Reborn princess: I will change my ill-fate - 181 Chapter 181
The hunter, eyed his father in law, with pity, concern and sympathy. He was very much stunned when he got to know, that his father in law was the one, who helped the perpetrators with their plan, by giving fatal drug to princess and her personal guards.
But, what made him more angry was, the old man used his son, as a bait and form of sympathy to execute his plan. He couldn’t understand, why he did what he did. He could have gotten help from the guards or have simply told the princess, when they were passing.
That way, this whole situation could have been prevented. The princess could have been safe, along with his family being rescued. And, mostly, the old man could have escaped the name of traitor, for plotting against the Royal family.
He couldn’t help, but feel the disgust bubbling up inside him. He looked up to this man a lot. He may be his father in law, but he had taught him things like a father. He understands that the old man was desperate to save his daughter, but he could have at least used a bit of presence of mind, to escape the situation.
The hunter, softly shook his head and continued to see the scene unfold in front of him. Waiting to see what kind of punishment the princess intended to give his father in law. His mixed feelings towards the man, was making it hard for him to keep his emotions in balance.
He hoped, the princess, won’t be giving him some harsh punishments. Depsite, being disappointed in the old person, he was still the one, who gave him shelter and gave him tge responsibility to take care of his daughter, and taught him about world and how to make a living.
He held his breath, when the princess gave a very long pause. He was anticipating the worst, but till he knows the princess, he had a small hope that the punishment won’t be too extreme.
Peter stood there, behind Aeinshia, also waiting for the decision of the princess. He has never seen her take such decision, or any decision, matter a fact. He was never that close to the princess. They were like acquaintances, through their mutual connection, Evan.
This was the first time, they were talking for this long, without having Evan around. So, he was curious on seeing the princess in duty. The princess was going to be the next Empress of the Seazle empire and the every decision she takes from now, has a weight age on her future position.
Even the Emperor or the Crown Prince had the freedom, to choose their Empress. The council can give place an appeal for a change in Empress, if they feel the decision of the current Empress were too harsh or not up to the standards and in the good for the empire.
So, Peter was worried and excited at the same time to see the decision the princess was going to take. He didnt know what he was expecting, but his expectations were surely high.
Aeinshia sized up the old man in the arms of the guards, completely given up and at the mercy of her. She sighed, when she realized that the man would accept any punishment given to him.
She drew in a deep breath and let it out slowly. “You will banned forever to the temple. Till your death comes, you will be bound to the borders of the temple, up the mountain. You would not be allowed to go outside the temple, in any circumstances, except in extreme conditions.
You would serve the tourists and dedicate your whole life from now, to the temple surroundings. You will lead the life same as the priest of the temple. And, the most important thing….”
Aeinshia paused, while looking at the old man, whose head was still bowed down. This would be the last part of the punishment. “The most important part, you will not be allowed to meet any from the City. Not even your family. The people in your life from now, will be limited till the priests of the temple and the strangers visiting the temple.”
Aeinshia finished and the old man, suddenly snapped his head up to see the princess. His eyes filled with tears, at the thought of being away from his family. From being away from his beloved daughter, whose side he never left and being away from his little grandchildren.
Despite the tears and feeling of fear for being away from his family, the old man didn’t argue or gave any signs of resistance. He accepted the punishment. Aeinshia snapped her fingers, signalling the guards to take the man out of the Palace.
All of the guards inside and the people present in the outer hall saw as the two guards dragged the old man away. Aeinshia sighed out a heavy breath, after seeing the man being dragged away. Half of her plan was completed and now, the other part.
She turned around and saw the hunter eyes, still fixed on the door, from where the old man was dragged out. She understands the feeling of the feeling, that the man was facing. Even if he was traitor, the man meant something to the hunter, he was family and the pain from seeing yourself getting separated from your family, always hurts like hell.
She cleared her throat and looked at the hunter, who snapped out because of the loud voice and bowed towards the princess. Aeinshia softly and spoke, “Sir, I’m very thankful for the act of your bravery in saving me, from the enemies. You will receive a reward for protecting the princess of the empire.”
She stopped and the hunter rushed to bow and say out his words. “I’m glad that I was present at that unfortunate time, to protect your highness. As for the reward, I already received, by her highness sending royal guards to protect my family. There is nothing more important for me than to have my family safe. I’m very thankful to your highness, for being considerate to save my family.”
He spoke and Aeinshia brow twitched at his words. She had a plan in her mind and she doubted I tho man would accept to it.
“Sir, it is my duty as a Royal, to help the ones needs, especially if the request is right at my door. And, I think that you should be given a much high appreciation for your selfless and brave act.
I would suggest for you to proceed to the Capital with us. You can work in the Capital in a respectable position and make your family even more comfortable. This is the appreciation I want to give for saving my life.” Aeinshia spoke what she wanted to give the man as a reward.
She almost immediately saw the soft creasing lines on the forehead of the hunter, but he tried to cover it up, so ilas to not offend the princess. She internally smiled, knowing exactly, what the man was worried.
“You don’t have to worry about your family, Sir. Your family would be following you to the Capital. A house according to your taste would be provided do you residence and your children will receive quality and free education in the Capital. After all, your son also played an important role in warning me about the future storm and I want to extend my appreciation towards the little man, too.”
Aeinshia finished with a small smile in her face, remembering the little boy. He was such a brave little boy. She could the father, also, smiling in pride on the praise fro his son, from the princess.
“Please, don’t think as this as some kind of favors. Your family earned this. Your brave act and dedication towards the Seazle Empire, impressed me a lot. There is need for more people like you. That is the reason why I am doing this. I would hope, that you will accept this small token of reward for your actions.”
Aeinshia said, with finality in her voice, showing these were her final words towards the hunter. The man stood there stunned at the princess’ words. He could feel the tears at the end of his eyes, knowing the princess truly appreciated him and his act.
He didn’t do take that move to earn anything. He didn’t even know she was princess until the end. He didn’t expect he would receive this kind of reward from the Royal.
“I’m glad and very thankful that I received your recognition and impression, your highness. Not to mean any offense to her highness, but I would like to discuss this big step with my wife.” The hunter timidly asked, while bowing down low almost a 90°.
Aeinshia smiled at the thoughts of the hunter. She was even impressed and proud that the Seazle citizens, were this considerate towards their spouses, to involve them in their every big change in their lives.
“Definitely. I appreciate your thinking. But, be ready with your answer by tomorrow. We will be leaving to the Capital, tomorrow morning.” Aeinshia said and the hunter muttered a small thank you and bowed to her.
Aeinshia then turned around and walked into the inner main hall, to go rest in her chambers. All her works for today were done and she could finally rest in the warm comforts of soft mattress and fluffy blankets.
