Quick Transmigration: Sorry, I Never Loved You - Chapter 240
It was a story that she never thought she would see. It was completely out of her expectations, as non of these scenes existed inside her head prior to this encounter.
Scenes starting flashing inside of her mind in an uncontrollable pace. Waves after waves of information attacking her from every single side. And after the transfer ended, Xu Jiaqi entered the body of another person. Someone with the same appearance as her.
No. This time, it wasn’t just the appearance. She recognized this body. She was familiar with it. Because.. She was her?
Xu Jiaqi’s head hurt even more when she tried to think of it. It made her sick. Her stomach churning nonstop.
Where was she? She opened her eyes to a beautiful sight. A lily garden. The pleasant scent of flowers wafted around, calming whoever stepped inside the region.
She was sitting on top of a hill. Beside her was a man. He looked like he had albinism, but not only his skin and hair, his eyes were also white. Devoid of life from head to toe. Such a man was sitting beside her, looking at her with a kind expression that seemed to ask ‘what are you thinking of?’.
Xu Jiaqi fell into silence as she didn’t know what this entire ordeal was. Where she’s located at. Why she’s here of all places. This was her memories. But.. must she accept them? Every single time she thought there was a hint to her past, she had to face extreme pain. It made her reluctant to continue. What if more pain.. is going to come at her? It was detestable.
She became fed up.
She looked over to the man, who was gazing at the starry night sky with gleaming eyes.
She suddenly recalled. This was the beginning of everything. To be exact, after she had been created, this man.. built the world along with her. He was the Creator. She was the first soul that he had manifested. They painstakingly worked hard to create the world side by side, pouring in their ideas and painting the world according to their plans. Now, they were enjoying the beautiful results and immersing themselves in their creation.
This was it. She was starting to remember. She really was a Goddess. Just not now. In the past. She was one of the founders of this world.
Only, she couldn’t recall her name just yet. Her true name. She wasn’t Xu Jiaqi, she was someone else. It was a strange thought to behold.
The man beside her was in a trance as he gazed at the sky filled with stars.
Suddenly, she felt a strange pull happen to her. She talked without her desiring to say the words. It was as if the memories were starting to play itself.
“Hmm.. I just thought of another meaning for Sol’s name,” Xu Jiaqi mumbled, poking the Creator’s arm to get his attention.
“And what would that be?” Turning his head to face the Goddess, the Creator tilted his head.
“You’re like the Sun. The universe’s Sun. And I will be the Moon!”
The Goddess’ excitement was contagious.
All her emotions were always contagious and never did successfully escape when this bundle of emotions use her ability to her advantage.
She was born to be that way. The Goddess of Life and Creation. She was the only one that the Creator treasured with his whole heart. His first partner. The only one who truly received his blessing. Not any of the other creation had ever received the same blessings.
“Did you know that the Sun and the Moon can’t stay in the same sky at the same time?” The Creator chuckled, knowing that the Goddess must’ve forgotten about it. “Do you not want me to stay with you anymore? Is that what you’re implying?”
“Uh… Then, we can just make the Sun and the Moon exist at the same time..?”
“That wouldn’t work. We created their positioning so that they would never appear at the same time, right?” He reminded. “It’s our own idea. Are you going to go back on it? We created the solar system after spending so much time and effort, if we screw the balance over right now, there’s gonna be a lot of fixing needed here and there.”
“..Still! We are friends because we both, uh, exist in the sky..? Something like that. Anyway, it’s a good thing, so don’t question me any further! I am ending this discussion!”
“Whatever you like..” He sighed.
He knew that he could never win against the Goddess, who he had a soft spot for.
Another day passed, and they continued on with their usual tasks.
She came back to the lily garden to sit with him.
It was his favorite place, and every time she wanted to look for him, there was a ninety percent chance that he was there. She glanced at the vast and endless space. This place was also one of her favorites, although she liked her castle more.
Although she was happy staying with the him, there were certainly sentiments that pushed her to want something more.
A whole new world filled with not just them, but tons of others that would scatter inside the realm and create so many scenarios and chains of actions by themselves.
It was a waste. They had created this vast realm, but there was nobody else to enjoy it with them. If only..
If only she could create more life. Not just animals, plants, or anything like that. Life in other forms.
She didn’t know how to voice her thoughts. She worried that what she says would make the Creator unhappy.
Because ultimately, the decision laid within the Creator’s hands. In terms of freedom and small decisions, the Creator left everything to her, but he was a responsible Ruler who knew what was right and wrong.
If her wishes got too far, he wouldn’t acknowledge it. She wondered if she was going out of bounds with her wish.
However, her desire still overcame her fears and made her utter a few sentences on the matter.
“Say, why is there no one else? Except for us two.. When the universe is this vast?” She controlled her emotions carefully as she scrutinized the Creator’s expressions, wanting to detect his reaction.
If he responded negatively, she would back out in a flash. She would snap her finger, disappear into who-knows-where, and lose the Creator until who-knows-when. It was as simple as that. She wouldn’t take any other outcome. She won’t be able to.
She was ready. Her middle finger and thumb were stuck together, waiting for her to make a finger snap that would act as a cue to propel her away from this lily garden.
Contrary to her fears, in response, the Creator only hummed.
“Why, you don’t like me anymore? You want other people to entertain you?” The Creator stared into her eyes, making the Goddess’ cheeks redden from feeling flustered.
“Not like that! I just had a thought.. Wouldn’t it be great if we could give life to many more entities? I feel like we should do that. We have the power to do it, but we are holding ourselves back. The world is ready.. no?” She pondered with a finger pressed against her plump lips.
They had been going around creating the world and making it flourish, but they hadn’t made the denizens that would populate the space.
“..That is true, but can you handle it?” The Creator tried to look at the matter from the peripheral stages.
The world would still be intact even if life was created, but it needed a concrete core that could hold everything together.
“I believes that the two of us can do it,” Her eyes were clear and pristine, without a single speck of negative intentions.
In face of such an approach, there were little things that the Creator could do.
“..Well, it’s not like we can’t. In fact, I was thinking of making another world separate from this space. If we experiment here and there, wouldn’t we eventually succeed in creating the perfect world?” He theorized.
She grew excited as her eyes sparkled with delight, wanting to hear more.
“Then, let’s make it together!” I proposed happily.
“Not that simple. We’re talking about an entirely separate realm here.. We can’t just let everything roam around as they please, and we can’t exactly create things the same way we did before,” The Creator stopped her before anything bad could happen. “Remember, we are going to be playing with not just one or two lives. We are playing with an entire world. It’s our duty to make sure everything goes right,”
“Also.. Their souls can be very fickle. They aren’t like you. Their thoughts, their decision making skills.. Unlike you, who is the purest form of life, they might not be the same.”
“I understand that perfectly! We were granted with the power.. So we should use it for good reasons! I promise that she won’t do anything bad,” She stated with glee.
The Creator heaved a sigh of relief. She was simple-minded, but she was also someone who kept her words.. Since she promised, then she wouldn’t dare break it.
