Reborn: The Lion To Hunt The Wolf - Chapter 234
While Elder Su was distracted, Su Yunying’s calm voice resounded: “I think Elder Xiao might have second thoughts over the agreement.”
Elder Su kept silent but his mouth dropped down into a frown.
Father Su was agitated after hearing her statement. His gaze turned icy: “Yingying! I warned you before to buŧŧer up the old man and enter the Xiao villa often to create a link. But you….”
Noticing Elder Su’s irritated gaze, Father Su could only suppress his indignation and secretly scowled at his father for being a pushover.
Elder Su was well aware of the number of women who had tried to climb into Elder Xiao’s bed during his younger days. It was simply wishful thinking for trash like them to even harbor such thoughts.
The Xiao members were merciful in their actions, and those women suffered just like how a dead pig would suffer… ripped apart before being discarded.
They simply had no intention of being protective of the fairer sėx, even if she was a princess from another country.
Su Yunying poured her grandfather a cup of tea as she softly continued to speak: “I saw that Princess Xiao was fond of the Young Miss Yue. She even mentioned that Elder Xiao was keen to invite the Yue family for lunch one day.”
Hearing that, Father Su’s eyes widened in shock, he tugged his Elder Su: “Father, you have to start making plans to let Yinying enter the Xiao family before others start on their own plans. This Yue family can’t be trusted.”
At the mention of the Yue family, Elder Su’s complexion turned sour. He looked at Su Yunying, who was the pride of the Su family. She looked skillful and bright, and his heart slowly grew excited.
However, the feelings were short-lived when the image of Yue Wan’s graceful and elegant demeanor during the Elder Xiao’s birthday party crashed into Elder Su’s mind.
Clenching his fist, Elder Su ordered: “Send someone to keep track of the Yue family’s actions.”
His trusted ȧssistant nodded his head and left the hall.
Su Jain-rong who was coldly looking at the internet message regarding Yue Xue and Li Rong had his face darkened, he clenched his jaw and sneered: “Grandpa, you’re thinking too highly of that Yue girl. She can’t even compare to one of my Jie Jie’s toes. It’s because Jie Jie was too kind and soft-hearted that Yue Wan stole the limelight during the Xiao’s party.”
Su Yunying was used to her younger brother throwing weight around and his crudeness. She had already set her heart on Xiao Hua the day that she knew he was alive. During her childhood stage, she used to admire him from far away and dreamed to be his bride one day.
After his death, she felt sad, but soon lost her interest in the Xiao family. For the past few years, she had searched for a man who could outmatch Xiao Hua’s charisma appearance.
It was unknown what kind of fear she had when Yue Wan appeared in her sight. However, with her close friends started harping about Xiao Hua all day long, she was resolute to become the mistress of Xiao.
Little did she know that the more resolute she was, the more of a face slap she was going to experience.
—Back at the Yue Military Base—-
In General Yue Xiang’s office.
When Yue Wan passed the documents to Yue Xiang, the latter was in disbelief. He lowered his head and read the report again and again. He asked in an elegant yet sinister manner, “Is this true? The [email protected] thing is real! How can this be possible?”
He was still in disbelief, and his face was twisted with disgust just by thinking about it. How could this be?
Yue Wan seemed to understand her Big Brother’s thoughts. She opened her mouth and said, “Everything is possible. A matching test has been done, and it is confirmed through the Chief’s analysis at the Chen’s Hospital. I feel that the First Elder had something to do with our Grandpa’s death too.”
Yue Xiang clutched the documents tightly. His grip was very firm, and his eyes were burning red with hatred. Thinking about Yue Wan’s birth mother, the animosity grew deeper inside his heart. “Little Wan, during our integration of Lu Jia before her death, she said something about mom’s death.”
Yue Wan’s heart tugged in pain, her eyes turned moist: “Big Brother, do you think….” She dare not to finish the sentence. It was her mother whom she never had the luck to meet in this life.
Yue Xiang hugged her shivery body and patted her slowly: “I won’t let them off easily.”
With teary eyes, Yue Wan stared wide-eyed at Yue Xiang and tugged his collar: “Big Brother, dont tell daddy.”
Patting her head, Yue Xiang released her from the embrace: “When you plan to expose them?”
Wiping her tears, she said: “This is one of the trump cards in our hands. We have to make sure that everything goes well and search for a good opportunity to leak it out. It’s better that we gathered some more evidence soon.”
Yue Xiang’s eyes did not miss how she was caught up in wild thoughts. Since the old days, all sorts of evil plots had emerged from the highly influenced families. Thus, if one wanted to, it wasn’t a difficult task to conduct an investigation on the right path.
‘Ring…Ring..Ring..” Yue Xiang’s phone let out a piercing noise of ringtone that gave them a great shock and caused them to snap out of their train of thought.
Yue Xiang received a call from Assistant Yang Zhen, who seemed to be anxious over things in the office.
Yue Xiang’s eyes lit up momentarily hearing what happened at the Yue Crop; it was such a timely call. “Make sure the rat stays under your radar. Lockdown the whole place and start your investigation before the police arrived. I will be there soon.”
After the call ended, the Yue sibling gave a knowing look at each and quickly left the Military base.
—–In a dark room—
Wearing a long pale green robe made of lightweight material on her skinny body, she stood up, trying to balance her bruised and nibbled body. However, her leg gave as she stumbled on the floor.
An older maid, Momo came running over upon hearing the sounds from the Master room. “Miss, you’ve woken up. Oh no! Not again! Why is he so heartless? Let me help you up.”
Looking at Wei Wan, Momo’s heart ached, but she also felt distraught. Although she was used to Wei Wan’s wretched condition every day. It was still hurtful to see the poor girl suffering under the devious monster. “Shall I bring breakfast here?”
“Okay,” Wei Wan murmured, her eyes went blank as if she was dead.
The old maid left with a heavy heart to prepare some nutritious food.
Once Wei Wan was alone, her eyes flashed with a furious look that was somewhat frightening. She took out a phone under the bed and called a number.
The call picked up after the second ring, a sharp voice inquired from the other side: “Are you done?”
Pursing her lips, Wei Wan glared vehemently at the dirty sheet: “Make sure the news reaches the whole city. Ask the lawyer to prepare the papers.”
The caller went off without a reply, right then the doorknob was twisted.
Hiding the phone back in the place, Wei Wan felt bitterness in her heart, and her gaze looked like it was laced with poison: “Momo, help me to dress up. I have someplace I need to go…”
“But, Master….” Momo remembered clearly that her master forbids Wei Wan leaving the room so why would she insist on going out? At that moment, she didn’t notice the distorted and evil expression written all over Wei Wan’s face.
