Reborn princess: I will change my ill-fate - 157 Chapter 157.
She wanted to take off her hood of her cloak at least, but there were people passing by and she didn’t want to risk to reveal her identity. Well, the people this far didn’t know her identity, but its better to be sad than sorry.
Moreover, she was sure, the enemies would recognize her. If they were going to attack her, then they must know her, or at least her face or something. So, she refrained herself from taking off her hood.
“When will we reach the city?” Aeinshia inquired the guards accompanying her. Surprisingly, it was Oliver’s deep voice that answered to her question. “We would be there in about few minutes. The citizens are increasing, the city is very near.” He informed.
To be honest, Aeinshia was bit startled she he spoke. She was used to only warm voice of George and the honey voice of Sana, so the cold voice startled her. The nervousness that was increasing in the pit of her stomach, as they approached the city, increased her ability to recognize smallest of the things.
Aeinshia composed herself and looked forward and noticed the citizens were passing by to do their tasks. City Sylter was surrounded mostly by nature. It was more or less in between the forest. That was the reason, Aeinshia’s mother, Beatrice, liked this city very much.
The population in the City was also not much. Mostly of 100 to 150 families took shelter here. And, the mansion of the royals, which was built for the Princess Beatrice of the Seqzle, was situated on the far end of the starting border of the city.
Originally, there was temple situated on the mountain, that the villagers preserved, seeing that as a protector to them. Eventually, her mother, took a liking to the city and made attempts to develop the city further.
Princess Beatrice also, cleared the path and made a good path up to the temple, so the villagers wouldn’t struggle much. The mountain which had the temple on its peak, almost, was totally renovated in a way.
The nature was not depleted, by more color was added to it. Princess Beatrice planted many flowers and colorful trees on the trail to the temple, making it eye pleasing for the travellers to the temple.
The word soon spread of the colorful mountaina and many people, started to visit the small City Sylter. Soon, the city was able to serve as a tourism site, especially in the autumn. The mountain would bath in the mixed colors of red, gold, pink and greens.
As they reached, the borders of the City Sylter, the guards assigned by the Palace, who were guarding stood up and bowed, when they saw the Royal Seal on the Horses. The guards too had a unique Royal Seal, on their armors, signifying their importance.
George came up to them and informed the guards about the arrival of the Princess Aeinshia from the capital. They took the caution of rearranging their position, so that Sana, who was in Princess’ robes, was the center of them. They had to put up a front that, she was the princess.
Aeinshia and Oliver were beside each other, behind Sana, while George was still conversing with the guards. When he was finished, the guards lined up at in front of the horse of Sana, and muttered their greetings.
“Welcome to City Sylter, Your Highness, Princess Aeinshia Rutz. We are glad that this time along, we have the opportunity to extend our hospitality to your highness, like every year. We will work hard to your stay here, as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Please, step into the borders.” The burly man, who seeemed to be the main guard, spoke out, diligently.
Sana had her face covered and just nodded as an acknowledgement and gestured her hand towards George, saying to lead their way forward. For once, Aeinshia was glad that, she always wore something to hide her face, whenever she is out of capital.
She didn’t want to show out her face. Somehow, the idea of revealing her face didn’t seem like fun to her. So, she made sure, on all her visits her face was thoroughly covered. Sometimes, only her eyes showing, when she wanted to visit some famous local stores of the places, she visits.
The guards, who lined up the entrance border, kept on bowing for the ‘Princess Aeinshia’s’ welcome and honor. Oliver and Aeinshia, trailed behind the two. While they were proceeding towards the Royal house built, at the end of the City, Oliver took the liberty of the silence to whisper to Aeinshia.
“Your Highness, are you alright?” Oliver managed to whisper, without getting into much suspicion from the others. Aeinshia, who was paying attention to her surroundings, jumped a bit, and breathed out in relief when she realized it was Oliver.
“I’m fine.” She muttered and cracked a smile towards him and got one in return, much to her surprise. They continued on their. But, they still had to pass the difficult stage of their journey.
To get to the Royal House, which was built at the foot of the mountain, on which the temple is located, precisely from where the journey of them, going to temple would start, they had to cross the market place, which is in the middle of the City.
When they passed, as Aeinshia remembers, the citizens and some of the guards, would stop their works and bow to the Royal, who was pass in thought the streets. The streets would be cleared, so that they could pass by easily.
“Long live Seazle empire! Long live Princess Aeinshia!” The cheers were heard in the market place. Those always managed to place a smile on Aeinshia’s face. They didn’t know what their Princess looked like, but they cheered for her long life.
It was genuine. She could feel it. They were genuine and heart felt wishes. And, she sincerely appreciated and grateful to all of them. But, her smile faltered, when she realized, some people among the cheers, would have hate towards her or the Royal Family.
She believes, that particular hate was the reason, why that incident happened to her. Well, she learnt, love and hate could make a person, do anything. It maybe be crossing the limits, or doing something, that would be unfair, but as they said, everything is fair in love and war.
Aeinshia was lost deep in her thoughts and the cheers were now fading out, as they were approaching the outskirts of the city. The city was more developed to the other side, where the houses and and other buildings were built.
The Royal House was built to be in isolation from people, because Princess Beatrice, appreciated the quietness of the place she lived and loved to be surrounded by the nature. The citizens were told of the wish, and they surprisingly, till today, respected the wish of the late princess of the Seazle and didn’t built any houses near or in the path of the Royal House.
Aeinshia guessed that the City Sylter’s people were thankful to her mother, that she was the reason for their development and the place became a tourist attraction, because the mountain trail was replenished with her taste.
They were out of the market place and proceed in towards the Royal House’s trail, when an old man along with a small boy, suddenly came and leaned infront of them, forcing them to stop their horses on sudden apperance of the people.
…..
“What is all this? Can’t you imbeciles keep track on the simple things? We didn’t place you all near and in the Palace, for hearing such things. You know what would happen, if this plan fails?” An angry, deep voice, let out through gritted teeth, boomed inside the dark room.
The person to whom the voice belonged, turned around and slammed their fist straight in the wall, followed by a cracking sound. This startled the kneeling guard, who had delivered the news. He gulped not knowing, if the crack sound was breaking of the wall, or cracking of the angry person’s knuckles.
This tense atmosphere was cut by a light chuckle, “You worry a lot. They think we are fools, but we aren’t what we look. The plan will go as we expected. Just wait and watch. It would be so much fun, to watch them fail, thinking that they are some geniuses to outsmart us. The fun will now begin.”
