After a mental debate, he decided to sneak in and check on her. If she was asleep, he would return to his room and act like nothing happened.
He changed into the robe he had made her, keeping in mind that she had mentioned preferring him to wear nothing. At least the robe was easy to get rid of.
When he was done, he took a deep breath and climbed out of the window, knowing that she would feel his presence if he used his powers to get to her. He climbed to her window and gently opened it. He peeked through the curtains to find that she had placed a foldable table beside the bed. She had just finished setting a kettle of tea on it and was arranging an assortment of different colored cakes and shortbread on a beautiful multi tier tray that she must have made herself.
So it was an actual tea party..
She turned around when she felt a slight breeze and smiled when she saw him. “You came.”
“I wouldn’t want to miss out on the fun.” He waited for her to invite him.
She made way to him and tiptoed to kiss his lips gently.
“What if I didn’t come?” He jokingly asked.
“I would have summoned you in your sleep.” She pulled him onto the bed to sit and poured him a cup of tea. She had made it herself, and he knew it from the unique scent and taste.
“Did you finish your assignment?” He asked to strike up a conversation.
She was wearing a silky nightdress that reached slightly up her knees and all he could think about was her body without it. He needed to keep his mind off before he tore it off her body.
“I had to. I got a lot of help from Cat.” She blinked her eyes and looked at him. For a moment, they couldn’t keep their eyes off each other.
She frowned in the next moment and shook her head. “I made shortbread.”
“Can I have you instead?” He teased.
Her cheeks flushed. She unintentionally played with the ring on her finger—something she had been doing lately when she was nervous. It would have felt awkward to talk about it in the past but he was already her husband.
She looked at him even though she had the urge to look away and her voice lowered as a result. “I did say that you could have whatever you wanted.”
His response was placing their tea cups back on the table and holding her, kissing her lips. He kissed her impatiently, demanding all of her as he pulled her to lie on the bed.
She held his shoulders as his hands roamed her body. His touch felt electric as it sent heat rising under her skin at every part that his fingers glided.
He parted her thighs with his knees and she let him, gasping when he caressed her inner thighs.
Heat pooled in between her legs as he stroked his way up her core, giving her the urge to press her thighs together.
His eyes were blazing when he looked up at her and kissed her hungrily. He tore his robe off and tugged the hem of her nightdress before lifting it.
She looked up and met his eyes, her eyes reflecting her need that reciprocated his own.
She arched her back to let him take her nightdress off. The curtains swayed slightly from the breeze coming in through the open window. When it hit her skin, she held her breasts in her hands.
He took her hands away and replaced them with his own. He kneaded and massaged them in his hands, and she bit her lip but a moan still escaped her mouth.
“Don’t hold back.” He urged as he kissed her breasts. His lips trailed down her body, kissing and licking and sucking, and she could only grab the sheets beneath her.
“Dairon,” She bit out.
He responded by parting her thighs further and burying his head between them
She grabbed his hair as moans escaped her mouth. Her toes curled in pleasure as he licked and sucked her. He brought her on edge and slowed down just when she was about to reach her climax, then slowly increased his pace.
“I need you, flower.” He spoke when he raised his head. His voice was hoarse with need.
“I’m all yours.” She gently caressed his shoulder as a way of letting him know that she needed him just as much.
He used his elbows for support as he parted her legs, positioning himself between them.
“It’s not going to be painful.” He reassured her when he noticed her tension.
She trusted him. She let herself calm down. He kissed her deeply, caressing her waist as he gently filled her. She cried out.
“Are you okay?” He asked gently.
She nodded, clinging onto him so he wouldn’t stop. He slowly pulled out and pushed into her, letting her get used to it before picking up his pace.
…
When it was over, she was still in disbelief. Her body was sweaty and although he had been doing most of the work, she felt as though she had been run over by a train. She couldn’t move an inch.
Demons were indeed insatiable—not that she was complaining.
He had made love to her and it was nothing like she imagined it would feel. It was the most amazing thing that had ever happened between them and if she wasn’t imagining it, it had a magical effect as well. She felt stronger and closer to him than she had ever been.
He wiped her body with a warm towel when they were done, thank goodness because she was too tired to freshen up on her own.
When he was done, she wanted him to stay and spend the night in her room. She didn’t need to tell him before he lay down next to her. He must have access to her mind even when he was not reading it.
Being in his arms felt magically amazing and when he stroked her, she couldn’t help feeling sleepy.
“Goodnight, flower.” He whispered over her head.
She hummed, too tired to let out a single word.

The following day, Jasmine managed to wake up and actually crawl out of bed. She would have been overjoyed if she had the option to sleep in all day but they had to meet King Rian so she took a shower.
Dairon was ready to go. They had their breakfast, which included more nutritious meals, and then teleported to King Rian’s castle.
As usual, he didn’t look pleased to see them and seemed like he didn’t have a choice.
“You are here. Did you finish the tasks I gave you?” He asked when the two of them bowed their heads upon reaching the throne room. To be exact, Jasmine had bowed slightly and Dairon only appeared to bow because Jasmine threw a spark at his feet and he looked down at it for a second.
“I finished mine.” She spoke first. “I now know the rules of all the realms even though some of them are far-fetched.”
She had adamantly refused to become Scarlet’s assistant and he had no choice but to let her be. He looked at her and his smile was full of darkness behind it. She could be as stubborn as she wanted. Once Dairon was gotten rid of, she would not be able to raise her head.
“What about you, Dairon?” He demanded.
“The little gods will stop trying to get to the underworld when you give them enough information of what they don’t know.” He responded, making it King Rian’s fault. “But if you ask me, there is nothing wrong with them going to the underworld. Unless Ulke is going to have them for dinner.”
King Rian frowned and Dairon took it as a cue to taunt him even more.
“Though from my observation of the narcissistic demon, he prefers to have old gods who are too greedy to appreciate what life has offered them for breakfast, lunch and dinner.”
“It’s a relief that you are too appreciative to try and grab what you shouldn’t. Right, King Rian?” Jasmine added to make him want to explode.
“Right.” King Rian kept in his anger. “I will send your next tasks to your castle. If you have any complaints, you can complain about them to Ulke.”
He sent them off after his threat, which Jasmine had managed to comprehend.
“Will he kill us if we don’t do the mission?” She asked almost sarcastically.
“He will try to.” He was certain that he meant that, or that he would banish them to the underworld.
She laughed but looked at him when they left the castle. “I’ve been meaning to ask. Why would the king of the realm of immortals seem so powerless in your presence?”

Why do you think King Rian doesn’t seem to be able to deal with Dairon on his own?
