QuickBae - Chapter 11

It was a calm evening in Sterling City and word had reached Team QuickBae about a crime happening in Starlight museum {a famous museum in Sterling City}. The Intel Team QuickBae got, described that the crime was being committed by a couple; a man who has super strength plus the ability of moving inanimate objects and his wife who has super speed. According to the Intel, this couple was on their honeymoon at an amusement park in Sterling city the night the Mercury Oven exploded. When the wave hit both of them, the man suċkėd in a lot of immense energy on his fore limbs which built up his biceps and triceps and also increased his strength durability. The wave also sharpened his brain muscles allowing him move thing with his mind while his wife who were on roller skates, had her legs fused to the skates by the wave’s immense energy. Not just that, using her skates, she can now move fast at super speed because of the skates normal speed. Having gone through this Intel, Team QuickBae dispatched a group of heroes to go stop the criminals. Le Vibe, Killer Freeze and Kid Bae immediately arrived at the museum. The three then decided to split up in order for them to corner the couple. As Killer Freeze reached a certain room in the museum, she spotted the woman with roller skates trying to steal an ancient artifact;

Killer Freeze: You do know that is considered stealing, right?!

The woman: (noticing Killer Freeze) And so what if it is….I am still taking this artifact

Killer Freeze: Then I will just have to stop you

The woman: You will have to catch me first!

The woman on skates; was about dashing out of the room at super speed when Killer Freeze instantly iced the floor, making it slippery for her. She then fell down, dropping the artifact and was immediately frozen by Killer Freeze;

Killer Freeze: (Talking to the frozen woman as she was returning the artifact) that was easy!

Meanwhile, Le Vibe had encountered the woman’s husband in another room trying also to steal a priceless ancient artifact as well;

Le Vibe: Stop stealing that artifact!

The Man: (looking at Le Vibe) and if I refuse?

The Man: (smirking) don’t make me laugh

The Man then started raising objects from the room using his mind and lunched them all at Le Vibe but Le Vibe opened a portal, where all the launched objects passed through and came out from another portal behind the Man {hitting him}. But all the hits didn’t really affect the man much because of his super strength and rigid body. Suddenly, the man’s hands started glowing and a RHINOCERUS statue started moving towards Le Vibe. It was about to hit him when Kid Bae sped into the room and used a Spark burst to destroy the statue. Kid Bae then ran to the Man’s back and knocked him out instantly;

Le Vibe: Thanks Kid Bae, I knew he could move objects but I didn’t expect him to be able to move something as big as that. It almost felt like it was Alive

Kid Bae: (Tying up the man) No problem. And that statue wasn’t alive. This man is a strong Human Dynamo that’s why he was able to make the RHINOCERUS statue move in the manner it did….like, almost alive

Killer Freeze then came into the room dragging the frozen woman with her abilities;

Killer Freeze: Good, you guys have defeated the man as well. Now let’s head back to base and while we are at it, we will have Joey detain them

Le Vibe: No arguments there!

The three then headed to the Police department and handed over the Human Dynamos to Captain Joey East who detained them in a new special cell authorized only to police officials. After that, they went back to base;

Dr Smart: Another mission successful!

Tee Kay: {Who has also changed out of his Kid Bae suit} I highly doubt that. I am sure that there are still more Human Dynamos out there

Presh: {now out of Killer Freeze mode and in her normal lab coat} well if they are still out there, then we will capture them just like how we captured all the others. It is a good thing that the government made more cells to restrain Human Dynamos, seeing as the old ones have been filled up

Dr Smart: The three of you have come a long way in the past years. I still remember when we recruited Tee Kay to be a speedster hero of this city, it feels just like yesterday. Also, you all have now mastered your abilities quite exceptionally ever since I have been training you guys

Ali: (Looking sad) It also feels like yesterday since we last saw Kayleb. Ever since we found out that Kayleb is still alive after his encounter with Alternate, we have been searching for him all to no avail. Aeres has also been helping us with any Intel she got from the police department seeing as she is now the head of the ICT and Intel unit; which is also the reason why she is no longer punctual in Smart’s lab. We hardly even see Joey now at days as he was later promoted to Captain and is always being sent on missions. SuperKid on the other hand has been very busy with Stanbic city. To sum up everything, we can’t still find Kayleb till today and it’s been two and a half years

Tee Kay: I have never met Kayleb face to face but the story you guys have told me about him and what I saw on the news back then in my hometown makes me want to look for him even more and bring him back

Presh: Do you guys think he later died?

Dr Smart: Of course not….because if he did, Tee Kay and I would have lost our speed. My guess is, he is still out there somewhere

Just then, Dr Smart and Tee Kay suddenly felt weak and both of them ġrȯȧnėd;

Ali: What’s wrong with you guys?

Tee Kay: Yes I did

Presh: What is it?

Dr Smart: Well recently, I have been feeling drawn to a familiar energy source

Tee Kay: It feels as if we are both being attracted to a source of speed even much stronger than ours….yet, very familiar!

Ali: You don’t say!

Presh: Hmm, I think what you are both attracted to is Kayleb’s speed energy

Dr Smart: Yeah I thought as much too….but I can’t seem to pinpoint precisely where this source of energy is coming from. Can you, Tee Kay?

Tee Kay: No, neither can I

Ali: If it is Kayleb’s speed you are attracted to, I think I can help with my Sensory abilities. I can feel the Vibrational waves you both are emitting the next time you feel attracted to this energy and trace the precise location of where it’s coming from. Although since Kayleb is clearly not in a nearby distance if not, we would have found him by now, I need something to boost by sensory skill so that I can cover a wide range

Ali: Then it is settled. We will trace where this energy you both are attracted too is coming from and hopefully, it would be Kayleb’s

Dr Smart: Let me go get the machine

Dr Smart then left the room and after a while, he came back with the machine. He called it the vision booster. It was just like a helmet but with a lot of wires attached to it and a small screen to display things. Ali wore the helmet looking machine to enhance his sensory perception. Shortly after, both Dr Smart and Tee Kay were being drawn to that energy again. Immediately, the machine turned on automatically as Ali started feeling the vibrational waves attracting both Dr Smart and Tee Kay; and Sensing where the energy was coming from. It took Ali a while and he was almost about to figure out the location of that energy when he removed the machine and started breathing shakily;

Dr Smart: Ali, are you okay?

Ali: (Still breathing heavily) I am fine, let’s keep going

Dr Smart: If it is too much for you to handle, we can stop. We will find another way

Ali: No Dr Smart, we are doing this. After all this time, this might be our only chance of finally finding Kayleb. So we are doing this!

Ali then put on the helmet again and Dr Smart with Tee Kay started feeling the energy yet again but this time, stronger. Ali immediately continued sensing where the energy was coming from and finally, in a land {a military zone} very far away from sterling city, stood an enslaved man with indigo colored eyes and fair skin. It was Kayleb, Ali had found him. Ali then looked around that territory to pick up more clues as to where Kayleb’s location is.. After doing that, Ali removed the machine and started saying in excitement “I have found him, I have found Kayleb” and then, he passed out.
