Rebirth: Never Live Up to You - C36
“If you have something to say, then let me down at the front. I’ll take a taxi back.”
“Let you down now so you can go back and find him?”
“Chi Yinan, I have nothing to do with him right now.” She almost yelled out, an unexplainable anger, the pain of being wrongly accused.
“Hur hur, I have eyes, sit tight for me, before I run out of patience.”
Chi Yinan clenched his teeth as he spoke. Lin Jingsheng was as annoying as a fly, while Su Wenjin was the cracked egg. He smelled the stench as he followed behind him.
He watched her enter the house before starting the car and leaving. Su Wenjin leaned against the door, listening to the sound of the engine disappearing as she slowly slid down the ground.
Despair rushed into her heart, she had never expected to meet Lin Jingsheng in the hospital. Listening to how the two men were at odds with each other, if it was any other woman, they might have felt honored, but to her, it was indeed torture. A man who had left for seven years and now wanted to start anew, regardless of the fact that she was already married, she could only bring it back to remember in front of her.
She had actually left for seven years, why did she come back? Forget about her return, why did she disturb her peaceful life? She was no longer the headstrong Su Wenjin who only knew how to be willful in his arms.
Lu Ziyun thought that Auntie Xue had returned from going to the supermarket when he heard the door open. He went downstairs to see that it was Su Wenjin, who was sitting with her back against the door. He was about to tease her a little when he realised that there were still undried tears on her cheeks.
Hearing the voice, Su Wenjin raised her head and saw Lu Hua Hua Hua standing with one hand on the railing not far away. She had an expression that she did not understand as she stood up and wiped away the tears on her face, before passing by.
“Su Wenjin, you …” Lu Ziyun was standing in front of her, blocking her view of her red eyes. He didn’t know what to say.
“Get out of the way.” She pushed him away and wanted to go upstairs, but he held her back. She turned around and glared at him fiercely, but he remained unmoved.
“Su Wenjin, who bullied you?”
“None of your business.”
She actually saw worry in his eyes. Although it was only a flash, she pushed him away and ran upstairs when he wasn’t paying attention. Although she was crying weakly now, she didn’t want others to know that it was Lu Tingxiao. He was on the same side as Chi Yinan.
Lu Ziyun followed closely behind her as they walked back and forth outside the bedroom door. Her eyes were red from crying, a pitiful look that he had never seen before. That look lingered in his mind, as if he had a devil’s nightmare.
In the end, he knocked on the door but there was no sound coming from inside. He waited for a while suspiciously and knocked again. There was still no sound.
“Get out.”
His skin was fair and fair. Even though his eyes were closed, he was still able to accurately grab hold of the paper from the tea table and throw it at her. He was caught off guard and got smashed in the head by her, but before he could react, her second sentence had already escaped from his mouth. It was louder than the first time, but there was also a hint of anger contained within it.
He opened his mouth but said nothing in the end. He put down the paper, turned around, and walked out.
As the sound of the door being locked faded away, Su Wenjin opened his eyes and looked at the empty and quiet bedroom. He licked his dry lips, then turned over and bent his legs, burying his head in the crook of his arm.
