Queen Of Hearts Is The CEO’s, Mysterious Love. - Chapter 137
Li Na walked a couple of steps ahead as she strode to the open car park and instantly summoned the driver standing beside it with folded hands. She snapped her fingers casually to get his attention and the man looked up as she demanded the car keys. The driver hesitated a bit but shortly he saw Lu Jianjun walking out and as Li Na too noticed the man’s footstep, she said something and the driver immediately handed the car keys to her before she motioned him to move aside.
Li Na walked swiftly around the car and was about to get into the gorgeous car but then a powerful hand came forward and callously shut the door from her behind. Not surprised, Li Na frowned and turned around.
“What exactly is your problem?” she asked soberly.
Dark lines formed on his face, “You know exactly what is my problem! Don’t act like a child…”
“Then just stop treating me like a child!” she yelled at him and in a fit of anger pushed his hand away from the car’s surface and attempted to open the car’s door. As if bitten by the thwart hard finger grip her arm, Lu Jianjun swiveled her around to face him and slammed his palms vigorously, caging her frail frame in between his arms.
Li Na’s heart leaped to her throat, an incoherent gasp escaped her mouth as a shock swing rushing through her body. Repelled, she fought the deceptive capture by pushing his both arms with all the strength she could gather. But the roughly clamped arms didn’t budge in an inch.
Instead, cold ferocity swamped through Lu Jianjun’s features and he took a soundless step forward, narrowing the distance between further. She had to push the solid wall of his ċhėst to block him. And as her dark orbs waver thoughtfully, he caught her intention to escape she was just to bend her knees when his arms swiftly dropped down beside her waist effectively holding her in place and freezing all her movement.
All of sudden, her anger restored with an unknown panic as he stepped even closer that she could hardly move her limbs. There wasn’t the gap of an inch between them now…she can feel the angry rush of blood and wildly pounding heartbeats beneath the furious slamming fist that made her retreat in fright and she had to stick her back to the car’s surface to keep the whatever little space she could between them.
Her tensed fist flinched ever so lightly, “Leave my way!” she hissed with clenched teeth and a red face. Lu Jianjun didn’t stir an inch, as his adamant contention was enough to tell how angry he was for being ignored and disregarded by her.
“I’m not enjoying this myself, but don’t you dare walk out like that again,” Lu Jianjun said with deadly calm, pure aggression was exuding from every bit of his frame. Laden with resentment, Li Na looked at the man, towering over her head with hateful eyes. She had never seen him this much angry and resentful.
Wide-eye, the driver felt paralyzed to move from shock and finds his cheeks turning hot all of sudden, yet he couldn’t even look away from their intimate closeness, anticipating something exciting to follow to testify what he is envisioning is accurate. Then, abruptly, Lu Jianjun’s frosty glare shifted to him and as if he was punched hard on the face, he staggered back to his feet and turned to flee from the scene.
Li Na overheard the cowardly escape of steps of the man running away that enforced her to struggle to find Lu Jianjun distracted and get free from his punishing cuddle-like embrace. His gaze lowered, but he quietly waited for her to stop struggling and aid to his authority. And the instant their eyes clashed, she paused in the middle of lashing out at his ribs. “Let me go!” she shrieked.
“You’re not leaving!” Lu Jianjun’s piercing stare was unnerving as if he was suppressing the anger that could lead to violent actions if she goes against him.
Li Na raved at his audacity to control her, “I’ve work to do, now get out of my way!” her anger-laced tone and furious look made Lu Jianjun riled up further. As if through a mist of anger, Li Na’s hand raised involuntarily to slap or get detached from the hold rigid stranger anyhow. But her hand stilled before it could come in contact with a pared cheek.
As Lu Jianjun dodged the attack by jerking his head back, the shock was clearly visible on his face that she has the nerve to lift her hand to hit, so rage-filled and too infuriated to pay heeds to any of opposing rationality screaming inside his head, his face hardened.
The next moment, powerful fingers viciously gripped the delicate wrist with bone-crushing strength as he twisted them back. She yelped in pain as he yanked her violently towards himself, compelling her to raise alarmed and angry eyes to his frosty ones.
“Don’t misunderstand my patience to be your strength, you might have the courage to fight other men but don’t you dare to challenge me in this,” he warned coldly. Li Na stood rooted, seized by shock and strain of the substantial force.
Two unflinchingly watery eyes silently blinked at him while being invasive to reveal any weakness, her body stiffed with ȧssailing pain shot up from prior wounds as he held her waist tightly that she could not focus her mind to give a befitting reply.
Somewhat negligent of the damage he had now caused, Lu Jianjun’s expression intricate from pointedly destructive to mild uncertainty. And the lack of any sturdy rejoinder from her made him reflect upon his actions. “Let.Me.Go.” she seethed hatefully and to her astonishment, the agonizing hold on her slackened instantly. And as she watched apprehensively, Lu Jianjun stepped back. His face has an agitation that stunned and terrified him as if he was contemplating what insanity had caught over him to lose his calm. It couldn’t be just because he watched her spun towards the door and walked out indifferently.
And as he looked up at the stubborn yet breathing cause solely responsible for all his agitation and turbulence, Lu Jianjun snatched the car keys from her hand. Ignoring all the protest and hand beating, he pulled Li Na towards the passenger seat. Open the car’s door and go all out to get the rigid girl seated by picking her up and settling her on the seat.
He then went around and get inside as he asked stonily, “Where were you going?”
“I was going to hell, you moron!” she yelled and threw some articles of display laying idle in the car at his face.
