Rebirth of the Nameless Immortal God - Chapter 2294: First Disciple
Dyon remained silent for a very long time.
When he said that his Immortal Sense had surpassed the Ninth Spiritual Sage realm, he hadn’t been exaggerating. At this point, even the barrier between the immortal and mortal planes had no ability to block his sight.
Due to the special folding of space between the two planes, each and every location within the Immortal Plane was equidistant from the mortal plane. As a result, as long as one’s soul reached a certain threshold, peering into the mortal plane had the same difficulty no matter where you were.
Unfortunately, Dyon’s soul was still a bit lacking compared to the past. The images that were transmitted to his mind were lacking and quite vague. He could only barely tell that a void beast had somehow appeared on the mortal plane, and he could also tell that the Heavens had attempted to erase its existence to no avail.
Other than these two facts, he didn’t know anything else, he wasn’t even aware that his daughter was currently fighting such a battle. However, he didn’t need to know this to be pissed off. There was only one reason such a beast would appear when it never had in the history of the mortal plane.
Dyon wanted nothing more than to break the void and return to the mortal plane right now, but he simply didn’t have the ability to do so. He still had several things to prepare. If he could do such a thing, why would he still be lingering here after awakening his memories?
No, even beyond that, why would he originally plan for the outcome of him returning to the immortal plane in the first place? It was obvious that Junior, who had had a part of his memories reawakened, knew in advance that Dyon would be sent back to the Immortal Plane. In that case, why had he never stopped it from happening? Obviously, there was something on the Immortal Plane that Dyon needed.
Dyon took deep, steady breaths. He could hardly stop the flames of black from flickering within the depths of his eyes.
He had planned too long for this. He had been planning ever since he lost Madeleine the first time.
The Holy Goddess had been his wife in his first life. They were meant to be enemies for a lifetime, but fell in love instead. Due to that love, she sacrificed her life and passed her Purity Flames to him in hopes that they could break the hold the Heavens had on their fates.
Unfortunately, due to his disposition toward evil, Madeleine had no choice but to erase his memories of the event. If he was aware, it would have been too easy for him to sink into darkness once more. But, there was one thing he held onto… and that was his will to reach the top.
After that, he went through cycles of love and suffering, eventually falling for seven more women and raising four disciples like his own sons.
Eventually, the loss became too much and he almost lost himself during the final stages… but Madeleine appeared again, having reincarnated to become his ninth wife. A perfect cycle. She was both his first and his last…
Following this, he put all of his accumulated experience into action. He perfected his master’s Cycle of Reincarnation skill and entered Samsara to experience 108 lifetimes.
Why had he done all of this? It had been to find the perfect life… To find the perfect point in time where all those he cared about could be by his side once more. And he had done it, they were all here.
His junior disciple had believed that Dyon had been trying to save a mortal plane that wasn’t worthy of his efforts, when the reality was that Dyon wasn’t such a nice man. He only wanted to save the mortal plane because it was the only plane between the two that had a proper cycle of reincarnation… This was why he needed it…
After all of this, he was already so close.
Of course, there were a few hiccups. For one, his parents had lost their souls in this life and he hadn’t found Luna or his daughter… But, he had managed to reverse time and start another line through Jade, thus allowing him to store their souls in a safe place. Secondly, his junior disciple had foolishly joined a side they shouldn’t have and was completely unaware that they were simply being used… He couldn’t even count the number of hardships and pitfalls he had experienced through those 108 lifetimes…
But he was here. He was so close. He refused to allow anything to get in his way.
“I’ll destroy anything that gets in my way.”
Dyon’s words were calm and composed, but the elevation of the Pill Sword Mountain bubble world sunk by a whole meter under his relentless pressure.
lightsvεl m After forcefully burying his emotions, Dyon got to work.
First, he needed the Spiritual Vein. It would be the very best power source for the vessel he had built with the Yin Soldier Immortal God’s Legacy World.
Secondly, he needed the God Stele. With it, he would be able to refine Reaper to the peak of perfection and finally allow it to break the shackles that had always chained it down.
The third thing he had needed was Little Gold, but she was obviously by his side already. In addition, with the help of the Yin-Yang Eight Reversals Pill, she had even faintly surpassed the momentum she had in her peak before entering a deep slumber.
By now, the Immortal Plane was in complete turmoil. Wars of all kinds had broken out in even the most prestigious corners.
Some of them ended immediately. Others raged on for weeks. But, very few of them had the Sapientia on the losing side.
The Hegemons couldn’t believe what was happening. They had just been diligently planning to deal Dyon and Abraxus a heavy blow, but now… they were suddenly being targeted? And by those they had trusted and respected for practically all their lives?
At this point, maybe no one but Dyon could fathom the scale of just what was happening. But, it wasn’t much of a surprise, then, that many simply assumed that this was the work of Time and Space Immortal God.
Not long ago, they were just speaking about how Abraxus was declaring war by sending Dyon forward to humiliate the alchemy world, and now, all of a sudden, the Immortal Plane was in turmoil? How could this be a coincidence? Many of them had already made up their minds.
Unfortunately, as a result of this, those who managed to survive the first barrage of attacks were already pointing their swords toward the Time and Space bubble world. In addition, the Hegemons that had been on the fence and ignored Gilpin’s invitations had also completely flipped.
To those fools, these hidden ticking bombs that had been within their Sects and Clans had simply failed to take them all out completely.RreAd latSt chapters at nô(v)e/l/bin/.c/o/m Only
However, Dyon knew quite well that this was bullshit. The Sapientia had been planning this for countless trillions of years. In the time they began to formulate this plan, the number of planar worlds that had been birthed and died were simply too many to count…
Yet… These fools actually believed that they failed to take them out?
These Hegemons believed they were great, but they were nothing more than ants! If the Sapientia wanted you to die, you would die! If you were alive, it meant that they weren’t ready to accept the offering of your heads just yet! It was this simple.
Dyon already knew that this was all a ploy. This was all to take out his Master, the only man aside from himself who could threaten the Sapientia and their plan.
The Sapientia knew that targeting a man who was known as the Time and Space Immortal God was simply too difficult. The means he had at his disposal were too vast. Their best chance at success was to work on such a large scale and via many proxies so that the future would be as difficult to predict as possible.
If they simply sent an assassin, there was a 99% chance it would end in failure. However… What if they provoked the entire Immortal Plane to kill a man who was never known for his large following…?
In all his years, Abraxus had only taken three disciples. Aside from them, he had little protection around himself and he was getting on in years.
If the Immortal Plane was determined to take him out and were willing to pay a severe enough price… he would surely die.
Usually, the Immortal Plane’s Hegemons would never find such a thing to be worth it. But… What if they had suddenly suffered severe losses? Even to the point over 50% of the strength had suddenly been sapped away by unknown pawns placed within their Sects and Clans…? Would they still find it to be an unnecessary price to pay…?
“Don’t worry old man, this first disciple of yours is coming.”
