Reborn Legacy - Chapter 7 Gods Of The Zone

The two henchmen lead us out of the chamber and through a maze of dreary corridors that offered no welcoming warmth or light.
I felt empty and an eerie feeling being just myself and the other girl amongst the henchmen. My heart ached at the thought of never seeing Troy again. I held a hope that one day we’d cross paths since he was the second person who was kind to me.
Coldness keep my eyes alert to the path and my body shuffling forward. Eventually we arrived to another cavern that blew my mind with a random and unexpected wonder.
A fusillade of smoke puffs bounced around clear quartz walls, which sparkled and glowed with rainbow light. Our shoes left water ripple imprints across the smooth white marble with flecks of silver and fine streaks of gold. Holding up the cavern’s pure and sparkling white ceiling were stoic greystone columns, baring carved reliefs of our gods and goddesses. Letters of silver light moved their names and titles around their images, bringing their godliness into the light.
“Goddess Zin. Reviver of Souls ,” I bravely whispered with reverence and a bow before the gleaming jewelled eyes of Zin’s snake acolytes.
“Lord Dan. Glory Be Our Almighty God of War.” I bowed before the realm’s lion-faced champion adorned in gold, red and silver armour, and riding a chariot through a litter of cowering demon creatures with a strong tall stance full of pride and honour.
“Lady Anwar . Strength in Forgiveness.” My heart felt at peace by the modest image of the robed goddess and her rose petal and raspberry leaf crown.
The henchmen was keen to keep us moving through the cavern. I felt a sad longing in my heart when I bade the gods of The Zone farewell as we approached a gigantic set of double steel doors that ground to an open before us.
A morbid and dreary way was before my eyes again. @@
