Rebirth: Tyrant’s New Reality - Chapter 293: Trapped
Arkhen couldn’t see anything, and most importantly, he couldn’t even enter his Mystic Wonderland.
‘Velshi, what’s going on?’ Arkhen asked, a slight anxiety creeping up in him.
[ The power of that mirror has bound you in this cage. You can’t teleport anywhere. The reality motes or reality essence of the current level 2 system are not enough to alter and bend the reality of this cage ]
‘And It cost 100,000 reality essence to upgrade the system to level 3, right?’
[I am afraid… that even the power of the level 3 reality system also wouldn’t be enough to affect the reality of this cage]
‘Then how will I get out?’ Arkhen was dumbfounded.
[I-I don’t know. I am trying to find solutions]
Arkhen took a deep breath, knowing he had to remain calm, especially in such situations.
However, Arkhen suddenly saw the surrounding brighten as the blackness outside the cage vanished.
In an exquisite white hall, Arkhen found himself in the middle of this hall as five people stood before him.
Five people in black robes with different types of golden patterns and embroidery designs.
“He is indeed the one.”
Arkhen couldn’t see their appearance as a black mist covered each of their faces.
“Come on, brat. Take out the reality token.”
Arkhen stared at them with a deadpan expression while communicating with Velshi.
‘These people know about the reality system.’
[It does seem like it. Myriad Mayhem knows about the Reality System and is always after it; as a matter of fact, previous hosts were killed instead of getting captured like you].
[If they are killed, the system can escape because it is no longer bound to the host’s progression]
‘So they want to extract the system from me while I am still alive? Then I guess I don’t need to fear about dying for now,’ Arkhen thought.
[Yes. Also, I found our current general location. We are actually in another dimension that is connected to this world of Nine Realms]
‘Oh? What kind of dimension is this?’
[It’s a very vast special beast-type dimension with a more powerful power ceiling and atmosphere. The specialty of this dimension is the beasts. They can turn into small balls]
‘Like Pokemon? But instead of captured into balls, they turn into balls?’
[Yes. From the information I have, they are somewhat like the Bakugan anime show from planet Earth]
‘I see…’
[One more thing. These beasts can turn into special items like armor or weapons as well. But all of that is useless for us. I still can’t find the solution to leave this cage and escape]
[Moreover, those five people in front of you are way more powerful than you. You have no chance of surviving even if you escape]
Arkhen internally wryly smiled upon hearing that.
“Now, now. This is not going to be that easy. So let’s start with our usual method. Eventually, he will surely give in.”
Arkhen scoffed upon hearing them. For now, he knew that they kept him alive because they wanted the reality system from him. If he said he didn’t know how to give it to them, which they might not even believe, but if by chance they believed it, he would get closer to death.
So at the moment, he must play along…
“No matter what you do, I am not giving this system to you,” Arkhen said with a grin.
“That, you should wait for some time, hahaha,” one of the men said as he waved his hand and took out a similar mirror that was the reason for his current situation.
“Lord sent us these relics after our previous failures is indeed the best thing. Hehe, I can wait to blast that offensive-type relic on those arrogant pieces of shit in the 9th realm.”
‘9th realm? Are these fucking people from the 9th realm?’ Arkhen was dumbfounded but didn’t show it.
[Their power levels don’t match beings of the 9th realm. They are at most at the level of beings in the 4th realm]
‘Hmmm… But they must also have people in the 9th realm, right?’
[Definitely]
But while he was talking with Velshi, that man who took out the mirror activated it as it glowed before the cage around him changed shape and turned into chains that bound his arms and legs!
“Let’s start with ice,” a feminine voice rang out from one of the five people as she waved her hand and created a mystical icy cloud on top of Arkhen.
That cloud started raining tiny ice shards that started whirling around Arkehn’s body. Then, from his neck area to his feet, they whirled around and started stabbing into his body.
Arkhen kept his face straight, but the pain increased as those shards actually started piercing his body from one side to another.
Piercing his flesh, bones, and organs, Arkhen puked blood because of the internal damage in his body.
“Don’t kill him.”
“Relax. Those ice shards left their fragments in his body. But instead of damaging him, they will heal him.”
Indeed, Arkhen could sense his internal injuries healing rapidly as the next batch of shards started piercing him.
“Good. Let’s go and continue our work. We’ll come back after a few days and see if he is ready to give up.”
Arkhen saw them leaving, but he kept his expression as deadpan as possible. His pain tolerance was already high, so he was not bothered too much by his current situation.
‘We need to find a solution, Velshi. But first, let’s check the ancient secret and that Desperado Mark. Show me their information in my consciousness.’
…
While Arkhen was trapped here, the Empire was in a state of shock.
In a hall, the heads of five council families and the Royal family gathered for a meeting with Yosin, Sherly, and Tiffani, who relayed information about the situation.
“Where is Sasha?” Sasha’s father asked with a frown.
“S-She was with Arkhen. I mean, according to what we know, Arkhen has some personal mini dimension. She was inside there while Arkhen was fighting.”
Sasha’s father turned blank.
“Don’t lose hope,” Emperor said as he turned to Sasha’s father. “Don’t assume the worst. They saw them trapping Arkhen and sending him through a portal. It means that they very well wanted Arkhen alive.”
“Which means Sasha is also alive.”
“We can’t do anything against the group that managed to trap Arkhen. They are way out of our league and possibly from higher realms.”
“First of all, we don’t have any means to find his location.”
“Let’s send the news about Arkhen to Cherry Blossom Sect. They might have some means if they had Arkhen’s soul imprint or something like that, which can find his location.”
