Reborn princess: I will change my ill-fate - 172 chapter 172.
She shook her head slightly as the smell was overwhelming her. She felt like passing out on the spit, but she couldn’t. She couldn’t risk herself by passing out here. She had a task to accomplish. She had to get out of these bastards’ hands.
She had to save herself from these people and then, she would happily pass out. She was figuring out a way to get out from under the big man, who was now resting on top her, lifeless.
Now that she remember, she began to wonder about the forces they initially planned to aide for her safety. Yes, she isn’t a fool to walk directly into the fires pit with only three people to protect her, knowing very well that they were people waiting to attack her.
She lured the enemy to attack her, creating a scene, by limiting only three people to protect her, indirectly letting their guard down.
Her back up plan, she passed orders to send forces after she departed for her journey to city shelter. Those guards might have set their journey later, after sometime of Aeinshia departed, to not to let her enemy doubts arise and at the same time to keep their movements and plans as silent as possible.
She knew, even after spreading the rumors about Felix joining in the journey, if her enemy tried to attack her, it means either the enemy didn’t give a da*n thought about the Rutz household power, which means their target is not solely her, but the entire Rutz household.
If that’s the case, in her past life, every event happened on her life might also be their call, and successfully ended up ruining the entire Rutz dukedom. The more she gave in to her thoughts into these matters, the more she is scared and made her wonder wether her head might begin to split apart.
Now, all her concern was on about her back up plan, she bought enough time and they need to be here already, but she couldn’t see why they weren’t here yet, which made her think whether they were took down by the enemy.
She was sure, the guards who will soon join her for protecting were not so weak, yes, might not be as strong compared to the guards who joined her before, in terms of combat and swordsmanship. But they weren’t that weak too, keeping the fact in mind that, they were the guards of Imperial palace.
She wasn’t understanding anything that was going around her. She could hear some clanking sound around her. But, her brain was too mushy to recognize anything.
Aeinshia groaned as the weight on her small body was too much. She grunted, as she tried to move the body, but the heavy weight wouldn’t budge. Aeinshia tried to crawl from underneath from the man, than to lift him off of her body.
The clanking of the swords suddenly came near her and with a swoosh of air, a loud sound rang near her head.
She looked towards side slowly, with wide, scared and confused eyes. Her eyes were now even more wide, if that was even possible, after seeing what was the origin of the sound. She rubbed her both eyes vigorous, and only let them go, after she began to feel stinging pain in them.
She saw two figures. One of the man, who tricked them into following them inside the temple from back door, Nathan. She assumed he was the supposed leader of the troop, seeing he argued with her the most, with her little understanding left.
And the other one was… Peter? ‘What is he doing here? He is supposed to be with Evan, why is he here?’ She was thinking of that, while the two men fought. According to her plans, only the guards from Imperial Palace were supposed to come to protect her, and as much as she know, Peter’s duty is to always follow and aide Evan. Then how can he appear here out of nowhere? That too at the exact moment when she is being attacked?
Lots of questions began to drill inside her brain once again, and she felt dizzy because of her over thinking.
” Is this over thinking one of the effect of the drug, ” She thought inside her heart, as she couldn’t find energy to voice it out.
Peter blocked the flick of the sword towards the princess, when he noticed the other man was trying to kill her, while he was distracted in fighting with other black pawns. He was panting heavily, seeing as he rushed all the way here, to protect the princess.
When he followed the trail shown by the Emperor’s personal guards of where they had the princess, he hoped nothing bad happened to the Rutz princess and to the future wife, lover of his friend. Though, he was experiencing a twisting in his gut, he managed to reach the cave in shortest time possible.
The scene that he came to see when he reached his destination finally, made him see red. Some man was trying to touch the princess in an inappropriate manner. The pride of the Seazle, the fragile princess and flower of the Seazle empire was being touched in a way no one should touch her highness, except his friend.
Peter’s body acted on its own. He unleashed his little dagger that was on the other side of his waist band and shot it forward. The dagger went out of his hand at the speed of light and it went through the neck of the man who was forcing himself on the princess.
The dagger pierced into the nape of the man spilling the blood in all directions and it flowed down his back, some of it falling down from his side of his neck and dripping down onto Aeinshia’s front.
All of them, stilled for sometime when an unexpected weapon pierced onto their fellow mate’s neck. When they turned they saw an angry faced Peter, looking ready to take down as many men that come his way. This is the second time when he felt his blood boiling. Normally he is a jovial and easy going man. However, he is not what he is when he gets angry. The dare to touch his friends going to be wife, they must be courting death in his hands.
Peter unsheathed his mighty sword. that glistened as whatever light in the cave fell on it. The royal seal on the handle of the sword, which was golden was also showing its appearance, telling the enemies of his identity, making them alert.
The balck pawn gaurds sneered when they saw the royal seal on the sword and were ready to attack their enemy. All of them charged at once, onto the man, who was still standing on the entrance of the cave.
Peter silently went through the guards, his sword was the only one making the sounds, slicing easily through the skin of the enemies. Peter’s sword was covered in blood after taking down four men, who surrounded him, but not a single drop was visible on him. It’s a clean kill.
He was skilled like that. He may not be up to the mighty skill of Evan in the sword fighting, but he was definitely not the one to mess with.
He swinged his sword with expert moves and his sword did the job of wiping off the dirt the enemies to their empire caused. Nathan observed the unknown enemy killing all of his troops, and successfully ruining their plan.
Nathan gritted his teeth, when he saw the royal guard expertly killing his members. He at once knew that their plan was not going to be successful, so he did the only thing he could think of.
He glanced and saw Peter still involved with his men, so he took the oppurtunity and picked up his sword and marched towards the princess, who he saw was struggling to get away from the dead body above her. He decided to do something which was out of their plan.
