Reborn: The Lion To Hunt The Wolf - Chapter 211
Tearing the magazine apart, Yue Yeager sneered: “Jealousy!! Did he look his face in a mirror? After being jailed he didn’t learn his lesson. Look now…. he is trying every means to get revenge on my daughter, be it by lying, bribing, or misleading others with fake gossip. His whole family loves to act behind the scenes.”
Shaking his head, Yue Xiang’s cold voice stated, “Roaring out your anger or cursing at him now is pointless. I feel that there is a tacit understanding between him and the First Elder with this engagement. Thanks to Little Wan’s advice, we’ve already drawn a line between us and them right from the start.”
Yue Yeager said profoundly with his nose up in the air: “Of course Little Wan is like me, who got greater foresight and judgment than anyone.” Patting his daughter’s head, “I believe you have the ability to counterattack this, Wan.”
“Daddy…” Yue Wan teared up. This was the real affirmation that she wanted to receive from him in her past life.
Yue Xiang smiled looking at them, but his next words destroyed the atmosphere: “Don’t hurt yourself too much thinking so hard with your little fried brain. Little Wan is like mom, from inside to out.”
Some cracking sound was heard from Yue Yeager.
Not minding their silly fight, Yue Wan inquired: “What is the situation of Jing Zhe?”
“Got bailed last night by someone from the Tang Family.” Yue Xiang took a sip of his coffee as he was exposed.
Yue Wan calmly placed the magazine down with a smirk and took a sip of her coffee: “Big Brother! Let’s visit the Xiao Family tomorrow.”
Yue Yeager noticed the change in her expression upon hearing about the Tangs, he burned paper inside for his Elder Xiao’s health: ‘She is going to use my teacher again!’
Yue Yeager’s face shot up in surprise: “What!! Why Xiao??”
“Two weeks before, Teacher Xiao invited us for lunch in order to show his gratitude. Due to Yue Wan’s exam, I kept it on the bay.” Yue Xiang said while poking little Bao’s full tummy with much satisfaction.
The food was simply too tempting for him. As a result, Little Bao’s stomach got bloated from holding too much food.
Soon he started to feel sleepy after having such a sumptuous meal, he could not keep his eyelids from shutting after a few audible yawns.
However, he was disturbed by his Meanie Uncle’s hard poking. Little Bao immediately puffed up his cheeks to complain before his mommy. Nothing good would happen whenever he ate before his Meanie Uncle. So he stared at his mommy glumly and pouted his little lips: ‘Mommy sleepy!’
The little lad’s cute act stole his mommy’s concentration. Taking him in her embrace she glared at her brother. “Can’t you give it a rest? Why are you so childish?”
Little Bao instantly rubbed his little head on her clothes and gave a smug look at Yue Xiang. ‘Huff Mommy loves me the most.’
Yue Xiang’s face twitched in annoyance. He wants to pinch this brat face. ‘Fatty! Let me teach some lessons to reduce your cholesterol.’
Right then Yue Wan’s phone rang. She picked it up: “Hello?”
Upon hearing what the caller said, Yue Wan quickly placed her half remaining coffee cup on the table, producing a loud and crisp sound along with some splashes.
“Right now. No problem. I will be there soon.”
Looking at her dashing move, Yue Xiang pondered: ‘Who is it?’
—-Shifting to the Chen Hospital—
Sitting in Mrs. Chen’s office, Yue Wan recalled what happened before.
As soon as she received the call from Mrs. Chen about the results, Yue Yeager bombarded her with a million questions.
Yue Wan tactfully explained to her father with an excuse and also gave her sleeping son into his embrace, not wanting him to be disturbed until she returned and then headed straight to the hospital with Yue Xiang tagging along.
Before entering the hospital, Yue Wan’s stomach grumbled, making her flustered and turn red with embarrassment.
Hearing that, Yue Xiang gave a small chuckle. Patting her head, he went to buy Yue Wan’s favorite dumplings and soy milk from a nearby shop and suggested that she go inside the hospital.
Having recognized her right away from her last visit, the receptionist allowed Yue Wan to enter Mrs. Chen’s Office without any formalities.
The nurse then entered the room behind her and gave her a file: “Miss Yue, The Chief Doctor told me to pass this as she was busy with another case. She also said that she could not attend to you now and requested you to call her to know more about the report.”
Taking the report, Yue Wan nodded in acknowledgment.
After the nurse closed the door, Yue Wan opened the file named “DNA Verification”. Although she didn’t have any medical knowledge like Tai Sun, she could still understand a bit about the DNA sequencing.
Yue Wan found the results to be normal at the beginning of the report, but soon her face turned as pale as a sheet. She had initially already prepared herself for the worst, however, she actually couldn’t take it at all.
Slapping the file in force, fear and terror emerged in her eyes: “Such a cunningness!”
The First Elder had been deceiving them for the past 20 years…
Grasping the report tightly, Yue Wan smirked: Yue Xue… nothing can be kept a secret anyway.
—-At the same time—
Jing Zhe’s heart was overwhelmed with a biting coldness. Rooted to the ground, she was unable to take a step. “Mom, do we really have to do this?”
Standing before the Chen hospital, Xiao Shen pulled Jing Zhe inside: “Zhe, you must remember that a woman’s innocence is the most important aspect of her life before marriage. In order to prove your innocence, we have to do this. There is no point in turning back after coming here!”
Jing Zhe took a deep breath and entered the hospital after much coaxing and explaining from Xiao Shen.
The reason they chose Chen Hospital was due to its reputation and the strong trust people had in its result. So the report from the Chen Hospital would be their nondestructive proof for Jing Zhe’s future.
At that time, Yue Wan stepped foot outside from the adjacent room.
Despite hiding the face, Yue Wan identified her by a single glance: “Fancy meeting you here, Ms. Jing.”
