Rebirth Of An 8000 Years Old Mage - 34 Elemental Powers
Fang Qiong tried to use her vines to restrain the golems but it was quickly proven useless and just a waste of mana.
Xiao Yang swung his blade across the golem’s neck, but it was as if he was cutting water, the golem remained unscathed and its neck quickly reattached itself.
The golem’s face suddenly twitched as if it was smirking at him, the golem then suddenly had its mouth wide opened. Xiao Yang was able to clearly see that elemental energies were quickly building up in the golem’s opened mouth, soon the golem roared out and sending a ball of compressed wind hurling towards Xiao Yang.
‘Not good!’ The attack was too quick for him to dodge, and if he was hit by the attack, his bones would likely to shatter into pieces upon impact.
Xiao Yang decided to pull out an A-Class elemental, the elemental started to float above one of his palm and electricity started to grow around it. The coin started to glow brightly then soon Xiao Yang felt an enormous amount of energy suddenly seeking into his body, with all his strength, he refined the energy into a compressed ball of wind that was large than the golems.
In a blink of an eye, Xiao Yang released the compressed ball of energy that he built. Xiao Yang’s ball of Wind met with the golem’s, the two attacks collided but only one of them survived and soon that attack was headed toward the golem.
Even though the power had been reduced, it was still sufficient enough to smash the golem into dust, however, the dust floated up into the air and just like last time, the golem gets resurrected again.
After using the coin, Xiao Yang’s mana had dropped all the way to zero, making him temporarily unable to use his elemental power.
‘It’s still not enough?’ Xiao Yang knows that in order to destroy the golem, he would need to smash the stone that contained the golem’s elemental core, but the golem’s resurrection speed is too fast for him to reach the corpse.
Then suddenly, Dong Zhou managed to slow down one of the golems with his Ice power, but he only managed to slow it down for a few seconds before the ice started to melt again and the golem return to its original speed, however, that gave Xiao Yang an idea of how to beat the golems.
“Dong Zhou, use the elemental coin!” Dong Zhou instantly knew what Xiao Yang was planning to do, so without any delay, he pulled out the A-Class elemental coin. Sparks of electricity appeared around the coin and the coin started to shine brightly as the energy surges into his veins, the air around him started to become colder.
With the enormous amount of power stored in his body, he quickly released a chain of frosts cloud towards the two golems.
The two golems were trapped in the frost cloud and when the cloud dispersed, what left was two frozen crystal clear statue. Not even a single vibration could be felt from it, the temperature of the room had dropped dramatically and had become freezing cold.
Dong Zhou and Fang Qiong who was closest to the golems, took the chance to swing their sword at it. The golems came crashing down like a jig-saw, amid the pile of rubble was a palm-size rock made out of sandstone, it had a crusty surface that exposes a cloudy gemstone inside.
When they smashed the two rock, a scream could be heard from it then, and two Wind elemental beast cores were revealed from it.
“Is it over?” Qian Fei asked.
Xiao Yang was able to confirm that there was no longer any elemental reading being emitted from the rubble apart from the two elemental cores.
Several minutes passed by and there was no sign of the creatures being resurrected again. So Dong Zhou replied, “It seems so.”
“We should quickly continue up the tower before the portal fully opens up.” Xiao Yang was already walking up the stairs.
After collecting the elemental cores, the others followed him up the stairs.
Fortunately, they didn’t meet any more powerful beasts like the previous one, they were able to easily deal with them and after several battles, they finally reach the stair that led them to the final level.
Xiao Yang quickly scanned the room with his Divine Eyes, but he wasn’t able to see any elemental readings other than the portal core itself that was floating on top of an altar.
Xiao Yang didn’t want anyone else to break it, so he quickly walked past the rest. The portal core this time had dense cloud floating inside of it.
He quickly drew his sword and slashed it across the surface of the sphere-shaped portal core. The portal core cracked into pieces of tiny shards, the shards soon vaporized into a silver-cloud and eventually formed a ring-like object.
“B-Class Divine Airsoft Revolver Received.”
The familiar robotic female voice rang in his head and he suddenly felt something teleported into his pocket. When he reached into the pocket with his hand, he was able to feel a ring-like object.
He was shocked and excited at the same time, not many things could spark a speck of excitement into him nowadays, but receiving an elemental tool from destroying portal cores were unheard of and so he is curious about the newly discovered weapon.
He tried to control his excitement by putting up a stern face so that others don’t get suspicious, he looked at them and luckily they didn’t seem to saw what happened. He believed that he was the only one who saw the forming of the ring from the grey-cloud, otherwise, the others wouldn’t be so calm right now.
“Cough… Alright, I think we should make our way back now.” Xiao Yang acted as if nothing had happened and just started walking off the altar.
They all agreed and followed him back, they weren’t in much of a rush though, Dong Zhou’s injury was able to heal up with Qian Fei’s elemental power.
