Reborn: The Lion To Hunt The Wolf - Chapter 222
Following Yue Xiang, they came to a large training ground with a lot of equipment in it, but there were very few people here. It looked like a private training ground.
When those soldiers saw Yue Xiang and Yue Wan coming, they all stopped what they were doing. Even the instructor, who was standing in front of the group, came over and saluted Yue Xiang, who, in repose, nodded his head.
“What brought you here, General?” The instructor, a middle-aged man, asked. When he saw Yue Wan, his eyes lit up. “This is…”
Yue Xiang declared: “She is your new student and will train under you from now on.”
Instructor Zhao was taken aback. From Yue Wan’s appearance, he knew she was the Young Miss Yue. ‘What is the General thinking?’
Looking at Yue Wan, Yue Xiang explained: “This is your instructor. His surname is Zhao. You can call him Instructor Zhao.”
Yue Wan nodded her head. “Instructor Zhao, please take care of me.”
“Start her training from now on.” Yue Xiang said to the instructor then turned back, not before taking the basket from Yue Wan.
Being separated from his mommy, Little Bao turned his head back and forth between his mommy and the Meanie Uncle: ‘Shouldn’t I train with mommy?’
Understanding his dilemma, Yue Xiang’s face turned savage as he expressed in a cold voice: “You will be trained under me.”
Little Bao turned into ash with the sudden stuck of thundershock and was withering into the air: ‘Nooooooo!’
All the soldiers lit the candle for the poor cat in their hearts. ‘RIP, Little Soldier.’
At first, Yue Wan was trained to increase her physical strength. She needed to run 10 ŀȧps around the grounds. The sun was scorching hot today despite the winter month, but fortunately, the camouflaged uniform had long pants and long sleeves which would avoid sunburn.
The other soldiers on the grounds felt that she would give half-a-way, however, after two hours, their jaws dropped. Yue Wan had completed all 10 ŀȧps without stopping once.
Instructor Zhao’s lips curved up: ‘Not bad, young lady.’
“Alright, take a ten-minute break! We will star with the second class.”
One soldier quickly brought some bottles and a clean towel for Yue Wan. “Young Miss, don’t gulp down your water quickly. Just take small sips.”
“Thank you, sir.” Yue Wan reciprocated with gratitude.
Seeing this other soldier send dagger bullets to the gratitude guy for stealing their line.
After drinking lots of water, Yue Wan felt more comfortable. She then sat down to slowly regain her energy.
“Time’s up. Back to your position.” Instructor Zhao ordered the other soldiers, his eyes were burning with a little anger. How dare they steal his pupil?
The soldiers who were earlier dispersed and lazing around Yue Wan became like a flock of ducks in shock. Fluttering their wings, they resumed their positions at lightning speed. ‘Sh*t! Bulldog is angry!!’
“Lass, you take a ten-minute break. I will deal with those lazy pigs.” Instructor Zhao walked toward them with a fire burning in his gaze towards the soldiers who were shivered in fear: ‘Can we take a break too!!’
After her break, Yue Wan was trained strictly under Instructor Zhao. He carefully analyzed the limit of her strength and gave instructions to increase her stamina to overcome her weariness.
…..
Yue Wan let out a long breath as she returned back to her room, noticing that the time was almost 8 PM. As it was her first day, the instructor let her off early.
She had never been through such physical training before and was tired to the bones. By the time she returned to the room, she was exhausted and laid prone, listless on their beds.
Even though she had just finished the first part of the training, her whole body felt dead tired and was smelly. She was a neat and hygienic person, so despite the bone-numbing pain, she took a quick shower to wash away the sweat oozing from her body.
She soaked herself in the warm water, placed a facial mask over her dry face and shut her eyes for a bit.
When she opened them again, the water in the bathtub had turned muddy and smelly.
Looking at the murky water in the bathtub, she quickly drained them and washed her body again in warm water.
She sat in front of the dresser to dry out her hair. Due to her sudden training under the sun, her skin was dry and damaged. But the moisturizing facial mask helped her regain skin a bit.
After drying her hair out, she kept it back in a cupboard under the dresser. Just as she lifted her head back into the mirror, her eyes widened in shock.
On the reflection, there was a silhouette behind her.
——
The mini-scene with Little Bao training under Yue Xiang.
Yue Xiang carried the basket containing Little Bao away from Yue Wan and into the forest. Continuing deeper into the shadows of the trees, Yue Xiang found a spot that no sun could penetrate. Dumping the basket upside down, he watched dispassionately as the fluffy bundle fell awkwardly onto the ground. “Are you unaware that cats are supposed to land on their feet?” he asked his nephew sarcastically.
Little Bao got his feet under him and stood up, his hair standing on end as he started hissing at Yue Xiang. Mommy was not around, so a little defiance would be just fine. After all, he was not the helpless little cat that everyone ȧssumed he was.
“I know that you protected your mother from the shadows. Not only that time that we were in the car accident, but other times as well. The problem is, my darling little sister is getting into more and more trouble and at some point, a scarier monster than you will pop out of the shadows gunning for her. I will not let that happen. She is my everything, my precious little sister. I WILL protect her, but to do so, I need to train you.”
Little Bao looked at him, tilting his head as he studied Yue Xiang. He knew better than anyone what his Mommy went through, he would protect her better in this life than the last. Nodding his head regally, he agreed with Yue Xiang’s statement.
“Your training starts now. Run, hide, and fight from the shadows. Learn to become one with them so that you are the scariest thing in them. You are to learn to hide so that no one can spot you. Every time Yue Wan or anyone else sees you over the next 10 days, you need to skip a meal. Let’s see how fat you will be after this bit of training.” Yue Xiang’s lips curled up into an evil smirk as he looked down at the cat. “Time. Starts. Now,” he whispered. Before he could even finish the word, Little Bao disappeared right in front of his eyes.
Smiling to himself, thinking of the Ace up his sister’s sleeve, Yue Xiang turned around and walked out of the forest and into his office. ‘Time to start stirring a few pots of my own.”
(Editor can we make one more scene of Little Bao training hard under the devil) I don’t wanna !!!!!!! Evil author!!!!!!
