Reborn princess: I will change my ill-fate - 189 Chapter
” My dear old Milo, didn’t you say you will fight against the future emperor for me. Then you will be marked as a traitor, then isn’t it only good for me to help you if that’s the case. Then without any skills, how can I help you? Think, ” She tactfully asked him
” Smart, ” Milo praised her for her spontaneous lie. Yes, he know, it’s a lie. How can this master, who is a master to many masters can’t detect a lie from some a little kid? He isn’t a fool and if he is really one, then he can’t be a master, training many knights and guards here.
Patting his back, she continued, ” Don’t worry. The younger generation always surpasses the old. Even if you can’t win against Evan, I will surely get you out of there unscathed, ” She grinned at him, as she flaunted her power and influence.
Milo gave her another blow, this time a little hard. He was surely angry because she lied, but more than that, he was more angry because of her underestimation of his skills.
” You lass. From next year, every time you visit cherry blossom palace, you will go through intense training session. Didn’t you say you have to save me, then you need to surpass me. Well, till you can’t outrun me, you are not supposed to call me grandpa, ok? I am trading my best techniques here, so it worths taking a chance,” He smirked as he made this deal with her. He not only made conditions in his favor, but also made sure to make her accept the deal.

‘ why do I feel this deal is in odd favour for me? ” Aeinshia thought, but in the end, she gave in and accepted his conditions. Milo laughed out loud.
Milo stood and turned around to take his leave. Before taking any footing, he spoke, ” Young lass, next time you come, let the crown prince tag along with you. I wish to see him personally and would check whether he truly is a match for you or not and I would have liked it if you allowed me to take care of those b*stards, don’t worry, Sir Peter is amazing in his job regarding silencing the whole incident, but you guys forgot that this is my place, nothing can be hidden from me if I wanted to know it, ” Saying that, he left before listening to her reply.
Aeinshia saw the retreating figure.
” What do I do? I even met the old man before I left. I still got lots of time in my hands. How come I don’t have any work to do? ” Aeinshia mumbled out, finding it boring and realizing there is no one else to speak with her now.
They still got a lot of time before their return trip.
….
While someone is bored, on the other side of the story, with Evan:
In an official house, at the East part of seazle empire:
Evan groaned, he was tired from all the journey. It had taken them a long time to travel here. They had traveled for a whole day, without any rest and the lack of information from Peter and Aeinshia, was making him frustrated.
He got up begrudgingly, muttering under his breath, on who dared to disturb his much needed sleep, but he knew someone important must have come at this time. No one else had the access to disturb the prince during his rest hours, unless an emergency or someone important were to knock on his door.
He opened his door and saw the sturdy man, the General, Albert Hendrel standing at his door. He bowed towards the older man, who in return bowed to him. “Your Highness, Prince Evan, I saw your room was still lit with lights, is everything alright? Do you need any assistance with something?”
General Hendrel asked with worried tone and Evan was immediate to shake his head. “Its nothing General Hendrel. I was just having trouble sleeping. I have been restless, thinking about all the things going around in the empire. I hope everything else is fine, in the Capital and at the borders.”
Albert’s eyes softened while hearing it. He could understand. He was also worried about all those things. He left his family in the Capital and though, there was communication, it is only general for everyone to get worried about their families, when you are going far away and the situations are unstable and anything could go wrong anytime.
“I understand what you are feeling and going through, your Highness. But, there is nothing in our control. We should concentrate on what’s in our hand.” Albert smiled at the Prince, which Evan returned, guessing what the General was talking about.
“What about you, General? Why are you up this late?” He asked the General. Albert smiled at the Prince. “I was up with the same worries and decided it would be good to take a stroll around the house, to check the situations and safety. I also, went through the letters and messages sent by the government officials here, about what exactly is happening.”
Albert said, and Prince frowned at this. “You should rest, uncle. We have to get up early tomorrow, to go into the city and investigate and to hold discussions. It would be tiring for you. You should have at least stopped at the stroll, reading all those would stress you further. At this age, you should be taking as much rest you can afford.”
Evan voiced out his worries and Hendrel chuckled at his worries. And, he was also moved at the concern Evan was showing towards him. Evan may look like he is intimidating, but he actually cares who he respects and trusts.
“Son, I’ve been working like this since a long time. I can’t rest until the situation comes into our control. If the situation is out of control, there is always a risk of something going wrong and I can’t be resting and assured that everything will be alright. And, I’m quite offended, I’m never old to do this duty. I’ve done it all my life and I’m proud to tell, I’m good at my job. Don’t come at me.”
Albert tried to joke, to break the awkward and tight atmosphere they were surrounded by. Evan laughed out, listening to this and Albert joining him, happy that he made the Prince happy.
“I’m not coming at you uncle. Just worried about you. Besides, you said you read the letters and messages, what were they saying exactly.” Evan inquired. The sleep don’t come to him now, he knew, might as well concentrate on work for a while, than staring blankly at his ceiling and going mad with the thinking of possibilities and overthinking.
Albert snapped into his serious mode when the topic came up. “Nothing is going right. We came here to convince the citizens that we, the followers of the Capital, were and will always by their side. But, the officials already have asked about this to the citizens and they were not ready to listen to anything.
They have made a claim, that they want to be independent from the Capital and the Emperor and his government should never involve with their state. Basically, they want to be an independent state like City Belgonia, taking their own decisions. They no longer want to be under our Royal government. They went as far as to burn down the government buildings and even the government officials homes. One can’t compare city belgonia with the east part. That is just an individual city in the middle of seazle empire, but this is an entire part of an empire.
The situation is quite serious that we think, Your Highness. The citizens are absolutely not ready to listen to any of our claims. I doubt, our first meeting would go smoothly. It would take everything to convince them to stop all this and stay under our government. The East has the coast and we can’t make this independent state. A lot of security issues would arise from this decision.”
Albert explained to Evan, who was continuously nodding his head, when he listened why they shouldn’t let the East be independent.
The East had the coast, the sea. The most of Seazle empire’s revenue came from the trade through the sea. So, giving it independence, means retreating their Royal troops from the coast. This would give an open into the enemies to come into the Empire, through the sea route and attack on them easily.
