Quick Transmigration: Sorry, I Never Loved You - Chapter 235
“Qiqi, do you really have to go in alone?” Tang Yizhou pouted as he complained and latched himself onto Xu Jiaqi, encircling her body with his arms.
“Yes, I want to be alone. Why, are you not happy with that?”
“Of course I’m not.. Haa, you even refused any sort of supervision for those rotten prisoners. What if they go rabid like mad dogs and leave a wound on you? I would..” Tang Yizhou wanted to continue with his sentence, but stopped since it would be too grim for Xu Jiaqi to take in.
“Shush. I will just be paying them a little visit. I’ll be back soon, so stay here and wait for me. Capische?” Xu Jiaqi nudged on Tang Yizhou’s abdomen with her elbow, telling him to back off.
Tang Yizhou reluctantly released his grip and sighed. He walked by her side and soon arrived before the isolated cell that was the Zhao family’s current residence. A strange stench emanated from inside the cell, but Xu Jiaqi wasn’t bothered by it at all. Instead she smiled as if she was a little child about to go on a thrilling ride in an amusement park.
Compared to her, Tang Yizhou’s face was much more grim looking.
“Take care. If anything happens, do note that they won’t ever get another chance to see the light of day. I will place them in eternal damnation.” Tang Yizhou narrowed his eyes. This was his way of telling both the Zhao family to stay put and know their position and also for Xu Jiaqi to not get in harm’s way.
“Yes, yes. Now let me go in. You’re still holding onto my hand. Don’t tell me, you want to cut your hand off and let it accompany me inside?”
“Can I do that?” Tang Yizhou asked innocently, as if the thing he was proposing wasn’t strange at all.
“..No, silly.” Xu Jiaqi peeled his grip away from her limb and rolled her eyes. “Bye bye, Yizhou.”
“..En.” Tang Yizhou nodded, and the prison guard who had to watch the couple’s overbearing way of displaying affection awkwardly opened the door to let Xu Jiaqi in the cell.
To tell the truth, Tang Yizhou’s worries were came out of nowhere. From where Xu Jiaqi stood, she could see the Zhao family being restrained heavily. Their hands were cuffed behind their back, and their legs had a chain locking the pair together, along with a rather heavy weight that made sure they wouldn’t be able to do anything silly.
Tang Yizhou should be the one to know this arrangement the best, since he was the very man who ordered this treatment. It was going a bit overboard, considering the fact that there was already a clear barrier separating the two parties. Allowing Xu Jiaqi to see the Zhao family with clarity, and them not being able to escape their positions.
The Zhao family’s expressions were not anything great. They had a permanent scowl on their faces, and it was evident that they all loathed Xu Jiaqi.
However, exactly what did the original Xu Jiaqi do to them? They were the ones who started it. The ones who got consumed by human emotions and decided to try and ruin a happy family’s life.
If you are unhappy, does that mean another happy individual was at fault for that? So much so that they had to pay a grim price just so you could attain your own happiness? The original Xu family was amiable to this rotten family. They never acted arrogantly even after they reached the peak of stardom, with so many people acknowledging their talents and respecting them. They never let fame and wealth get to their heads. They helped many people, donated to good causes, and never committed any crimes.
The Xu family was completely innocent.
And yet, the Zhao couple decided to plot against them. Their daughter, Zhao Xinran had a God complex and thought that everything good in the world must belong to her. A vixen that had too many rotten schemes going inside her head. There was no salvation for her.
“How are you guys? Did you adjust to the prison life yet?” Xu Jiaqi put on a pair of white gloves, dragging a chair over to the cell’s front. In her hands was a remote control for the cell’s mechanism. It had a red button on it. Upon being pressed, an array of steel bars would fall from the top, and the transparent screen that kept them locked in would be replaced.
This way. Xu Jiaqi would have the means to interact with them physically. With a devious smile, she pressed the button and watched as the screens were retracted back into the walls, and the bars falling down, effectively sealing them.
Xu Jiaqi knew that they weren’t able to move a lot, so she didn’t hold back and directly yanked the Zhao father’s head through the spaces between the bars.
Her eyes were as cold as ice as she stared down the man like he was pure garbage that needed to be thrown out right away.
“This slap is for my father, who treated you like a good friend. You betrayed him, broke his trust, and couldn’t stop your filthy heart from controlling your mind. You’re the one who deserved to die in that accident you orchestrated, not my parents.”
Pa!
The slapping sound was so loud that Xu Jiaqi was sure the men standing behind the cell door would hear everything she was doing. However, she didn’t pay any heed to do that since she knew that Tang Yizhou would help her settle everything if she did get questioned.
“This one is for my mother, who ended up in a tragic death just because you couldn’t bear to hide your hatred and had to take innocent lives. She never did anything to you, she treated you well every time you came to mingle with us, and yet you still killed her.”
Pa!
Another slap landed on his exhausted face.
“P-please..” Zhao Dinghao cried out for help.
“This one is from me, who you managed to instill a trauma into. Who you wronged for so many years. Deceived the masses for benefits.” Without sparing him, she continued to land another crisp slap.
And another one.
“This one is for…”
Pa!
“This one…”
One by one, Xu Jiaqi made sure to deliver an equal amount of slaps to each Zhao family member, making sure that they understood what they had done in order to suffer such humiliation and degradation.
“Isn’t it great? Your current situation suits you much better.” Xu Jiaqi shook her hands as they were getting tired as well after delivering so many hard slaps.
“Do you guys have any ideas on what else I could slap you guys for? My hands are starting to get tired, but I don’t mind doing this. Your face is a little bit too dirty and hard though. Not at all comfortable to hit.” Xu Jiaqi sighed.
“You- you whore! Slut! You were only able to do this because you seduced that Tang Yizhou! If I got the chance to meet him just like you did, I’m sure that th-”
Pa!
Zhao Xinran’s words were cut off by another slap from Xu Jiaqi.
“Oh, please. Attention on the word ‘if’. In the end, the one Tang Yizhou needs is me. Even if you met him, I doubt that you would’ve made it with him. The reason he’s with me.. Even I can’t explain it. It’s not something superficial like you and Song Ziyi.” Xu Jiaqi clicked her tongue.
“That slap is for being annoying. You are at my mercy, so you should’ve known better, don’t you think? Instead of openly trying to insult and degrade me, keep it in your heart and shut up.” Xu Jiaqi said. “You’ve lost. There’s no point in struggling anymore. It’s checkmate, you can’t make any moves from where you are. This place is where you will be staying in for the rest of you life.”
Xu Jiaqi toyed with the three some more before finally deciding that enough was enough. She was getting tired as well, and her hands were starting to ache. It was time to retire, at least for today’s portion.
“..And that concludes my visit. Adios, everyone!” Xu Jiaqi’s smile was as bright as a ray of sunlight during summer. She waved goodbye to the exasperated, scared shitless Zhao family before exiting the room with jumpy steps, taking off her gloves and throwing it into the trash can.
“Truly disgusting.” She poured some sanitizer onto her palm, cleaning herself as she felt like a huge ton of filth just attached themselves onto her during that visit.
She headed back towards Tang Yizhou’s side, humming a happy and satisfied tune over what she had done.
Come to think of it, her original intention was to try and trigger a side quest, but nothing appeared.
Oh well.. She got her dose of revenge anyway.
