Quick Transmigration: Her Seduction Games - Chapter 8
Currently in Rembrandt’s own study inside the mansion, there went an ongoing heated discussion.
Dana’s mother, Adrazelle Leviste-Ambrose, finally can’t retain her calm demeanor. She stood out from her seat then exclaimed, “How can you allow her to go in there!” Her husband, Lucian Ambrose didn’t let out a hint of calming his wife down. As he too, abhors the idea.
Rembrandt always had a soft heart for Dana. And for her to undergo such extremities just to obtain his permission, he doesn’t have the heart to decline.
Rembrandt kept his silence.
Adrazelle closed her eyes, after remembering something unpleasant in her memories, her tears started to fall. With a quivering voice and a calming rub on the shoulder from her husband, she continued to display her disagreement.
“If it’s somewhere else, I can compromise her safety. However, of all places, why there?! I can’t risk the possibility of—of…” Andrazelle can’t keep it any longer, she’s starting to sob out of grief.
Rembrandt admit that this was his mistake. A stupid one at that. He failed to inquire the destination of their trip, resulting to the current’s scenario that was more problematic than expected. He guiltily acknowledge that he wasn’t able to think straight when he gave Dana his permission.
After a while, Andrazelle was back to her calm self. “I will only allow this if you join her.” She said while letting out an air that won’t accept a rejection.
Unfortunately, this was his fault, therefore, he had to take responsibility whether he like it or not.
He had an eye contact with his father before he let out a nod. “Don’t worry, I will.”
Ingrid will never know that her doom was near. She just transmigrated yet the male lead was already planning to propose to the female lead. In spite of this, the heavens was still fair, as this coincidences brought by her haste decisions coincides in her favor.
—
Ingrid had no idea about Rembrandt’s intention to get engaged. You can’t really blame the man to do it this in such a rush. He was already 28, and the woman he loved for 18 years was already in his embrace. The strange thing would be if he had no plans to get married after considering all of this.
The not yet pressured Ingrid was calmly sitting inside a café. She was drinking her favorite americano coffee when she felt that someone approached her from behind. Of course she wouldn’t know who might that be until that person took a seat in front of her.
“I never thought that you can stomach that kind of flavor.” Ingrid was surprised to see that it was actually Lu Wen who came to her.
No, Lu Wen’s presence was not that important. It’s her greeting words that rang an alarm in Ingrid’s mind.
Oh shit. Ingrid didn’t expected to meet an acquaintance in here, hence, giving her the freedom to order her own favorite cup.
To quell Lu Wen’s suspicion of her identity, if there were one, Ingrid started immersing herself to her role. Knowing that Dana’s attitude towards Lu Wen was evidently harsh, she responds by saying that she should just mind her own business.
Lu Wen just shrugged off the attitude of the feisty little girl in front of her. She was born with a high stature that even though they were sitting, her eyes still can’t help but look down on Ingrid. Which made the other person annoyed for some reason.
“When I saw you here, I knew right away that you’ve changed, you’ve gotten mȧturė,” Ingrid’s left eyebrow can’t help but rise. “…your eyes that is.”
Lu Wen took a sip from the cup of coffee she was holding. Their gaze locked for a long time before they looked away at the same moment.
Ingrid really felt annoyed, not from their height difference, nor the fact that she was Rembrandt’s lover—how can that be possible, she’s Ingrid not Dana, but for some unknown reason that she can’t comprehend.
Thus, for her not to get ooc that much, she just kept her silence when in fact, she just wants to leave and throw this woman’s existence into the back of her mind.
And Lu Wen sensed this. She smiled. Her beautiful peaceful face brightened even more. “Really.” She laughed and their eyes met again. “Then I should stop treating you like a little girl, but a proper rival right?”
Ingrid’s eyebrows jumped in surprise. “You knew?”
“Whose girlfriend that wouldn’t notice?” Lu Wen’s lips might be smiling but her eyes didn’t. She really consider the girl in front of her as a rival. She knew that her relationship with Rembrandt’s stayed strong after so many years and her trust in him was also immense. But the threat brought by Dana in their relationship was no small matter. She can’t let her guard down and warrant her to torn apart her world.
Ingrid discerned that Lu Wen was really taking her seriously, but she didn’t know and really curious to know ‘why’?
