Raga of the Dry Branch - Chapter 1
1: I thought it was a dream (1)
A dream.
A huge screen floating in the air ahead like a movie theatre. In that dream, I saw a total of five short films.
The title of the first movie passed by quickly.
1. Heliciad
Was she 6 years old? The protagonist?
She was an incredibly cute girl with the flashiest pink hair. In particular, her plump cheeks and wave green eyes were the most lovely.
The protagonist, the child, yawned and waved her hand in the air. And something strange happened. The books in the bookshelf began to dance in the air.
It looked like magic. Not, it wasn’t that, this was real magic.
As the protagonist opened her mouth to explain something, the kids around were taking notes.
What school is this?
Looking at the background of the movie, it looked like a tower or a university research lab.
I lay down hoping for my world to end, so why am I dreaming like this?
I had a sudden thought that I was being forced to watch this.
As I stared blankly at the scene in front, the child suddenly turned her head in my direction as if her eyes were on me, but maybe it was just my imagination. But then the child’s eyes widened as if they had actually met mine.
Her pink hair, which was like two bulbs on either side, shook.
The child then looked up at the ceiling with joy. And then raised her fist high making a strange noise.
“Indeed, you didn’t lose to me like this either!”
The wide-eyed child suddenly approached me, making me flinch.
Is this a movie? Can she see me?
The child looked up at me, and then smiled and immediately left her place and started running down the stairs.
The children around her panicked and followed after her.
“Where are you going, Miss Heliciad?!?”
As she called her name, the screen went black and another movie started.
2. Faysion
The protagonist of the second movie was a beautiful woman, no, a handsome man with bright blonde hair and nice red lips.
He had the uniform of the Imperial Guard, and was a native of my nation Cheiva. For a moment, I felt depressed as I thought of the knights test I took a while ago, but the feelings died down.
Judging by the badge on his chest, he seemed to be a captain. He was with Duke Alpine, a royal servant and a great nobleman.
It was surprising to see this famous iron-blooded nobleman appear in a movie inside my dreams.
The Captain of knights treated the Duke with an amicable face throughout the conversation. For some reason, the Captain’s actions felt very elegant.
In particular, the way he gently overwhelmed the old Duke who was supposed to have decades of experience.
I was dazed in admiration and then came to my senses. This wasn’t the time for me to be dazing. When will this movie end?
However, I noticed that this movie had a similar pattern to the previous one.
The man didn’t talk to the Duke, but like the previous protagonist, he turned his head towards me and glared. I smiled. If the film was repeating the pattern, then that meant that this movie would end soon.
