Reborn For Revenge: Mr. Smith Can You Handle it? - Chapter 31
Chapter 31
“We will contact you soon,” a man in medical gear said as he looked at Levian and Sherry. He shook his hand with Levian before e he too mounted the ambulance. After closing the door, he and the ambulance went away.
“What are you going to do now?” Levian asked Sherry as they watched the ambulance take away the dead body. They stood at the entrance of the mansion without speaking. The silence continued until the ambulance had disappeared completely from their sight.
The wind whistled past them- Sherry shivered a bit as she was just in a thin sweatshirt. Before she could react, she felt arms around her while warmth from a fabric surrounded her.
Levian had taken off his coat and draped it around her shoulders. It was not much, but it was more than enough to block the wind. As for the previous question he asked her, he was not bothered by not getting answer from her.
No matter what she decided to do, he was going to support her from sidelines. But that was in the contact of her agreeing to his side of contract. The situation was a bit different now. He had not foreseen this situation and he was pretty sure this will bring a drastic change in the contract they made.
As to whether it was going to be a change that was favorable for him or not, he had to wait and see. A deep frown was engraved in his forehead as he got lost in his thought.
Sherry tightly held the coats as she wrapped it around her. She took one last look at the road that the ambulance had taken. It was probably the longest she had started at something apart from the frog that she first dissected in her practical medical test.
“That frown doesn’t suit you.” She said with a light chuckle, her gaze fixed on the face of Levian. Hearing her voice, Levian snapped out of his thought. He looked sideways-his eyes landed on the soft features of Sherry, which seemed a bit weak as in comparison to the girl in the wedding this morning.
“Are you not coming in, Mr. Smith?” Sherry said with a smile on her face. She turned around and started walking towards the house.
Roy who had been standing a bit away from them nodded his head upon getting the confirmation from his boss.
“After you,” Levian said with polite gesture. He too turned around and followed closely after her with his fingers balled up into a tight fist.
‘What a forced smile, does she think she is Movie Empress?’ He sighed inwardly in his heart. Her smile back then could not fool even a blind man.

“I still can not contact my uncle and aunt,” Sherry looked at her phone that still had a call ongoing. She had been trying to reach them for the last ten minutes. She was pacing around the room with a frown on her face. Levian could see she was getting impatient with each passing moment.
“Sherry, just clam down,” Levian said as he held her hand. He made her sit on the couch right beside him.
“But-”
“No buts, you are not fine right now,” he said as he patted her head. She had just received a big emotional trauma. Her actions were all based on the reaction and influence from that trigger.
‘I am fine,” Sherry insisted with a small pout.
“No you are not.” Levian showed her the amount of time she had called those two people despite getting the knowing she was not going to get through.
“Well, cough, you know…” Sherry had nothing more to say. She just shrunk back in her couch feeling a bit tired. He was correct and her calmness was just a façade she had kept. But there was nothing more she could do.
With nothing to help her, she was stranded helpless as she got surrounded by countless uncertainties. She had just died but as soon as she was reborn the entire world around her, which she had thought was the truth came crumbling down in span of one day.
Her family, her friend and her lover, everything she had in her life turned out to be fake. In this life, she was alive so she could take care of the last rites of her old maid. The heart attack was inevitable. Thinking about how she could might have been treated by her snake uncle and aunt, she felt cold all over again.
‘If I had died today, there would have been no one who would have taken care of her even after her death,’ Sherry could see the image of what would have happened in her mind. She was not sure if it was just an illusion she was seeing or it was the original fate of the old maid.
“Alright, stop with your weird thinking.” Levian blocked her wide opened eyes with his palm.
“Roy will be here soon, and we can get started,” Levian said in the same nonchalance. His voice was stern and unfaltering.
Hearing what he said, Sherry stiffened a bit. She knew they had to talk about it sooner or later. Back in the hospital, she had agreed to help him to evade his marriage. She was going to act as his lover until his grandfather did not torture him to get married.
In exchange, she had asked for nothing more. She wanted to let Chris and Bella live however they wanted. It was the final gift to both of them. She was going to see with her own eyes how daring were they to start a new family after all that had happened.
As long as Levian helped her find a good lawyer to help her with getting the property from her uncle and aunt, she was content. She was going to cut her ties with them, take away the old maid and live in peace. But since she lacked any practical knowledge about legal things, she relied on Levian. It would be better to say she trusted the contract more than the person.
But now, she was going to have to change a few things regarding it. The situation had, after all changed.
Right at the moment, there was a knock in the door.
