Rebirth Of An 8000 Years Old Mage - 39 The Abyss of Thunder Valley
Xiao Yang nodded in response to the three high elders, then walked past them to meet Commander Li.
Commander Li clenched his fist and force himself to bow down him, then politely said, “It’s an honor to meet this venerable one, I am Commander Li, currently in charge of the Tai Empire under King Ping’s order.”
“Where are the coins?” Xiao Yang coldly asked.
Commander Li gestured his men to bring out a heavy-looking chest, they then quickly unlocked the lid, revealing a shiny pile of coins that all have the marking ‘A’ forged on both size of its surface. The coins all emitted an elemental aura, indicating that they are genuine A-Class elemental Coins.
“Venerable one, would it be alright if you could hear out my request?” Commander Li continued to bow down and asked.
Xiao Yang silently stared at him then replied, “Speak!”
Command Li quickly replied, “The Tai Empire is currently looking for the traitorous Prince San, would it be alright if we keep a few guards in the region as a watch out for him?”
“No” Xiao Yang coldly replied without giving it a second thought.
“Please I promise the new guards won’t disturb the local villagers.” Commander Li quickly added, he was given the order to find and eliminate the missing prince at all cost, if the prince is left alive then the rebellion would continue to grow.
“I don’t think I need to repeat myself, do I?” Xiao Yang’s tone deepens to a more intimidating voice.
Commander Li bit his bottom lip and replied, “We will follow and fulfill ever request of this venerable one.”
Xiao Yang walked up to the chest and closed the lid, he turned around to look at the three high elders from Thunderbolt Academy.
The three high elders noticed this and quickly came forward then asked, “Does this venerable one have any request?”
“Can I trust you to take these coins and distribute it to the affected villagers?” Xiao Yang calmly asked.
The three high elders quickly replied, “Of course, venerable one. Please leave it to us.”
“Mhm…” Xiao Yang nodded then said, “Then I shall take my leave now.”
Xiao Yang walked forward to the direction of the thick mist that led deeper into the Thunder Valley. No one dared to follow him in fear of provoking an SSS-Class mage’s ire, they all just watched as the white cloak slowly disappeared into the abyss.
…
Half an hour had passed, and Xiao Yang had walked several miles deep into the valley. It was completely covered in frogs, there was no light source around, there was a constant noise of thunder but no flashes of light could be seen.
The valley was still raining but the air felt strangely dry, Xiao Yang looked around then said to himself, “They should have left by now, I should just turn back around.”
Originally he only wanted to stay in the valley for a while until everyone fully left, but he decided to head deeper into the valley out of curiosity but so far all he found was wet and sticky mud, there was not a single speck of plant life.
-Roar!
The sound of a beast suddenly roared within the deeper part of the valley, Xiao Yang felt that the wind was getting stronger and was now slowly pushing him back.
The atmosphere in the vicinity also felt heavier and the air became even colder, Xiao Yang summoned his C-Class King-Snake Armor and his Divine Airsoft Revolver.
u003cMana: 254/300u003e
His mana was still not fully replenished yet, he could only use his revolver two times at full power, but that would be enough to kill any S-Class beasts or even a regular class SS-Class beast.
Using his Divine Eyes, Xiao Yang is able to mimic a faint elemental reading from the distance that was covered in heavy fog, the fog was so thick that it might as well been a solid wall, not even a single light could go through it.
As the creature came closer toward him, the elemental reading became brighter indicating that the amount of power the beast has. Not long after the elemental reading became even brighter and now it has the power of an SS-Class, but Xiao Yang was still calm and unafraid, he believed that two-shot from the revolver is enough to kill it as long as he could hit the beast’s vital parts.
Xiao Yang aimed his revolver towards the direction of the beast, but suddenly he froze his muscles and the revolver only got lifted up halfway.
The elemental reading of the beast didn’t stop growing bigger like how Xiao Yang had predicted, but it has now grown stronger than a regular SS-Class beast, and it didn’t even stop there.
The distance between him and the beast had finally shortened, he could now accurately detect the beast’s aura, what came next made his muscle stiffened.
‘Why would there be a King-Tier SS-Class beast be here?!’ The power of a King-Tier SS-Class could even surpass those of a regular SSS-Class beast, what’s more there size is much bigger making their attacks much more difficult to dodge.
A beast of this magnitude could easily kill an SS-Class mage with a simple swing so let alone Xiao Yang who was just a C-Class, even with the combined might of the revolver, killing it would still be an impossible foot.
The distance between the two quickly shortened and Xiao Yang was able to now see that the beast had three crimson eyes.
Eventually, it’s entire lion-like body emerged out of the thick mist, Xiao Yang was able to recognize that it was an SS-Class King-Tier Three-Eyed Lion. The lion had white furs with black strips on it like that of zebras, it’s entire body was bigger than a house.
-Roar!
The beast roared out and sending a tangible sound wave toward Xiao Yang. The wave hit across Xiao Yang chest, sending him back several meters away.
Xiao Yang landed on the slimy mud and coughed a mouthful of blood. Unable to get up, he felt like his ribs got shattered apart.
