Rebirth Of The Elemental Goddess - Chapter 32

Navi who had never seen such a gruesome scene puked for a couple minutes. After puking she picked up the carcass and the berries and left. After returning to where she woke up she set up a fire and skinned the rabbit. After cooking the rabbit she had dinner. Then she climbed a tree to sleep.

– Present

Navi sighed as she reminisced about the past. A forest just like this one was the start of her journey. But unlike before her constitution wasn’t weak in fact she had one of the best constitutions out there. She also had the experience of becoming a goddess and enough wisdom to discern between good and bad people.

“Navi is something wrong.” asked Aria

“Hmm Ohh nothing to worry about just thinking of something.” said Navi dismissing the question

Aria knew that she was lying as she had heard some of her past story. She knew that Navi was a slave and was once stuck in a forest. So she knew that she was probably thinking back to the time she was in the forest. Since she knew it was a delicate matter she didn’t want to pry.

Misato had turned around by now and she had also caught a glimpse of Navi’s melancholic expression. She also felt astounded. Navi was known for being stoic and emotionless due to this she was dubbed ‘The Demon’ by the class. Misato admired Navi due to this she was inclined to stay close to her. Seeing her like this was a first for her and hearing the conversation Aria had with her she also never seen this side of her.

Navi who had snapped out of her reminisce sighed and looked at the girls.

“Right we should get on the move. Aria you’ll fight close to us but I’ll only help you if need be if you find Spirits, elves or fairies refrain from attacking them as they protect the peace within the forest. Misato you’ll fight with me so that I can boost your level to at least 25 then you’ll regroup with Aria for more leveling.” said Navi

After saying that she used detection magic to scout the surroundings to her surprise she found some groups of beasts.

“You two follow me towards this way there are some goblins and dire wolfs fighting this will create a great opportunity for you two.” said Navi whilst running towards the fight

– Sometime later

After reaching the fight Navi followed by the girls stood on a tree.

“Go Aria since you can attack from afar take advantage the goblins don’t have bows.” said Navi

After saying that Aria summoned several spirits and made them fight. Since most goblins were distracted they fell easily under Aria’s attacks helping her level up easily.

Misato on the other hand was being helped by Navi. Navi would slow the enemies with ice and she would easily be able to kill them. Doing this in fact helped out Misato as Navi wouldn’t take so much credit for killing as she was only supporting.

After dispatching most of the enemies Navi told Aria to stop attacking and let Misato take them on. Misato by now had reached level 24 and was close to leveling up.

As Misato looked at the 6 remaining goblins she prepared herself. The goblins even though were level 35 were severely wounded and looked somewhat tired. Misato used shadow movement to hide her steps as she appeared behind the first goblin and sliced his neck with her dagger.

Because she was behind the rest of the goblins she pulled out her short sword and carved up the two closest. The goblins who hadn’t reacted yet were now charging at her with anger. Misato slide to the side and killed the first one. She threw her kunai to the next one piercing his head. The last one was scared as stared running but he was tied up by Misato’s steal treads and decapitated.
