Quick Transmigration: Her Seduction Games - Chapter 35
Ingrid remained on the road for about an hour until she reached her home. After turning on the lights and opening the binds that covers her windows, she fished out her ŀȧptop resting at the corner of her bed.
The level of technology in this world and her past’s is almost the same. Ingrid doesn’t have any god-level hacking skills but she can at least know how to pick a person’s personal information on the world’s information highway. Now that she knew who her targets were, it’s time to get on work.
Ingrid’s porcelain bony fingers danced in the rhythm of Nikolai’s Flight of the Bumblebee. It was fast, and breathtaking to look at. Not long after, information about Sera Madrid appeared one after another.
Not everything on the internet was a fact, this, she knew. However, a little bit more of information about this world’s main leads won’t bring any harm to her.
Sera Madrid, age 25. Born from the family of military lineage. Her grandfather, Leonardo Madrid was once awarded the Medal of Honor for its meritorious service for the country – which made the Madrid’s influence and popularity reached a new height.
Despite having such an amazing background, Sera didn’t rely on this to advance on her career. Just like her grandfather, multiple recognition was attached on their names. She was only at her early twenties yet she was able to lead multiple operations that aims to arrest criminals that deals with illegal drugs successfully.
Ingrid once heard the police officers always had their foot buried on their own graves. Their job was that dangerous, that Ingrid wouldn’t be surprised if she ever received death threats given the amount of big personalities that she offended because of her decisiveness.
Other than that, with her meager amount of experience in information gathering, she can’t find more things about Sera. She couldn’t even find any of Sera’s social media accounts. It’s either she used another name, or had none at all.
Ingrid wanted to dig deeper than she ever before, however her ŀȧptop stated to lag. Ingrid knew that this was a bad omen, that someone tried to hack into her system after she stepped on a landmine.
“Shit.”
This is the first time that someone counter-hacked her, she wasn’t fazed by the attack, however, she doesn’t know what to do in that situation. Cold sweat started seep out on her forehead, her fingers started to redden by how frequent it touched the keys. And finally after few minutes that seemed like an hour, she was able to wade off the intruder.
She’s lucky that she originally just tapping the surface, and only that once did she attempted to test her limits, or else, she’s fuċkėd up.
“Hooo.” She stood up, walked towards the fridge to get some cold water to calm herself and to trap some heat in her cold body.
Then her phone rang.
After knowing who the caller is, a small smile appeared on Ingrid’s pale lips. She had a good impression of this sweet woman.
“Yes mom? How are you?” Ingrid greeted in a warm tone.
“I’m fine hun, there is no need to worry about me.”
“It’s me who should ask if I was disturbing you?”
Ingrid took a peek of the time on her mobile phone. It’s still 3:45 PM that’s why her mom was worried if she ever disturbed her in her working hours.
“Don’t worry mom, it’s my rest day.”
“Oh, that’s good to hear.” Ingrid can sense how bright the mood of Clauen’s mom feeling right now. To call at this hour, her mom was probably up to something good.
“Just this morning, do you have any idea who called to check on your mom’s situation?” To make such a big deal out of a simple call, Ingrid can’t really think of one.
“No?”
“Just as I thought.” A series of soft laugh was sent over from the side of the caller. “It’s actually your brother hun, finally, he contacted us.”
“Brother?” —but based on Clauen’s memories, she doesn’t remember having one?
