Reborn princess: I will change my ill-fate - 161 chapter 161.
Their horses were a little restless, as they didnt have their chance to quench their thrist. So, all of them decided that it would be better if they hurry on their journey.
They were following the same pattern with George in the very front and Oliver at their rear end, with the ladies in middle. But, seeing the tree branches were little longer this time, the road was unexpectedly narrow, so they had to travel in a line.
They just started to go on the path, when Aeinshia’s horse brownie, let out a distressed cry of some soft snort and began to slow its steps. This caused Aeinshia and Oliver, who was behind her to slow down.
Aeinshia frowned and patted the brown mane of her beautiful but stubborn horse. She know the reason for the distress and she couldn’t help but feel a bit sympathetic. Sana noticed what was happening and slowed down.
Aeinshia smiled weakly at Sana. On one hand, she was getting agitated as she was nearing the destination and on the other hand, her horse was about to have a temper tantrum.
Now, that Brownie was throwing the temper tantrum, the other horses were also getting agitated. Aeinshia sighed when she saw this. But, her mental condition right now was not exactly at its best.
She was nervous, scared and literally wanted to take a detour to the Palace and just hide there and never come out. But, there was no turning back now.
Maybe it was her nerves or something, but now she was feeling a bit dizzy.
Oliver, who observed the horses needed to be refreshed spoke out, “I think they need some more rest. Or having water could help them get great.” Oliver said, hinting that Aeinshia should tell them the direction to the lake she was talking about.
But, as said, Aeinshia was not in the right mind to process anything in her surroundings, so she kept quiet, while patting the mane of her brown horse.
Oliver felt a bit awkward from his words hanging in the air, without any response, so he looked at the other two guards for help. Sana took pity on the blond man and decided to speak out, “Your Highness, Princess, can you tell us the direction of the lake you mentioned earlier. The horses seem impatient now. It would be a hassle to control them, later.”
Sana was always good with words. Speaking softly, with a genuine intention of never to hurt others. She was careful of how she was talking and carefully picked her words. She was soft and sweet, but a warrior with a force to be reckoned with.
Sana in a battlefield and against the enemies, is never a good sight to see. She is a fierce fighter and doesn’t believe in giving mercy, for betrayal.
They all nodded, but now the problem is they can’t go to the said lake, while mounting the horses. The path was filled with wet mud and the trees were thick as they move further. So, the only option was to walk the horses.
“Uh….I think we should walk the horses from here. It would be lot of work to get them there, while they whining like this.” George trued to lighter up the environment. Aeinshia just nodded and got down from her horse.
It was decided that the men, George and Oliver would be taking the horse to have their fill, while Aeinshia would be in Sana’s care. Aeinshia stood there mindlessly and looked around her.
She was enveloped in the greenery of the nature and the fresh earthy smell, with misty scent, that she deeply inhaled was calming her nerves a bit. She saw around and stopped a rock, so she could sit and rest for while. She was feeling dizzy and was afraid she was going to faint, if she keeps on worrying like this and now, she was feeling a bit nauseous.
As she sat, her neck craned towards the blue sky and the angry hot rays of the afternoon sun. Her eyes closed instinctively. when she faced the bright rays shining down in her. She blinked her eyes open slowly and with her neck still craned upwards, her eyes roamed around.
When they fixed on something, that she saw, her ocean blue eyes opened wide and fear could be clearly seen in them, making them darker shade and the pure horror was now clouding her mind.
Sana who was standing and pacing around the area, while fixing her royal dress, took a notice of the horrified princess and was immediately concerned. She scanned the area, for any threat, but didn’t find find anything.
Then, her eyes followed the line of sight of where the Princess’ oceanic eyes were looking with fear. In an elevation, maybe they coudl reach there by taking a diversion from the main path, was a cave.
It was distant to see from here, but she clearly make out the darkness that was surrounding it and the cave enveloping it. She then, looked at Aeinshia, who was still frozen on the rick she was sitting.
Sana didn’t get it. She was observing, well not really, but whenever she checked up on the princess, she was always lost in her thoughts or would in fear of something. So, much that she would loose the sense of her surroundings and just go on.
Sana couldn’t understand what made the princess to have such fear and dilemma. If she had any problem the royals could solve it in a snap of their hands. Then, why was she like this.
Also, the most mysterious thing she ever did was this journey of accompanying the princess. The capital was in a lockdown, due to the alerts from the enemies. It was reported that the Palace, too had infiltrators among them, so the security was as high as when there was a war happening.
The Generals and Dukes were actively traveling around to strength their ties with their allies and to solve the problems in the Seazle empire, to solve the riots among the people.
In midst of all this, the princess’ yearly journey to the City Sykter was rather odd. Yes, the princess had a sentiment of visiting the place yearly, but wasn’t like it was safe to travel in times like this, when the enemy was attacking them from all directions.
When the Emperor, called her along with George and Oliver, explaining then their new mission of assisting the princess to City Sylter, they all had these thoughts, but didnt voice them out. And, now Sana was as concerned as ever for the princess.
She had a feeling that something was going to happen in this journey. That’s was the main reason why she keeps on checking upon the princess.
Sana’s thoughts were now as deep as ever, as she thought about how thus was rather odd and the unsettling feeling in her chest was disturbing. And, to top it all, her eyes were feeling droopy and she was feeling a little. it dizzy.
Sana shook her sharply, trying to get rid of the sudden sleep and dizziness and also, the thoughts and doubt’s that plagued her mind. It was not her concern. She was assigned a mission by the Emperor and it was her duty to complete it with sincerity and dedication.
That’s it. No more thoughts should be involved. She had no right to interfere in the things of royal family. She was a mere personal guard of the Emperor’s troop.
As she thought that, she saw the Princess coming out of her horrified state of mind and shifting around, rather uncomfortably. Sana was about to ask the princess about her condition, despite knowing the answer she would, when a a conversation flooded to her eardrums.
“I’m feeling sleepy. I didnt get good rest last night. I hope I would be able to control myself.” George’s voice floated in the air.
“Don’t worry. We will dump you down the hill, if you fall asleep. You can calmly rest here with the greenery surrounding you. You like it, don’t you?” Oliver’s deep voice can be detected, followed by a soft neighs from the horses, but it seemed a bit faf away than George’s.
“Hey man! You know me so well. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure, you will also, experience the wonderful of feeling of resting along with me.” George spoke and his laughter filled the area, the voices increasing as they were approaching the ladies, who were waitign to move forward.
Soon, Sana could see them coming out of the thick tree paths. George was the leading one, clutching reigns of two horses. He smiled when he saw Sana, “The pond is beautiful! You should see it! It was unreal. I wish I could capture and show it to everyone.” He said and diverted his gaze yo Aeinshia, who was smiling looking at him.
“Thank you so much, your highness. It was becuase of you, that I got to see such a beautiful place. Thank you, your highness.” He bowed and Aeinshia chuckled at the buff man’s cute words and sweet smile.
“I’m glad you enjoyed it.” Aeinshia said and looked at her horse. “I think we should proceed now. I’m a bit tired, so I want to complete this as soon as possible.” Aeinsia said, rubbing her temples, that were slightly throbbing and mad ever way towards Brownie.
If only they knew, why were they feeling sleepy and dizzy out of nowhere.
