This attempt of hers is futile, damn she knew that all too well. Her feet brought her here, and since she’s already here, doing something outrageous as confessing won’t really cause her a loss. She already imagined his look when he throws her out the door… so why, why is this words that she didn’t mean at all and did out of impulse feels like it touched his very soul?
Rembrandt, why the fuċk are you so hard to read.
“Creak.” The clamor caused by the door made his eyes regained it’s focus. It was fast, he instantly looked away. His jaw clenched as his head moved towards the direction of the noise.
There, they saw Lu Wen. She only wore a simple dress, however, her bearing was enough to make one’s eyes to be unable to stray away from her. As she walks slowly towards them, her full lips dons a pure small smile.
Ingrid’s pupil turned to slits. The way Lu Wen handles herself with tranquility yet her eyes pooled with an intense pŀėȧsurė, made her remember a certain two faced bitch who killed her with a single stab in the ċhėst.
Ignoring her, Rembrandt starts to approach Lu Wen. She can now only see his back, full of chiseled lines that his suit wasn’t able to hide.
A storm appeared in Ingrid’s heart.
Ever since she transmigrated here, she only saw them together in Dana’s memories. She never had the chance to do so with her own eyes. And every time, she doesn’t feel a single thing, it was just like watching strangers being intimate to each other. That’s all, nothing else.
It wasn’t that long when her curiosity got piqued, and would wish to see what their true relationship looks like. But now, her fast beating heart is threatening to jump out of her ċhėst.
To see Rembrandt and Lu Wen together in a single picture, for some reason, made her feel damn vexed.
Unknowingly, she reaches out her hand and took a hold of Rembrandt’s arm. However she retracted it right away after seeing his eyes which was as still as a lake, and devoid of any emotion.
His lips moved and let out a ruthless word while possessing that annoying eyes. “Behave.”
She doesn’t know if whose heart broke at that moment. Was it Dana or hers?
She’s still hung up with her ex, this, she can’t oppose. And now, although hard to admit, she’s seeing her ex at Rembrandt. Her anger for him was bone deep, but she can’t deny that it was because her love for him was also wholeheartedly real. So, seeing Rembrandt together with someone else–who for some reason also reminded her of a certain bitch was akin to seeing her ex betray her for the second time around.
Ingrid’s gaze landed on the two’s figure. In her eyes, someone’s face starts to overlap with that of Rembrandt’s.
She can’t really take this anymore. If she tries to stay here any longer, she bet she might do something she will definitely regret.
With a heavy step, she started to march towards the two. She placed herself in between them, then started to separate them with her palms. She thought Rembrandt wouldn’t budge, but he just let himself be pushed away by her dainty arms. Lu Wen almost lost her balance but was caught immediately by that someone’s strong arm.
Then she proceeded with her chin held high.
“Dana.” Rembrandt said in a warning tone. She ignored him and let out a “hmp” then evacuated the suffocating room promptly. As she leaves in haste she didn’t see how Rembrandt’s eyes darkened with unknown thoughts. His arm which steadily holds Lu Wen withdraws immediately, which made Lu Wen to almost fall into the floor.
“Fuck this” Ingrid angrily stomped her foot down the floor.
Fuck fate, fuċk mission, fuċk everything.
She gritted her teeth, hard.
She’s mad. She’s mad how she unfairly died in the hands of a weak woman. She’s mad how her loving boyfriend cheated on her. She’s mad how the system sent her to world with a male lead who reminds her a lot of him.
Fuck, Rembrandt is not him!
Ingrid was craving for a hard liquor. She doesn’t care if the body she’s occupying is only 17, anyone who dares to stop her will receive her full blown wrath.
