Queen Of Hearts Is The CEO’s, Mysterious Love. - Chapter 143
Warmly ensconced against the strength of his arms as if bounded by the chains of unpleasant time, Li Na felt like taking refugee in them, she seems to forget and took a badly needed break from everything, including the incurred sanity of right and wrong rationalities she held so dearly.
He only tightened his grasp around her and the strength startled her still she didn’t unhitch as there was an odd satisfaction and solace seems to empower. Probably, for this very powerful comfort, Little Tiger clings to Lu Jianjun whenever the boy found himself lost in a frenzy.
Sensing the strange turmoil settling down, Lu Jianjun held her securely, he could feel her shakingly riled nerves calming down gradually as she gave up the struggle. He could understand her condition of suffering but what is beyond his mind is his own reactions to her. Now his mind beginning to contemplate the foolish impulse he couldn’t control from embracing the irrational lady. What’s wrong with him?
And for the first time in her two lifetimes, the misplaced Li Na stood helplessly caged in an imposing embrace that belongs to someone she loves to hate and somehow, hates to love. She dreaded the later thought like a second death and woke up from manipulating the trance Lu Jianjun had impersonated on her finding her sentimentally vulnerable.
With the cruel reminder, Li Na pushed hard on the unyielding strength of his arms forcing the dejected Lu Jianjun to step back doubtedly. He had a seeking gaze as to why…but he refrained himself from questioning her.
“We need to go…” she mumbled insolently and cleared away the lingering tear prickling her eyes, “I need to talk to Guo Jie,”
“I know,” he replied lowly and urged to cover her eyes with a gesture, though reluctant Li Na ties it back before getting a glimpse of sight around her and found that she didn’t know the area thick-skulled by trees they were standing at a distance above.
Lu Jianjun didn’t say any more but turned around and in a frequent shift caught hold of her hand, she was to resist but then kept back. The rush of emotion got over and Li Na followed the lead blindly and silently. She sensed the change of ambiance around her after they had walked for few minutes as if stepping into the camouflage woods.
It was after a while she heard men lowly regard Lu Jianjun’s arrival. From a distant space there comes various dreadful noises like humans, machinery, and animal, grueling voices grew in intensity as they walked further.
Hearing the loud piercing screams of women as she walked, a loud wail coming from the sides wall resounded, which felt in a very close range reverberated in her ears, and blindfolded she flinched alarmingly.
“Relax, I’m not going to leave you here.” He probed and smiled the next when her alert face turned to somber and his finger in her clutch sought to be crushed aggressively.
“I dare you to leave me behind…” she modestly yelled at him keeping an ear over the surrounding people.
…..
It’s been three nights and two days, she hasn’t had a nap or rest of her eyes, other than blinking, and was constantly besieged with interrogatories to the point of mental and physical breakdown.
The vault was uncomfortably cold as if surrounded with ice, a pale woman with heavy dark circles around her swelled eyes whɨnėd lowly, she could hardly keep her eyes open neither could she close them.
With heavy burns on her scrapes, her head hung low seems to bȧrėly alive shuddering in cold, the red-hot blotches were left open to prickling in freezing flame, tied with electric metal straps which invariably flow with moderate currents that pricked painstakingly whenever she began to shut the eyes leaving her teetering on the edge of unconsciousness.
Her body shudders involuntarily in fear with the opening of the heavy metal door of the vault. Erecting her spine by a wind blowing over-serve burns inside and outside the body. She began to pant scarily it turned to sob. And she struggled through torture, as she tried to focus her eyes on the frame standing before her.
And the moment she recognized the person, her entire being jolted with excoriating pain, weepy-swollen red eyes dilating with cowering in fear.
“Things haven’t even started yet and you’re fretting before that…” Lu Jianjun’s cold voice thundered in a mocking stature. “You’re yet to be thrown out of the frying pan and into the fire.” her body trembled violently.
