We glanced at each other and we were thinking the same thing.

There was only one other being that could make us feel uncomfortable, Angel!

I could feel it coming closer as we prepared ourselves for the fight.

A humanoid figure appeared in front of us bathing in a cl.u.s.ter of flickering lights wearing pure white clothing that covered it’s body.

Pale white skin, white pupils, and long fluttering blonde hair. A pair of white feathery small wings grew behind it’s back.

“No wonder there is an unholy smell. Let this lowly servant of God cleanse you, sinful creatures!” it spoke.

It moved backward using it’s wings and created a bow and arrow made of light.

“Oh Lord, please grant your servant Thy strength. [Holy Arrow]!” as it pulled the bow and fired an arrow made from it’s light and flew with a rapid pace.

“Duck it!”

The arrow flew rapidly narrowly hitting our heads and burst into pieces of light after hitting the floor.

“It’s useless!” The angel shot a [Holy Arrow] again.

We quickly rolled towards the wall avoiding the attack.

[Damn it, we are at a disadvantage here due it’s long range attack as well as our current location. It will be hard to go near it.].

The corridor was too narrow and provided no hiding spot. It favored long range attackers greatly.

Description: Though having the outer appearance similar to a human, They are in fact born in Heaven and servants of God. Angels are the lowest rank being in Heaven. Due to having a body made up of mostly Holy Light, they are extremely susceptible to attacks containing Hellspawn’s essence.

[Holy Arrow]

Description: Create an arrow made up of particles of Holy Light. Very effective against Hellspawns.

[Phew… It’s a good thing that the angel is not too broken and has a weakness, otherwise this will be my grave].

“[Holy Arrow]!”

I was looking at the information from the [Insight] and therefore I was too late to react and the arrow managed to grazed my face and shoulder.

“Damn it! Urgh.” The attack contained Holy elements and there were some “leftover” of it stuck on the wounds and burning them making me feel more pain.

[This body really hates and rejects the Holy element. The pain was like small a [Hell Ant] biting you over and over].

“Uh… fellow higher imp? Do you have any idea how do we survive the angel’s attack.

I know that it should not be able to infinitely release [Holy Arrow] but we will probably be dead by that time it exhausts itself.” the imp ask as it dodged an arrow aiming at it’s knee.

“Do you think I don’t know? I am still thinking.” I rebuked as I glared at it, but then I realized something and my expression turned happy as I found a reasonably good idea.

“As a matter a fact, I do.” I quickly dashed towards the imp and grabbed his arm and threw him towards the angel.

“Ayeehhhhee “

The angel was surprised and flinched making the invoke of [Holy Arrow] failed.

Naturally, I grabbed the chance and the narrow time frame to run as quickly as my a bit bigger than a normal imp’s leg near the angel.

The angel finally realized what my plan was but the imp was at least smart enough to keep the angel from moving away by holding him down, though …

“Ahhhhhh …. ” “Urgh… Get off me you sinful being!” Both of them screamed in pain due to the conflict of both opposing elements.

I used the chance to quickly use [Enhanced Shadow Claw] and extended it as well to avoid touching the angel’s Holy element.

My attack easily penetrated the angel’s chest. Of course, I tried to avoid piercing the imp too.

However, I was surprised to find out that there was not any blood that splurted out from the angel’s chest but there was some dark spot that appeared at the part of the angel that I had attacked.

The dark spot was spreading faster covering almost all the chest part of the angel.

“Ahhhh… What is this?! Lord please grant Thy servant Thy strength!” The angel was howling in pain.

“What are you daydreaming about! Quickly attack the angel!” I shouted towards the imp.

The imp flinched for a second before attacking the angel. I was also not idle to give time for the angel to recover as I immediately used my other hand to claw the back of the angel.

The clothing provided no defence as my claw tore it into shreds and wounded the angel.

Dark spot also appeared and quickly spreading making the angel feel more pain and interfering with it’s concentration.

We kept on attacking it because we knew long ranged fighter would have difficulty when the enemy managed to go near it and was enganging in a melee combat.

The angel finally lost it’s strength after a little time and mainly due to our pincer attack dealing massive damage.

“Lord … Please forgive Thy servant… I can not erase these sinful beings … ” The dark spot covered all of it’s body as the body of the angel burst and exploded into particles.

“Wew… ” We both slumped on the ground after confirming there were no enemies and the angel was dead.

I checked my shoulder and saw that mu wound was healing but the speed was slower than the usual.

It was also itchy and very uncomfortable. I was annoyed and my mood turned bad.

[Note to self. After clearing this floor, I will exterminate all the [Hell Fire Lizardling]s until I get the skill [Fireball].

I was lucky that there was a meat shield but next time? At least, I need some skills to handle long ranged attacker and it should be useful also in the long run but for now rest].

As I wanted to rest, I was interrupted and my mood turned worse.

“Hey, What gives? I asked for an idea not to throw me towards the angel. Say something, will you?!” complained the imp.

Initially I wanted to completely ignore it, but it kept pestering and complaining and it would not shut up making me unable to rest.

“I only took the most logical way to win and kill the enemy in front of me. Besides, you don’t feel bad when you had used your fellow imp for a bird’s feed.” I said indifferently.

The reply shut it up good and I was able to rest and tend to my wound. I also looked

towards the current situation of the floor.

[Tower of Babel Floor 1 Area 2]

Our fight took longer than I had thought. I remembered that before it was 45 and now more than half of the participants are already dead.

“Hopefully the last fights are not as c.u.mbersome as the one with the angel …” I muttered in low voice.

“Did you say something just now?” asked the imp.

After recovering we continued to find and kill more enemies to quickly get out of this tower. There was nothing more to see.

Thankfully, there was some fights but they were significantly easier than all of the last fight.

The first one that we had encountered was a group of 3 goblins. That said, I got nothing to say about it other than killing them.

Then a lone goblin that was unreasonable and we killed it and finally a party of humans consisted of 4 people.

The humans were smaller and weaker than the last one. I had seen their [Status] and not even of them was above level 25.

I naturally didn’t underestimate them and ambushed them with the imp quickly killing the one with the bow, seeing the bow reminded me of the angel as I quickly ripped the archer brutally.

The brutality shocked them silly then they were horrified and paralyzed in fear?

Weird, usually for goblins or the past humans seeing their comrade died in front of their eyes, they were enraged and glared at me, their enemy hatefully.

Not that I was complaining as I killed them all cleanly.

I heard something from the imp saying something like they were novice or young humans that was why they were very easy to kill.

Anyway, back to the present.

I and the imp were standing before a huge door, the same when I first had been teleported to the tower.

[Tower of Babel Floor 1 Area 2]

There were 5 beings that were still alive, including us two. That meant whoever or whatever behind this door were the last 3 beings and most likely like us they were in a group.

[Wait … 5 … 2 of us … the main objective… wait so you are telling me that most likely all of the Hellspawns are already dead and only us are remained?!

Seriously, how weak are the Hellspawns this time! at least there should be like the [Undead Rusted Knight], right?]

I facepalmed myself and it seemed that the imp had not realized it yet and was bothered with some other things.

“Finally, I can get out of this tower, I am already bored seeing the same wall.” complained the imp.

“You can get out from the beginning but you choose to stay here” I replied.

“I told you, I believe that it will be interesting to be with you. See, we have just killed an angel.” the imp said cheerfully.

The door opened and we entered the room. Same layout same everything until the door opposite opened itself and came 3 figures.
