little Tiger seemed to have understood something deep himself. He found a new way of fighting. Their tone of voice was entirely different from the supporting words they speak. Completely opposite, such words and circumstance was jumbling to understand but not difficult. They’re attacking each other with words. He concluded, with a spark of surprise and amusement in his eyes. Only using words!
Then Little Tiger’s lips pouted as he thought hard and deep about this situation of two people attacking each other like this. Does this come under violence or non-violence? But they’re not using abusing words! Little Tiger had heard a few fits of abuse when Lu Jun-hui used to long ago in his presence and then his father used to punish his uncle. So much that Lu Jun-hui almost forgot all curse words he knew, now he warned and prohibits others from using them.
Little Tiger found this concept of fighting quit amusing only if he could understand, over what things and why are they arguing so deeply. But he’s fine as long as they’re not hurting each other with words or raising their hands to hit in an argument. This exchange looks quite smooth and peaceful or is it because he doesn’t understand anything at all and misunderstood something.
For a long time, the confused four-year-old kid mused deeply over this debate between his parents, unsure of its safety and severity to concluding any decision. But he was entirely hooked by their responses they were throwing at each other. Perhaps he could learn something from this. he missed so much talking now he can’t focus on one thing only stared from one end to another as if doing the neck exercise.
“Hey, don’t lie to him. I was angry because you don’t trust me and keep disturbing me while…” Lu Jianjun cut her off abruptly before she lists a long slip of his crimes to charge him.
“You accusing me of something I never did. Still, I’m letting you off. You can apologize to me or take your long enough time inside to cool down. I can wait! But now that you said yourself, my trust in you has really started to waver. Oh wait!” he paused a second before saying crossly, “Congratulation you succeeded in your only task. You can still blame me for your fault!” He sounded like he gave a huge victory to her for which she was fighting against him.
Li Na rilled up now. Fine, you still want to play! We’ll play the most friendly match. then she retorted very sweetly.
“And exactly, What blunder have I done to flutter your trust? I’m doing everything as told. What else you expect me to do, and How to win your trust back? Something I never had to begin with. Huh? We should play truth and dare at my life’s stake. Maybe that will earn me an extra bonus for your trust to restore in you again and again because you seem very fragile to have lasted. I should be more careful with such a softy.” She retorted crossly but her voice was as gentle as talking to an angry child she cajoling. Lu Jianjun grinned which didn’t reach up to his darkened eyes.
He said, understandingly. “Sounds good to me! You deserve a reward for your considerate thinking. After all, you did behave properly and used such nice words for me and that so… nicely put. I’m deeply touched. But don’t worry I won’t ask you anything your incapable to do, I’ll be kind enough for you to show mercy in dares so that you can be brave enough to take dares at times. Otherwise, you’ll have to spill out all truth of the universe hidden in your stomach.” He threw back at her.
“Of course, you’ll be. But I won’t be biased with at all. Otherwise, you knew I remember the most fundamental truth of the universe called returning the favor back with interest rates. Especially, to those who have such pure and good intentions towards me. You choose the right decision to be kind or I won’t let you go without being grateful to me in return.” Jerk! She held back that last word and took a deep breath lastly.
Lu Jianjun had the worst come back for her on gratefulness that might include Little Tiger but that will be overseen as stepping the boundary as he gave another short reply like brushing off the argument for her own good. “Sure, why not you first return this favor of giving you privacy back after that we’ll see who justifies being trusted.”
“Fine, if you don’t then I know how to open the door,” she said gladly yet grittily.
“I know so many things to open that you will find me opening-up everything for you worth celebrating,” he said boldly with a smirk knowing Li Na wouldn’t miss that ȧssociated meaning. Whereas Li Na stopped in her track and she fumed up at his audacity to say such a thing in the presence of a child her fist tighten. ‘Shameless Jerk! For this lone statement, I can break your nose, Lu.Jian.Jun” she swore under her breath.
She shouted, “Lu Jianjun… wait for me, instead of an apology, I’ve got a worthy gift for you. So you can celebrate too.” Li Na put her fingers into her ears preventing her ears from listening anymore of his retorts that she can’t stop reply. She got to get out of here, first! To give him a befitting reply. Li Na went inside the bathrooms and quietly shut the door to the block noises.
A frown etched his forehead when Lu Jianjun didn’t hear any response of noise from inside. She accepted her defeat. He himself found these few words unbelieving and nothing than a lame joke to his ears. The worry marred on his replaced with realization as he heard the voices coming from staircases.
He looked at Little Tiger again and reminded himself of the image his boy had of him was anything but nothing close to the cruel and unyielding man Lu Jianjun is in real life. Still, stuck in his head Little Tiger scratched his head confusingly if he can ever think of such quick replies his parents threw at each other which he’s incapable of understanding even a word. to his inexperienced brain and ears that seem like the flooding of considerate and gentle talking.
Then he turned to the hurried steps coming towards them and he turned to see slightly worried Butler Wu rushed up along with a Doctor behind him. Both father and son, duo frown to see the Doctor.
“Li Na? Is she alright? Where is she?” Butler Wu asked Lu Jianjun looking concerned for the sick girl.
In the flow, Lu Jianjun was about to retort with a taunt when he held back just because it was Butler Wu who had raised the question, ” Yes,” he replied faintly. Little Tiger too nodded his head ȧssuringly while backing his father’s response as he pointed his finger towards the closet door generously showing Butler Wu, where she is right now?
By that time, butler Wu had proceeded towards the closet to open the door. When Lu Jianjun asked, sharply, “What are you doing?”
Butler Wu paused in his action and turned to reply hastily, “Young Master, Li Na had a headache and fever. I’m worried she might have fainted. I can’t hear her…” as Butler Wu said that he turned to knock on the door calling her name. “Li Na, are you there?” he asked.
After a fleetingly long pause when no response came, though it didn’t make Lu Jianjun worried in the least, wide-eyed, Little Tiger worryingly looked at his father as if asking for his help. As reluctantly Lu Jianjun left Little Tiger on the sofa and slowly went to unlock the door to see the drama girl. A sweet voice of response in a single word, ‘Yes’ came from inside and Bulter Wu hurriedly opened the door.
The bored expression on Lu Jianjun’s face changed to an offended one when he saw Li Na’s winning expressions and a smile for Butler Wu as she thanked the old man. Feeling betrayed, Lu Jianjun shockingly looked at Butler Wu who swiftly turned away his face in another direction to look at the Doctor.
Lu Jianjun’s eyes narrowed as he speculated before that Li Na might use the intercom inside the bathroom to call for help but he didn’t know anyone in his staff would dare to disobey or betrayed him the way Butler Wu did to help Li Na. What convinced Butler Wu to trick him along with Li Na?
“Humanity! You like my in-returned favor?” Li Na replied as she passed by Lu Jianjun and responded like she was reading his mind. Lu Jianjun snapped to look at her back. Her doubled-wedged answer and favor cut deeper than the thought he had. She made Butler Wu deceived him in return of the locking her inside favor. and walked out like the boss.
Lu Jianjun smirked with cold eyes. Soon, she’ll know who’s the real boss. Though, it was such a delightful first confrontation with Mei Xing worth remembering he wouldn’t expect anything less from her. She’s worth his time spending on to know her.