Guo Jie’s eyes widened when she saw the girl stepping behind him. Lu Jianjun took the blindfold off only before he had brought her to this vault. Adjusting her eyes to the bright room, Li Na blinked softly. The vault was operated such that only Guo Jie’s side was torturously cold whereas the area they stood was altered normally but Li Na could feel the cold heat from her sides.
“Y=Y-You!?” Guo Jie stammers shockingly, her voice hoarsely dry and meek, “You d-did all this…”
Li Na’s presence now completely woke her in shock and pain. She spitefully glared at Li Na as if deceived and backstabbed by the girl.
“Doesn’t matter…you deserve every bit of this,” Li Na replied sedately, stepping near the shackled woman and stopped while keeping a safe distance between them as she detected the woman was stinking and burned foully.
At the foulness of smell, Li Na’s expressions twisted sickeningly. The nasty response sufficed to arouse Guo Jie and made sourness spread over her. She is suffering just because of her and now the girl came to ridicule her, Guo Jie’s fingers curled as she thought maliciously.
“Then for what have you come here? To watch me burn to death.” Guo Jie yelled at Li Na with all her might as she was left shivering with cold and hate.
“You never learn…do you?” Li Na tsked, feeling pity for the woman. The malice woman began to curse her which only amused the Li Na as Lu Jianjun had his sharps eyes on her taking mental notes of all.
As Li Na regarded her with a curiously hostile gaze, somehow Guo Jie’s unpleasant condition reminded her of the disturbing certainty of their brutal world that she could not pity even brittle woman. Guo Jie was given chances, to live, but she came back to choose the corrupt ways of living. Once tainted, nobody could step back, not even the honest ones who deliver justice to their kind.
Li Na let out of sigh, and asked Guo Jie mildly,” I want to know for whom do you work?”
Seeing that she was refusing to speak, Li Na saw Lu Jianjun took a few steps towards the insulated cooling units along the machinery connected to her Guo Jie’s chair. With a few buŧŧon presses, he turned to look at the woman, “Ahhh,” she screeched, her wail echoed painfully. She thought it will be stopped after the burning like before, but Lu Jianjun showed no sign of stopping it. It continues to blaze the already burned skin until she begged profusely for him to stop.
As if he had turned deaf to her wails, the man seems unyieldingly unmovable while watching the tortured woman withering in pain, Li Na looked at him startled, she saw if it continued he might just burn her alive here. Then, Li Na haste towards the setup, it was only then Lu Jianjun snapped out of his rapture of view and looked at her.
When their eyes meet she felt herself gulp with uncertainty. He was furious and it was scrawled all across his features and then he spoke warningly if he was regarding the susceptibility in Li Na.Find authorized novels in , faster updates, better experience, Please click <a href=”#'s-mysterious-love._13271529106326605/i'll-tell-you-everything_52735359011838103″>#'s-mysterious-love._13271529106326605/i'll-tell-you-everything_52735359011838103</a> for visiting.
“She’s not human, consequently, does not require sympathy. Ill minds need to be trained harder, otherwise, they won’t be cured of their illness.” his tone dreading her not to show any kind of mercy and she steps back silently.
Her painful screams echoed the room and satisfy his ears. He stopped leaving her on the edge of collapse and when he commanded not a single cell protested in her heated frame to defy his words.
After making sure Guo Jie won’t be in a condition to misbehave or utter unnecessary words, Lu Jianjun then steps back and turned to mumble Li Na to finish her talk within the time he returns and he strode out of the vault.
This while Li Na inquired from the beginning, walking to the machine. She asked,” How do you know me? Where and How have we first met?” as she lowered the temperature just so Guo Jie could speak painlessly with cool relief on her burns.
With agonizing pain and labored breathing, Guo Jie replied without a delay dreading the consequence of it, ” W-Wang Jing…” she whispered referring her answers to be brief.
“What about Wang Jing?”
“I-I’ll tell you everything from the start…” Guo Jie then took a sharp breath.
