Reborn princess: I will change my ill-fate - 191 chapter
Aeinshia was suddenly taken aback with the question thrown towards her, but she recovered from the initial shock and looked at the fidgeting man before her. She has never seen Peter looking like this. For some reason, he was acting nervous in front of her.
She wondered if she came of as intimidating, but then she figured out, he never had a problem to speak to her earlier. Or in their earlier days when they were with Evan. Then she understood, maybe he didn’t know how to act infront of her?
Its always like this. They would not interact with each other out of the professional things. Peter would always talk with Evan about the works or information and Aeinshia would be in sidelines of their conversation, just listening. They would just greet each other whenever they come across.
Some other times, Aeinshia would inquire peter about Evan’s whereabouts and vice versa. They were not close, let alone, they cannot even be called friends truly if one observes them closed.Acquaintances, yes that would the appropriate term for them. With Evan as their mutual connection.
She brushed off all these thoughts and looked at Peter, to answer the question. This might be the start of their friendship. She smiled warmly, but it came out as a mixture of tiredness and gentle smile.
Peter instantly felt guilty after realizing he had stopped the princess from going for a rest. He was not supposed to ask the question, but the earlier expression of gratitude towards him from the princess, made him think that he can ask her anything.
Well, he thought they can be good friends, after today. He could’ve just asked the question of all time but now, but his curiosity was much bigger, so his mouth slipped up the question. He didn’t had any intentions to stop the princess from resting.
He was about to say his apologies and assure the princess, it was nothing of importance and tell her to return to her chambers for a rest, but, Aeinshia interuppted him.
“I don’t really know how I took the decision, but I think I had considered all of his possibilities. I already decided to ask the hunter, who saved me, to move to the Capital. And, this old man would get the punishment at the Capital.
But, then everyone in the capital would be aware of the fact, that the old man was their family member and out of all, you know how they treat a prisoner’s family. I wanted to give their family a new place and a new chance to grow, and taking this old man there and giving punishment, would make it worse and turn their beautiful drew of future in to nightmare.
The reason of banishing him to the temple is because, at this age, he won’t be able to survive on the streets without any jobs or the people humiliating him. And, I certainly don’t want him to kill himself. In the temple, the servers get food and shelter to survive.
He only needs to serve the God, which I believe is apt do his age and to pay for his sins. Tho all isn’t his punishment to be truthful, the actual ounishment that I gave him, is that he would be staying away from family for the rest of his life.
I knew at once, when i saw them earlier, that he hasn’t been away from his daughter’s side. for long and that was his only family. He practically raised that family and taught the hunter his job. His eyes screamed that fact and the way the hunter was looking at him, with worry and fear.
So, figured, the only thing, that would bring Lian and make him resent his sins, is by taking away his only family from him. So, I did exactly that. Yes, his reason may not allow me to give him execution as a punishment, but he is a traitor to the Empire, so he should get punishment.
Neither his reason to commit crime and nor his crime should be foreseen, so I figured that would be the good way to punish and man him realize and pay for his actions. I dont know if it was the best reasonings, but I tried my best to give justice, according to the actions my citizens had shown.”
Aeinshia completed her little speech of reasoning behind her decision and took a deep breath. She didn’t realized that she was too involved in it, that she was moving her hands wildly earlier. Her tiredness all washed away and it was only her enthusiastically speaking to Peter, about her decision.
She has to admit this fact, that she honestly, didn’t know, if this was the best decision. So, she tried her best to explain the origins of her thoughts, so that she can get a feedback about it. If she didn’t do good, then at least she could learn from it.
And, Peter seemed to have no filters, whatsoever, so she thought he was the best person, to talk and take advice’s from. After all, he closely followed Evan and the Emperor and took many classes about the politics and about this matters, so he would know if it was right or partially right or downright wrong.
Shee glanced up to look at Peter, who was practically beaming with happiness and pride written on his face. Aeinshia wasn’t sure, why and what was he so happy about. She thought, it was not for her. But, there were no one around, so what he exactly that happy about?
Peter was proud and happy. He didn’t know why he was feeling like this, but he did. He always feels like this, when Evan takes some good decision or announce his derivations about any situations to others.
And, now he was proud in the same way. for the princess. He figured out, because he felt the same way towards her as he feels towards Evan. A friend. He already thinks of the princess as his friend. He wasn’t sure, if she wants to be his friend, but he definitely wanted to be.
When he saw the confused expression of the princess, he began to speak, as his expression was not the best expression at that time.
“I’m proud of your highness. I didn’t know how much thought you put into this decision and honestly, it makes my heart swell with pride. I always feel like this, when I see Evan taking decisions do that Empire. And, now that I see you in action, I can surely and certainly tell you, that you and Evan are perfect couple and would together grow to lift the empire to new heights.
I really look forward in working with you both, when you take over as Emperor and Empress. I can see the Seazle Empire, will flourish in your reign.”
Peter spoke, not caring about how his words were coming out. They were pretty informal, but his emotions prevented him from noticing the thing. Aeinshia blushed a bit from the compliments peter was giving her. Actually, her face was now a pink shade, when she heard her and Evan as Emperor and Empress.
Then, she noticed the pretty informal tone that Peter used with her. He wouldn’t normally speak like that to her. Even, when she requested him to call her by her name, he maintained the formal kind of words with her.
But, seeing as he was using many informal words with her, she figured out, he had settled into a friendly place with her. And, she was was happy that Peter was getting comfortable with her.
And, in some situations she thought, that friends phase between them is needed. She knew, after the coronation of Evan as an Emperor, he would definitely appoint Peter with some higher position and Peter absolutely deserves it.
When, their generations starts to take over the empire, they should get along and with Evan as their mutual, they should get along well. And, Aeinshia saw this as an opportunity to make this friendship.
“That’s nice of you, peter. I’ve been thinking to ask you from long time. We get along really well, today made me realize that, so I suggest, we move like friends from today onwards. Its high time, we become friends, we know each other from long time and only behave like some distant relatives, despite being around each other.”
Aeinshia laughed out at her words and Peter became red from the words. He was flustered.
