Rebirth: Son Of Lucifer - Volume 1 Chapter 12 12

James woke up stretching his arms our in the air yawning.James felt a little more tired then usual as it was dark out and gray sky die to the clouds, it was supposed to pour rain all day and possible floor. Looking into the mirror in his room his Abs and arm muscles have become defined and his hair grown a bit spiky.

James grabbed his white shirt, and black hoodie throwing it on. Pulling on a pair of blue jeans and black and neon green sneakers.

Picking up his Black backpack and slinging it over his shoulder he went downstairs and and left to school.

As he got there he went into the cafeteria and grabbed a donut with coffee for breakfast.

As the morning went by during class James heard that a kid was talking shit about him and his friends. Although this didn’t make him furious, he didn’t take it unfazed. The kid who did this was named Barren. He was a mid rank student in his stats and would offten praise himself and his abilities.

{For clarification ranking refers to social standing in power. Looks like this}

-Low rank:

people who are below even average people strength, being the weakest.

-average rank:

average people who are a little better than low rank and capable of normal human feats.

-mid rank:

People who start to go beyond the human capabilities and into super human but not all the way super human. Still possible but definitely better than average human capabilities. Things like running a faster then most people, stronger than most humans,ect.

-high rank:

Some of the strongest kids at school and have almost no one in the school who can tell them what they can or cant do.

-top rank:

The Top 20 students in the entire school. these students have a lot of potential and power. everyone else at school doesn’t have the power to beat them, and are the celebrities at school/Popular kids who everyone looks up to at their school.

Although James right now could probably reach high rank with only his stats and no skills, Isaiah included. The rest of the group would probably be somewhere around high mid rank.

But no one in his group had let anyone at school really see what there capabilities are. so due to this they didn’t really have a rank yet and were generally ignored.

James went through classes and lunch came along. As he was walking in the hall he saw a clump of kids in the hall, as he walked passed them one slammed into his side and he flew into a locker. although it didn’t hurt him much, it surprised him as he wasn’t paying attention. As he got up and looked over he saw a tall guy standing in front of him.

Waring a blue shirt and baggy jeans and brown hair with blue eyes. It was barren.

James sighed at this. Annoyed and disappointed.

‘I just want my food man…’

Barren walked up to him confidently.

” God ur worse then what i thought, I barely rushed you and u got thrown, and dazed”

“You ran into me while I tried to get food… of course I wouldn’t pay attention to a weakling like you…”

“…The hell did you call me!” Barren went to grab for James’s neck. Leaning to the side and grabbing his arm James flung Barren over himself and on his ass.

“I said, you’re weak. now…if you don’t mind im going to get food as im hungry.”

James turned and started down the hall the the cafeteria. James suddenly felt like something was about to hit him and ducked, luckily just dodging Barrens fist.

Turning around he glared at him. ” Really….”

Barren swung again at him and James simply dogged to the side. “Stop already, you’re wasting our time.”

“Screw you!”

Swinging again at James he yelled, pissed off that he was basically humiliated in front of a bunch of spectating classmates. James sighed and grabbed his wrist then slammed his other fist into Barren’s stomach making him fall over in pain.

James quickly left and got his food then sat down and carried on with his day. Gossip spread through the school.

As the end of the day came and James walked outside with his friends Barren stood there in front of them with two others while it was pouring rain heavily. James pulled his hood up from his hoodie and stared at them. Austin,Isaiah,Will, and Ben all did the same and waited to see what happens next. Barren glared at them as if he wanted to kill them where they stood. James looked twords the other two people next to him.

‘wait…those are both high ranks…although low-high rank still…this is gonna be a pain, especially sense i don’t want to show off to much. not cuz i don’t want people to notice but simply its another annoying thing to deal with…sigh…’

James took a step towards them and Barren immediately rushed him while the other two rushed the group. James ducked and doged swing after swing.

Austin(In a crimson red hoodie) and Will(In a gray hoodie) went against the taller of the two high ranks. At the same time Isaiah (in a neon-green hoodie), and Ben (in a yellow hoodie) fought the other.

As multiple minutes pass they all are able to hold their own just barely against these high ranks.

James slams his fist into Baren’s jaw, knocking him out and sending him flying through puddles on the concrete splashing water all over. Quickly turning around and assisting his friends. Shortly after they mange to beat the high ranks and all of them are panting and there breath is slightly visible.

slowly they leave the school and head back home. James passed out on the couch while Isaiah cooks himself something to eat.

Isaiah passed out sleeping shortly after eating. they continued to sleep all night,bas the sound of rain and thunder overhead passed.
