Rebirth Of Abium - Volume 2: Volume 2 Chapter 170 170: Vampire
Chapter 170: Vampire
Abium turned his head towards Nadine and ordered.
”Tell me all information about that Mage who is guarding this town.”
A look of curiosity appeared on her face as she heard Abium’s word, and soon she spoke solemnly.
”He is a second-tier mage named Heller from Rath institute, My Lord. Except for other superficial knowledge, we know nothing about him.”
Hearing those words, Abium wasn’t surprised.
He pondered for a moment and soon shifted his gaze towards the Anchorage area. Multiple boats were already importing goods into the cargo ship, and all of those soldiers and holy knights were constantly checking each other using some artifact.
Once he saw the strange artifacts, he knew that sneaking in using his upgraded faceless mask was almost an impossible task and soon fell into a dilemma.
As Abium was racking his brain, he suddenly saw a Red robed old man, around 70 years old, was walking towards Anchorage from the town street. He had straight black hair, a square face, pale skin, and black eyes. He also saw a strange red mark on the red-robed guy’s hands and got confused.
‘He must be the second tier powerhouse! From the looks of those strange claws, he looks more like a Warlock.’ Abium thought to himself. He also saw another two black-robed men following after him and guessed that those two must be first-tier mages.
‘But why is he walking out of the Magic tower?’ Abium looked at the Red robed guy with puzzlement and began to hesitate. He knew this was a big opportunity for him to assassinate this guy. But if the enemy somehow manages to evade his attack, he would be in a bad position.
After thinking for a moment, Abium made up his mind and scanned the red-robed mage.
‘Heh, so he is a Vampire, huh. Moreover, a Viscount Rank.’ Abium creased his brows.
‘Vampire… He might not be a member of Rath institute… Light Church member? Possible.’ He nodded thoughtfully and soon furrowed his brows as he saw the bloodstain on the red-robed guy’s hand.
‘Is he injured?’ He turned his face solemn and then shifted his attention towards the two first-tier mages, who were following after him.
‘Both of their robes are already covered in blood. It seems all three of them encountered a fierce battle.’ Abium stared at them for a second and soon curled his lips upward.
‘It’s a perfect opportunity! Hmm, although he is 200 meters away from me, it won’t be a problem for me to teleport right in front of him. Then I have to destroy his heart in the first attack, otherwise, his wound will heal quickly. I heard vampires have unimaginable regeneration innate ability.’ Abium formed a plan in his mind.
The next moment, he cast the ‘Quick-Thinking’ divine spell on himself and entered into a deeply concentrated state.
Without any delay, he took out his scarlet sword from his spatial ring and disappeared using a teleportation spell.
In the next millisecond, Abium’s figure reappeared in front of the red-robed mage, Heller. With a calm look on his face, he then cast the ‘Misfortune’ curse on the mage while tapping his ‘Miracle star.’ At the same time, he cast both Mind Freeze and Aura of Hallucination spell on Heller and attacked Heller’s mind.
For a moment, Heller couldn’t be able to process his thoughts and stood with a dubious look on his face. All he noticed was a humanoid figure suddenly appeared in front of him, and the next moment he felt his thinking ability became disarray.
Abium gave a cold smirk and directly thrust his short scarlet sword towards Heller’s heart while covering his sword with a master-level greenish aura.
Although a small light shield appeared and tried to cover Heller’s body, Abium’s scarlet sword directly tore through the light shield and instantly stabbed his heart.
Abium didn’t stop there as he withdrew his sword, directly slashed his sword multiple times, and completely cut him into numerous pieces.
”BLOOD MIST!” Heller screamed before he was cut into small pieces. The next moment, Heller’s body turned into scarlet mist and spread everywhere while corroding all those who stood nearby.
