Rebirth Of A Dragon God - 37 Top 1,000 // Navigator Competition
Time flew by very quickly for the contestants.
Nearly a month had passed inside the little worlds since the start of the competition. Yumi was currently feeling very giddy as she played with her breasts that were now double the size they originally were.
She had woken up to find out that she had made it into the top 1,000 fighters! Luckily for her, there were less than 30 Transcendent Fighters who joined the competition, and she never faced any of them. All her opponents ended around her own strength and she either out maneuvered her opponents, or caused her opponents to slip on ice and painfully do the splits.
Looking at her profile, she was awarded a dazzling silver bandage with the number 998 beneath it, cementing her position. She had also gained 1,000 GP and 1,000 XP pushing her to level 19 on her profile.
To reach the top 1,000, each woman would have to go through 11 battles. The result ended with 634 final winners. The remaining 366 spots were chosen via viewer voting. Luckily, Yimu managed to snag herself the 998th spot thanks to her voters.
During this time, the Navigation competition had been set in full for the 625 boats made during the first competition.
Back in the little world designed for the Ocean Pavillion members, several courses were set up. These included massive patches of ice, storms, rough waters and shallow/craggy waters. Sinking or destroying the ship would result in an instant disqualification. Only those that reached the end of their course would pass. The top 10 would be decided by the judges based on expertise of handling their ships, controlling their crew, and speed of completion.
Each woman was given a crew of 50 and was given 60 minutes to confer with them and prepare for sailing.
Following this, they boarded their ships and awaited Da long’s signal.
Standing on the the beach, Da long nodded and shouted, “Start!” to which all the sails immediately opened and the crews started using their cultivation to create gusts of wind to fill the sails.
Just like that, they were off!
At the lead was actually the crew that rode the ship created by Da long’s Fan Club. The large black ship had several more large sails filled with air. The only downside is that their energy will go down faster than the other ships.
Looking at the binnacle, the red haired captain stood with her arms crossed. The compass was currently swinging Northeast as they shot into the glittering blue sea.
As it stands, every one of the 625 potential navigators were red haired women from the Red Oasis; after all, they were the only ones who could focus so closely on foreign trade.
Shouting out, she ordered, “Set course Northwest for the tormentous waters. The ship is too heavy to pass through the crag.”
“AY!” the crew women shouted as they pulled the sails heavily left. The several women behind the captain gripped the large wheel and heaved it left as well. They were targeting the far off patch of raging waters and dark clouds. As they approached, they could better see the lightning stiking down into the water.

On the other side, the redhaired captain of the Treasure boat targeted the craggy waters. This was a very narrow path to sail through and very dangerous. The waters were shallow and the paths were broken up with many large rocks that could easily sink a ship.
“Bring the ship to half mast and move to oars. Do this slowly, and listen to my exact orders,” the captain said loudly.
“AY!” the crew shouted as the pulled the sails half closed and began pulling up large oars. The sky was bright and blue so it was easy to see the patches to avoid. Not only did they have to worry about the rocks, but water passage may be much rougher in certain areas compared to others.
Although these women were all cultivators, they had yet to learn how to fly. Nature could still kill them.

The Mermaid ship had taken a peaceful route that appeared to be without peril. In actuality, they had only taken this random route because they wanted to stay as far away as possible from the other ships.
Once the captain was convinced that no other competitor was watching her, she had her crew slip away and accidently arrived at this lushe land. The water was very calm and peaceful; the passage was a wide swerving river that seemed to cut through the direct center of the land mass.
Both the captain and the crew were very confused.
“Keep your vigilance. There’s sure to be some massive change soon, so don’t get complacent!” The captain shouted out.
“AY!” Her crew shouted back.

Da long’s Fan Club’s boat was currently edging around a violent whirlpool. The sky was nearly pitch black as rain pelted the deck and bodies of the women struggling on board. The captain’s green eyes glowed as she grit her teeth.
“The wind is converging at the center of the whirlpool! Close all sails and bring the ship parallel to the water flow! We’ll build the most resistance before trying to disturb the wind!” Following her loud shouts, she took several of the women with her and struggled to walk around the deck.
These winds and waters combined were enough to give Peak Body Realm cultivators a heap of trouble.
“THERE!” She shouted excitedly, trying to yell over the assaulting wind. She extended her finger, pointing at the formation that appeared to be a new whirlpool. If this was allowed to form, then the ship was as good as gone for them. “BLAST THAT WITH EVERYTHING YOU’VE GOT!”
The whole crew rushed to her side and say the formation of the second whirlpool. Steeling themselves, they formed small suns in their hands and formed each small one into a single large ball of fire.
It must be noted that while the Frozen Fairies use Ice as their element base, the women from the Red Oasis use both flame and earth.
“GO!” Each woman shouted as they pushed with all their might. The rain and water evaporated as it touched the large ball of fire that resembled the sun. By the time it hit the little whirlpool, it had shrunk to about 70% of its previous size. This however, was more than enough.
With a large explosion, a massive amount of steam shout out of the ocean forcing the women to fall back. The steam was formed from the condensed cultivation fires which was burning off at a rapid rate.
“OPEN THE SAILS IMMEDIATELY!” The captain screamed as she grabbed several ropes and began pulling with all her might. The rest of the crew rushed to do the same.
There was a massive explosion in the water behind them just as the sails fell. The scorching wind immediately caught their sails and very nearly pushed them out of the sea entirely. The force of the wild wind managed to push them out of the danger zone.
“Quick! Close sails and grab the oars! target the break of light in the sky; due North!”

The Treasure ship was facing a hurtle of it’s own. The gap before them was just wide enough to permit their ship passage, but the whole passage was windy and one slip up would cause the whole ship to crash into the cliffs on either side. To make things worse, the water had become faster and more violent; running downhill almost.
“Close all sails, and brace your oars against the craggy cliffs. Start pushing with your oars to advance.” The captain ordered.
“Stop!” They had reached a curve, and the captain ordered them to push against the forward momentum of the water.
“Right side. Slowly release your pressure and allow the ship to pull left. Left side, hold your positions and allow the ship to turn properly!”

Team Mermaid was very confused right now. The land they were passing through could be considered a holy land. They place was covered in a thin rainbow like fog, as peaceful deer galavanting through the woods, frolicking with butterflies.
‘This. Doesn’t seem like much of a competition…’ The captain thought, while feeling an odd sense of foreboding in her heart.
They were entering directly into a fag so thick that they couldn’t see through it. “Prepare yourselves, and take it slow. We’ll breach the fog now!”
Saying this, the ship swiftly entered the fog. It was so thick that one could not even see their own hands. The captain and crew were both very nervous. In this situation, there was no way they would be able to react in time.
Clenching her fists, she waited apprehensively for something to happen.
Nothing…
Nothing…

Suddenly!
The ship broke through the dense fog and arrived back at their exact starting point.
“Eh?”
“Eh?”
Both the captain and the crew were speechless. This was literally the easiest challenge ever.

It took roughly 14 hours for all the ships to return. Surprisingly, no ships had been destroyed or seriously broken.
Stepping out, Da long personally greeted every one of the captains. “Congratulations on making it back. It is now time to announce who the 10 who will be navigating my ship will be.”
Sending out an alert on the system, he began reading the list aloud. “Captains Ru, Chin, Bao, Zan, Ling, Ping, Zhenya, Yazhu, Shu, and Gengxin have all been selected! Congratulations!”
A majority of the girls pouted when they heard this. They had already heard about how Captain Ling of the Mermaid ship had managed to find a lucky safe passage and make it first. The winners of course were very pleased and had stepped forward to gather around Da long.
