Reborn: The Lion To Hunt The Wolf - Chapter 201
Su Yunyin’s eyes flickered to the person lying on the pool of blood. Based on his outfit, she recalled seeing him talking to Jing Zhe before entering the club.
Sensing his sister’s anonymous expression, Su Jain-Rong touched her shoulder: “Jie Jie?”
Su Yunying shook her head and sighed: “Sometimes the most clever thing to say is nothing at all.”
On the other side, Jing Zhe was trying to turn the turntable over, yelling and crying.
“You think we’ll believe just anything you say? Are you stupid? We understand law too and we know that evidence is the most important. You were caught red-handed, so it’s not just a matter of you being innocent just because you’re saying that. Don’t try to bluff through this,” Nan Heng clearly said.
However, Su Yunying’s clear voice ranged with an inquiry: “But where is Miss Yue? She hasn’t appeared amidst this commotion.” She had a look of confusion on her face but deep inside it hid wickedness.
She continued: “It’s hard to believe that she lost track of the room. Where did you meet her last time Young Master Nan? I don’t want her to meet any danger in an unknown place.”
Though jealousy and resentment entangled furiously in her heart, her face was as pale and tender as a budding white lotus, as if displaying sincere care for others.
Nan Heng frowned his brow as he found the tone of Su Yunying was hinting on something. “She went after her Cousin.”
“That’s weird. Did the Yue Cousins get misdirected or… did they leave?” She raised her brow.
That arouses suspicion among the police and the crowd.
…
Right then, Yue Xue appeared with a tensed face with some security guard following her: “What’s going on here?”
Seeing her partner in crime alone, Jing Zhe knew Yue Wan fled the club. Based on Yue Xue’s replay the whole game can be turned around.
“Xue Xue! Xue Xue!” Jing Zhe cried in a pitiful voice clutching the rag and moved toward her in a fainting motion.
Yue Xue quickly caught her before she could kiss the ground.
“Zhe! Why are you like this? What happened?”
“Xue Xue, save me. Save me!! Your cousin….. Sh..she…she tricked me coming here and…. and… Kill…..wuuuuu!!”
She buried her face in Yue Xue’s embrace and cried miserably that made others pity her.
With a little hiccup, Jing Zhe revealed in a soft and hoarse voice: “I received a message that Miss Yue was in trouble. So I came to help her, but she knocked me down and staged her crime in my head. Now she is nowhere to be seen.”
Yue Xue could scarcely muster the bitter smile on her face. She wanted to help Jing Zhe, but couldn’t utter a single word.
Following that there was no reply from Yue Xue, so Jing Zhe looked up and found her pals’ expression odd. “Xue Xue? Don’t try to hide her crime. Though you are cousins, she is a criminal and murderer, she needs to be hanged before the just..”
“Ms. Jing! You know I can sue you badly for slandering my name,” a crystal clear voice emerged behind Yue Xue.
Yue Wan appeared with a clean look, her eyes were sparkling crystal clear.
Jing Zhe was completely floored looking, Yue Wan.
Su Yunying looked at Yue Wan who was all burningly elegant, magnificently classy, overwhelmingly dominant!
A sense of resentment and viciousness arose in her heart uncontrollably, so much so that she had to sink her own sharp nails into the tender flesh of her palm in order to keep her emotions under control.
“Slandering or not. The truth will be out sooner or later, Young Miss Yue.” Su Yunying deliberately revealed her origin to drag Yue Wan into the mess.
A gush of coldness filled Yue Wan’s eyes as she looked over to Su Yunying, the edge of her lips curling up into a half-smile which made one have goosebumps. “You will be disappointed.”
Jing Zhe looked at Yue Wan with a glare full of hostility. “Young Miss Yue… must you destroy me like this for jealousy? I know that you are the perpetrator, so you better accept your crime before the law.”
“Miss Jing we are asking the questions here so don’t slander others without proof,” a policeman reprimanded her as they feel troubled over her attitude and turned to ask Yue Wan. “Ms, where have you been all along during this time frame?”
Yue Wan gazed at Yue Xue and gave a smirk: “After our new room was organized, I went to search for my cousin as she didn’t know the direction of our new room. I was with her this entire time.”
The police officer looked at Yue Xue: “Is it true Miss. Yue?”
Jing Zhe was confused, she clasped Yue Xue’s arm tightly. Her eyes rapidly fogged up, and, with a gentle blink, a clear drop of tear fell across her cheek, as she bit down firmly on her lip, looked at Yue Xue pitifully, yet couldn’t utter a single word.
However, with things developing as such, Yue Xue stared at Yue Wan’s foreboding expression, however, there was also a bȧrėly discernible sense of disdain in it.
“That’s right.”
Jing Zhe’s face lit with happiness, but after hearing the next sentence it darkened…
“Cousin Wan met me at the hall while I was searching for my acquaintance. She was with me the whole time.”
Yue Xue’s hands, which were hidden away in her sleeves, were curled up tightly into fists. She couldn’t lie as there was CCTV proof that Yue Wan was with her. Other than the CCTV in this section, everywhere was working normally: ‘Sh*t’
“Did something happen?” Yue Wan inquired.
The policeman explained. “A man was killed in this room and this young Miss was telling us that you were the one who asked her to come here. Do you know this man? Why are you here?”
Just then, the stretcher was taken away from the room before everyone.
“I have no idea who this man is!” Taking a glance at the man’s face, Yue wan replied.
She then proceeded: “Miss Jing organized this party and I just came along to give my Cousin some company. I don’t know why she is slandering me.”
Before the police officers even had a chance to reply, Jing Zhe had rushed to speak, “Wasn’t it you who called me to come to room A05?”
Since Yue Wan had a perfect alibi that Jing Zhe switched her accusation.
Meng Jia raised her eyebrow, and mockingly said, “Did you not just say that she messaged you? Why have you suddenly changed your words?”
“Shut up!” Jing Zhe quickly rebutted, her tone no longer cordial.
Why the b*tch is making things harder and harder?!
The police officers’ expressions changed, and they grimly stared at Jing Zhe.
“I don’t understand what you mean, but I didn’t have my cellphone with me in the first place. My cousin took it with her to make an urgent call.” Yue Wan said, raising her brows at Yue Xue.
Jing Zhe’s eyes trembled, her expression changed completely, and she anxiously looked towards Yue Xue with hope. ‘Save me! Please save me!’
Yue Xue was held in with little hesitation. She took Yue Wan’s phone as a precaution in case she was contacted by HIM. And due to chaos, she didn’t have the time to dispose of it. If the police searched her that it would be a big problem.
So, in order to avoid being suspected, she could only pass the phone to the police officers not before sending dagger holes at Yue Wan’s smirking face.
After checking it was indeed Yue Wan’s phone, the police officers ordered Jing Zhe: “Ms, please hand over your phone for us to check.”
Jing Zhe’s expression was flurried because her phone had undeniable evidence of her planning to harm Yue Wan.
If the police search the room and find her phone then the last caller’s name could be revealed.
Jing Zhe flew into a greater rage and pushed Yue Wan: “B*tch it was you who did it? I’m innocent! You killed someone and framed me!”
Her feelings of anger and resentment towards Yue Wan exploded. She raised her hand to slap her across her face.
Catching her wrist tightly, Yue Wan’s eyes immediately turned cold–not only were they icy, but ruthless.
“The words you say are obviously contradictory. If I killed this man why are there no bloodstains on my dress? You keep saying that I did it, but where is your evidence? If you want to push the blame on someone, you should find some evidence first!….
