Reborn As Kakashi’s Adopted Son - Chapter 17 Family?
A couple of hours have passed since the mission started and Robin still hadn’t spoken a word since his outburst or on why he was behaving like that. Even the two girls didn’t have the courage to talk to him even if Hanabi had acknowledged her feelings towards Robin she was still a little kid deep down and she has never seen that side of him before and was scared by it.
If Robin knew Hanabi loved him he would laugh his heart out she didn’t even know his true self she fell in love with the happy version of Robin that he put up while in the academy. She doesn’t know of his internal struggles knowing what would happen in this world, not being able to sleep had taken his toll on him mentally.
Even if he was very strong mentally sometimes out of nowhere the feeling of helplessness shrouded him, knowing how strong future opponents are, and knowing how fast he needs to become strong the only thing, that kept him sane in all those years was his dad and the darkness.
He considers Hanabi and Kyohaku his close friends but even they don’t know his true self, the boy that is scared about the future, the boy that feels useless, the boy that feels lonely, the boy that wished he had somebody to talk to about, the boy that is scared deep in the night alone. Robin always saw the bloodline as something incredible and thought that it was something useful but, on some nights he cursed this bloodline for even awakening or even wishing for it it was something he hated on those nights.
While he was in his thoughts he was suddenly awakened by a screaming voice from the so-called princess. “What is this” (Shizu)
the sight that she saw was indeed a sight that was truly disgusting without them knowing they had entered a bandit camp and there were naked women everywhere and some corpses of the ‘used’ tools (women) the whole group started to throw up.
But Robin just stood there and was thinking and realized something wasn’t right here so he spoke up “where are the bandits?” It was indeed weird it looked like the bandits were having fun with the women not long ago but they were nowhere to be found and to answer Robins question a scream could be heard “HELP” Robin didn’t think twice about it and told Genma.
“Sensei free the women and take them to Konoha I’m going to look at the bandits” even before Genma could say something Robin was gone.
A couple of minutes later Robin could be seen sitting in a tree observing what was happening with the bandits they were not shinobi so they couldn’t sense him even if they were they had to be at least close to Chunin level to notice him. What was happening was interesting to Robin there could be seen a group of bandits surrounding a little cat well if you would look closely it was a black baby lion and the bandits saw it as ‘money’.
If the little lion was defenseless Robin would have already saved him but when he first arrived here he felt something that made him the happiest person alive.
He felt that the black lion had the darkness element and almost on the same level as himself so he felt very close to it and decided to watch.
And what he saw was something amazing the little lion shot little darkness daggers out of his body and killed almost all the bandits until it suddenly stopped Robin finally noticed it the little one was injured and really bad too it was even a wonder it was still alive.
The last bandit wanted to kill the lion since he was so enraged with how it had killed all of his friends but before he could so he was hit with a kunai in his back and Robin could be seen walking out of the shadows.
It was the first time he had killed a man but he didn’t care at this moment he saw the little lion as someone of his family since he knew there was no one other than him with the darkness element.
When he walked up to the little lion it could be seen looking at him weirdly and suddenly it spoke up in a small child’s voice. “Human I can feel the darkness element in you I’m dying at the moment please make a blood contract with me” the little lion was thinking inside ‘i can feel the same element as me I would rather die than to become someone’s partner but this guy is different.’ It also felt the same connection to Robin it was a sense of family and closeness something this little one had never felt before.
“Sure” Robin didn’t even question what it was, he was on top of the world right now since he felt so close to this little guy.
“Alright” the little lion got up and made a wound on Robins’ arm and on his own paw and let the blood touch each other and said some weird stuff and after that, it said, ” well now we are bonded for life if I die you die, if you die I die”. Since the blood contract, the little lion showed signs of healing and was no longer in a state that he could die any given moment.
‘Isn’t it normally that if the beast companion dies I live but if I die the beast dies to’? Well, Robin didn’t care either way so he asked the little lion to introduce himself.
And with pride in his cute little voice, he started “well I don’t have a name yet so give me one later but I’m from the god’s realm part of the greatest clan ever the Black lion clan” ‘what a simple and honest naming sense’ (Robin).
“My ancestor is Lord darkness his beast companion or brother whatever you want to call it” (little lion)
Robin was shocked this little guy was part of a clan in the god’s realms, and why did he feel a sense of closeness to this so-called Lord Darkness?
Robin swore to himself that he would treat this lion as his own blood and would never use him as a tool.
-In the god’s realm-
“My old friend is this indeed one of your descendants” (lord darkness)
“Yes brother he indeed is i thought my clan was all dead after that attack from all the clans but I see one of my descendants just fell to a lower realm and to think he would become family to your successor truly this day is the best day in millions of years for me” a black lion as big as a dragon could be seen answering Lord darkness with tears in his eyes.
‘This little one is so young he most likely doesn’t remember the demise of his clan’ (Black Lion)