Upon watching this scene, Abium’s eyes widened. Instantly, he cast the ‘War Angel’s wings’ spell on himself and flew up towards the sky. A moment later, he saw the nearby Holy knights, soldiers, slaves, and even those two first-tier mages were wholly eroded by the blood mist spell and died in seconds. The scarlet mist completely absorbed their flesh and blood and turned them into skeletons in a few seconds.
After that, the scarlet mist soon condensed into a large blob of blood droplet and then formed into a humanoid figure. Now, Heller’s eyes turned red, and his sharp claws and his n.a.k.e.d body was covered entirely in blood. He looked up at Abium with a hateful glare and then muttered coldly.
”Blood Berserk!”
Following his mutter, two red-colored bat wings made of pure blood materialized behind his shoulder, giving an ominous feeling to the surroundings.
With a shrill cry, Heller flapped his blood wings and shot towards Abium at a fast speed.
Abium became shocked for a moment and quickly covered his body with both of his crimson wings.
The second later, a loud bang resounded in the air. Everyone saw two figures directly fell on the deck of a pirate ship and got terrified. Abium slowly stood up with a pale face while shaking his head and noticed Vampire Heller also standing up while glaring at him intensely.
In a second, Abium recovered from the shock and noticed some changes in the Vampire Heller.
‘His strength and agility already crossed above 10! I need to kill him quickly.’ He instantly made up his mind and took out his ‘Death Cane’ from his spatial ring.
He then pointed the heel at bloodied Heller’s head and cast the ‘Death Shot’ spell.
Bang!
A bloody hole appeared on the Vampire Heller’s forehead as a loud bang sound echoed, and a second later, his whole head exploded like a watermelon!
Then with a loud thud, Vampire Heller’s body fell on the deck and stopped moving after twitching for a while.
Without minding the fearful gazes of pirates who stood frozen on the deck, Abium stored his Death Cane and went near the Heller’s body.
”Assassin!”
Meanwhile, other first-tier mages shouted in terror and got panicked.
Abium didn’t waste any time as he confirmed that Vampire Heller was already dead and began to extract Vampire’s blood essence into a small bottle. After that, he inscribed multiple rune words to preserve the blood essence and stored it in his spatial ring.
He then took out a golden coin from his pocket and tossed it upward. The golden coin flew up and soon began to shine brightly.
It was his first adept level artifact. It had the ‘Illusion Area’ spell model inscribed in it.
A second later, all of them entered into a strange illusion. Some shouted in fear, while others tried several methods to wake up from the illusion.
In the meantime, Abium teleported beside one first-tier mage, who stood on the deck and directly cut his head. Abium didn’t stop there and once again blinked. Although a few first tier-mages used spell scrolls to defend themselves, Abium attacked those defensive spells ruthlessly using his master sword aura and killed them one by one without any problem. That ‘Illusion Area’ spell gave him a good opening.
Within ten minutes, he killed all those remaining first-tier mages and reappeared on the shore, where he cut Heller’s body into pieces. After that, he dismissed the ‘Illusion Area’ spell and stored the golden coin in his ring.
Without minding the terrified onlookers’ gazes, he picked up Heller’s spatial ring and put it in his pocket.
He then coldly glanced around his surroundings and spoke loudly.
”Listen up, everyone. Sailing is forbidden for the next two days in this harbor. I will kill anyone who dares to escape from here using boats and then hung their bodies at the entrance. Got it?”
His cold voice resounded loudly in that harbor, and soon everyone, including those slaves, began to nod their heads.
”Good.” He nodded his head and turned his head towards Nadine and Smith, who already arrived near to him, then added with a chilling tone,
”These two people are your new leaders from now on. All of you must obey their orders for the next two days. If any one of you thought of rebellion, I would kill ten soldiers without any mercy.”
Hearing his words, one of the Holy Knights, who stood on the shore, couldn’t able to hold back his anger and asked coldly.
”What would you do if all of us began to rebel?”
Following that, other holy knights, soldiers, and even some adventurers began to nod their heads and began to show their dissatisfaction.
