Random Anime Fanfiction - Chapter 6 The Academy

“Quiet down children, I understand you are excited that you are beginning your journey in which you’ll eventually become important figures which can protect your home village but for now. SHUT UP WHILE I TALK!” said a shinobi whom I assume is the teacher

“Now my name is Iruka Umino, and I will be your teacher while you are here in the academy”

“To start off, let’s all introduce ourselves to the rest of the class, I’ll go first. You already know my name but for formalities sake, I am Iruka. My likes are helping my students and my dislikes are when children give up on themselves”

“First is *looks down to piece of paper* Naruto Uzumaki” he says in a calm tone of voice but there seems to be a hint of dread in his voice

“Hello. My name is Naruto. You all might as well call me Lord Hokage but I’ll accept Lord Naruto. My likes are Ramen and being better than all of you. My dislikes are disrespectful brats.” he says in an arrogant tone of voice and I look around for the disdain of my fellow classmates but I see them looking at him with worship and respect in their eyes. What the absolute f*ck. Why do they respect that arrogant b*stard. Please say there will be some normal people in this class

“Next in line” the teacher Iruka says “My name is Sasuke Uchiha, don’t like anything and don’t dislike anything either” says an another arrogant looking child but this one is definitely emo.

“Hi my name is Sakura. My likes are *blushes*. My dislikes are losers that think they are better than others even though they aren’t .” says that pink haired snob that insulted me from a few days ago.

*The rest of the inductions*

“Hi. My name is Jake. My likes are reading and spending time with freinds. My dislikes are when people people blame others for things that are their own fault” I say trying to be quite generic but that may be a problem because I got a lot of funny looks afterwards

“His eyes look so weird”, “He looks so weak and frail”, “I have never heard of him before, could he be an abandoned child from another village”, “Isn’t he that demon child that recently joined the orphanage”, “Oh yeah he is”, “Why is he still standing up?” it was at this point I just sat down and decided to go back to reading my book to try and stop the other children from discussing about me.

“Why isn’t he paying attention to our comments”,”Does he think he is better than us”,”He is going to be beaten within an inch of death once we get out of the class”. Yep at this point they aren’t even bothering to lower their voices but let’s see how Iruka is going to react to this. Annndddd. He is just pretending to be busy reading something. Sigh.

*After class*

I see the Hokage discreetly gesturing me to come over and when I arrive, “So how was your first day of academy?”, he asked with an hopeful look on his face

So I answered “It was so fun. I learnt so much. I’m so glad I went”, while lying my a*s off in order to get this old man to stop bothering me

“That’s great news, I knew you would enjoy the academy. I hope you made some freinds with the young generation of the village” he says in a jovial tone with way too much expectation in his voice.

“Well I hope you’ll continue to enjoy you academic life and go on to become an integral member of the village. I appoligise but I must get back to my office and continue working” he says before turning around and walking away.

Well before I get any more interruptions I should go to the library.

*A short time later*

Upon entrance to the library I see that it is basically empty except for a single old man sitting at a desk. I assume the man is the librarian.

“Excuse me would I be able to have a moment of your time please. If so, could I enquire as to how the books are organised and the policy on bringing books out?” I ask trying to be friendly because I will most likely be spending a lot of time here in the foreseeable future

He slowly looks me up and down before slightly nodding and saying, “There are four sections, history is first section, basic techniques is second section, basic knowledge is third section and fourth section is biographies. All of the books are unrestricted on this floor but that is because all of the books are common copies. You may bring books to me and I will make copies for you to take away but you will need to return them within three days” he says with a monotone voice but I can barely hear a well hidden strength and dominating aura

“Thank you for the info” I say while bowing to a full 90 degrees solely for the fact, this old man seems the most normal I have met so far

*After a quick browse of all the sections and picking out some relevant books*

I read several books to begin with which basically explained how to increase the body’s maximum chakra capacity, how to increase chakra control, how to train the body via taijutsu and basic jutsus with low requirements and they were quite easy to learn in theory but I will know for sure once I attempt the methods in practice.

Once I put the books away and left the academy I realised more time passed than I expected and the sun was nearly down.

I needed to rush to the orphanage before the curfew otherwise I will get in trouble for causing the caretakers to worry that something that happened to me.

*Soon later*

I arrived in my room and pretended to sleep until the other children fell asleep and the caretakers also fell asleep. Once I was the only one left awake I sat on my bed in a meditation position with my legs crossed and backs of my hands resting on my knees and middle fingers and thumbs connected and the rest of my fingers straight and pointed to the other hand (e.g. basically a stereotypical meditation posture). Then I tried to mentally feel a form of energy flowing inside my body and my mind. This was extremely difficult as I only started to notice after approximately 4 hours and it took an additional 4 to just gain simple control over both energies but no matter how hard I tried, I was unable to merge the energies in the slightest.

Then it dawned on me that I should probably check my stats
