Queen Of Hearts Is The CEO’s, Mysterious Love. - Chapter 141
With a skeptical gaze and wrathful face, Li Na watched him tore the packet, in the middle of doing so she looked up when Lu Jianjun suddenly stopped.
“Turn around,” he demanded swiftly. Her face contorted fiercely and with immense restraint, she clenched her fist to ward off snatching the envelope from his hand.
“I won’t,” she denied outrageously.
“Can’t you trust me?”
“I haven’t lost my mind yet,” she quietly yelled at him.
“Exactly!” he conceded smoothly and said, “I too haven’t lost it to trust you, so please turn around and let me do the needful,”
She pulled back instead, glancing away from him.
“So you won’t?” he frowned.
“What makes you think I’ll?” she inquisitively asked with a raised brow.
“Li Na, if you don’t let me then I’ll have to leave you there, they allow no outsider to visit and if anyone does it’s under strict protocols.” Lu Jianjun tried to explain as moderately as he could and when he saw her giving it a second thought he added, ” And if you could trust my words, those protocols aren’t what you’ll like to adhere to. So much so that if you violate one, they won’t allow you to leave that place ever, then it doesn’t matter whoever you might be,”Find authorized novels in , faster updates, better experience, Please click <a href=”#'s-mysterious-love._13271529106326605/physically-attached_52517363651758299″>#'s-mysterious-love._13271529106326605/physically-attached_52517363651758299</a> for visiting.
Listening to his affable words brewed her with indecision, and Li Na considerately looked up to meet his steady gaze. Lu Jianjun felt petrified by the vulnerable intensity in them as if saying she wanted to trust but can’t. They stayed silent for a while and as if her reluctance thronged and changed its vigor, Li Na took the risk and then quietly turned around.
Exerting a sigh of inaction, tentatively Lu Jianjun leaned forward. She felt his arms drew around her and she gently closed her eyes, a black piece of cloth covered her eyes. He tied it securely giving extensive attention that she won’t be able to take glances.
“Are you going to tie my hands as well?” she asked restlessly.
“Not needed if you stay obedient,” he replied while fastening his seatbelt and started the engine. “Only if your demands stay within the limits,” she mumbled and he glanced at her bemused.
Entranced in perpetual darkness, Li Na sensed the vehicle moving in the reverse direction before it took exact turns in averting directions they came. Fidgeting with her interlinked fingers, Li Na traced down the path with closed eyes as she routed the abstract map in her mind. Her concentration stirred only when the vehicle stopped after a ride of nearly half an hour of briskly driven.
Overhearing the car’s door open and closed, she squirmingly flapped her hand one in the space and reached for the door handles to step out. Exploring the essence of surrounding testily, her senses sprang in alertness, she closely hearkens the distant sounds.
There was a scattered graveling of stillness and some giggling of tree leaves. She was standing in an open space and the force of breeze indicated probably it is situated at some high altitude. Suddenly, the resemblance of the chilling aura and cold swooshes around her flared the memory of her that deadly night and her body tremble with horror to be at that very place the second time, Li Na felt scarily impulsive to remove the blindfold from her.
Just as she was about to raise her arm and turned to venture in directions, Lu Jianjun’s exhilarating voice captivated her awareness.
“I can see staying in the car wasn’t within your limits?” he said stonily there was an unexpected harshness in his voice. Blindfolded, she spun around in his direction and stood rooted.
“You’re been disobedient, Li Na!” he stated nonchalantly and her hands frozen by her sides, fist clenched as she regarded the rustling noise. She swore inwardly, that she won’t let him bind her hands.
“I did nothing, you’re just finding absurd reasons to…” she stopped in the middle as a strong hand clamped around her left wrist, revoltingly she jerked it back but the grip tightened forbidding its withdrawal. Her heart roared in frenzy panic.
Stunned, Li Na was to protest when he tugged her hand lightly and said, “Relax, I’m not tying them.” he said sedately.
But she still felt oddly reluctant by the hold as he spoke somberly, ” If you don’t want me to pick you up, it is much feasible to direct you than telling you to walk left and right, you might just bump into the walls and mislay the little bit of sense that is there in your airy-brain,” he said annoyed at the end.
He paused and took a few moments to let her calm down.
Li Na stopped struggling and her hands loosened its stiffness. There was a displeased frown etched on her forehead, but she didn’t opt to hamper the taken lead. It was better this way if they’re physically attached as she’ll be aware of his presence nearby and doesn’t have to be super alert all the time. And perhaps she can divert her focus better on the surroundings than being cautious all the while.
She nodded lightly as if too proud to consent through words. She let him escort as they began to walk. It was only after a couple of steps the tension in her body eased and she felt the powerful clasped on her wrist relieved. And then slowly his fingers traced down to encased the supple of her palm in a gently warm but secure hold.
In the cold-wintry milieu, she suddenly sensed the upsurge of fiery blood roaring to her face and her calmingly settling heartbeat began to race recklessly. His hold set reassuringly firm and it felt strangely hot beneath the skin yet his hold was graciously tender encircling that had seized her fragile hold.
All that she could concentrate on or think of right now was that gratifying feeling of her fingers confinement into his. It was so much so real that she has failed to recognize scant aspects of her existence as to deserted think rationally and distinguished whose feelings are these that she’s experiencing it so intimately linked to her heart.
Dry-mouth, Li Na gulped as her pace slowed down with dreadful trance. Memories were no longer distant as they came in her experience with a striking rush of intensity. Her hold around his fingers loosened suddenly as if she is unable to keep the unexpectedly hidden turmoil triggered by such a conventional action of holding hands. Her body went stiff and cold as the frozen night.
“Leave my hand,” she yelled scarcely.
Startled by the eruption, Lu Jianjun stopped and turned to look back at her. Her hand slipped away from him. “What now?” he asked irritated and paused when he noticed the tint of crimson color flared her cheeks and the refined lips pursed forlornly. Then he saw her rubbed her left palm against the fabric of cloth rigidly as if doing so will serve in getting rid of something gross of her. Anger rose in him and flashed in his gaze as he realizes she was doing so just because he held her hand.