Watching this, Abium let out a sigh and calmly walked towards the Holy Knights, who had already begun to gather in a group.
Abium conjured a scarlet-colored terrifying fireball with a snap and directly tossed it towards those holy knights.
It flew towards the group faster, and once it made contact with one Holy knight’s body, the enormous fire began to expand like a massive balloon.
A second later, a loud boom echoed in the harbor, and a single fireball completely devoured more than fifty Holy knights. In a mere second, all of them were dead, leaving only their charred bodies behind. For a moment, nobody spoke a word and stood with fear in their eyes.
”Smith, bring all those slave traders to the entrance of the magic tower. If someone dares to refuse, kill them on the spot.” Abium ordered ruthlessly and turned his attention to Nadine.
”Nadine, your job is to close the entrance channel and put the whole town under lockdown.”
Once he sent out those orders, he turned his head towards the cargo ship.
”Bring all those slaves out from the cargo ship.”
All those adventurers, slave merchants, and soldiers, who already boarded on the cargo ship, began to move those Mermaid slaves to the shore using boats. Using that opportunity, Abium also extracted a small bottle of blood from an Elite Mermaid and stored it inside his spatial ring.
He then asked the slavers to release those charming mermaids and silently walked towards the ownerless Magic tower.
Meanwhile, Nadine and Smith began to send out multiple orders to all those soldiers and adventurers.
At the same time, those freed Mermaids directly dived into the seawater and disappeared from everyone’s eyes.
Abium, on the other hand, arrived in front of the magic tower and entered inside.
Although a few apprentice mages tried to block his way, he killed them before they could attack and stormed into the magic tower. It was a three-storied magic tower build using Red Herbalite stones and stood sturdy. He didn’t waste any time in the first two layers and moved quickly towards the third layer. After five minutes, he stood in front of a head-sized blue spherical crystal and smiled.
He then casually placed his hand on the bluish crystal and marked his spiritual imprint in it.
With Azolla’s help, he saw all those spells inscribed in that tower core and nodded his head pleasantly.
‘4 second-tier spells, 18 first-tier spells, and 70 zero tier spells. Not bad!’ Abium was pleased and soon noticed only tens of slave traders were gathered at the Magic tower’s entrance.
With a serious face, he teleported from there and reappeared at the entrance while startling everyone.
”My lord, what are your orders?” Smith asked as he went beside Abium.
”Order them to release all their slaves. After that, kill all of them.” Abium spoke decisively.
Upon hearing his decisive words, Smith’s eyes widened.
”I will carry out your orders.” He bowed respectfully and sent out orders like a veteran soldier.
Abium didn’t waste his time and reappeared inside the magic tower. After that, he moved towards the laboratory located in the second layer while pondering.
‘I can’t stay in this tower for more than two days. Evil Eye organization and Light Church must have already aware of Vampire Heller’s death.’
While he was in muse, he arrived in front of the alchemy laboratory and walked in.
‘Blood smell!’ Abium then narrowed his eyes as he sensed the blood scent and shifted his gaze towards the large table filled with many experimental materials.
Inside, he saw many test tubes, beakers, a few amethyst lamps, crystallization dishes, spatulas, cloth filters, mortars, and pestles, and even some tongs were arranged in order.
But what made Abium startled was that he saw an altar placed at the center and many weird signs appeared all over the laboratory room.
‘Blood sacrificial altar?’ A deep frown appeared on his forehead. After thinking for a while, he destroyed the altar and wholly erased all those weird engravings on the floor. After that, he took out a golden pocket watch from the wooden table and put it in his pocket.
He then shifted his gaze towards the walls, towards the ceiling, and noticed multiple strange murals appeared everywhere. The walls of the laboratory room were covered with strange symbols, paintings, and runic inscriptions. He also saw a few humanoid skeletons and a bunch of strange medicinal herbs were hung from the ceiling and grew more alert.
‘This place looks more like a ritual room.’ He thought.
