Reborn: The Unexpected Twist - Chapter 249
As she got into the car, she began to laugh. Han Taehyun, who was beside her, had a small smile upon his face, and Shin Soyeon was seated beside the driver.
Recalling the expression on Lee Minjoon’s face when she had called him out for panicking made Jinhee laugh. Nonetheless, before Minjoon could answer, she added, ‘Nevermind’, and walked out with Han Taehyun.
The entire situation was vivid within her mind, and thinking about it made Jinhee burst out into fits of laughter. She then turned to face Han Taehyun.
“That was really satisfying. How long do you think it would take for him to attack me?” Jinhee raised one of her eyebrows.
“A week or so. Judging by how you acted and how he seemed, he probably sees you as a strong danger now. Just a few push, and he will be going in the direction you want him to go at,” Taehyun said.
Jinhee nodded and vocalised, “That’s what I have thought as well. I’ll just bring up the matter of shares regularly. Taking in how he was close to beating me up today, he is really near to making a move. It is the title of Han Taeho’s fiancée that is stopping him from doing so.”
Smiling towards Taehyun, Jinhee added, “But I am sure your brother will be doing a decent job in convincing them I am not valued by him nor do I have any kind of special influence by being engaged to him.”
“Tch! Jinhee, you just keep on making me more and more jealous by bringing up your relationship and your trust in him. How much do you admire him and depend upon him?” Taehyun said as a small pout began to form upon his features.
A chuckle left Jinhee’s mouth at Taehyun’s words, and bringing her face closer to him, she whispered, “If truth was to be told, Han Taeho is someone I truly despise, and I want him to be destroyed.
But, more than him, I want some other people to be destroyed, so that is why I am currently using him to do so.”
After Jinhee had pulled away from Han Taehyun, she could clearly see his widened eyes and see that he did not expect any of that. Nonetheless, Taehyun’s expression seemed normal.
“What did he do to despise you? I am sure both of you barely had any contact with each other,” Taehyun stated.
“About our connection, it is a secret. All of this is a big secret, and I will be telling you all about it after I take down some people. It might seem nonsensical though— my secret, I mean.”
Han Taehyun chuckled and stated, “My secret is ridiculous as well. But who knows? Maybe both of us share the same secret; There is indeed an possibility of that.”
“Well, I did think there was a possibility for that, but I suppose we will only get to know about it after a month or so,” Jinhee said, “So far yet, we need to wait and try to guess each other’s secret by using our best abilities.”
Lee Jinhee yawned after that.
Jinhee’s words caused Taehyun to nod, and he said, “You better take a short nap of half an hour now or else you will be suffering whilst writing the paper.”
Han Taehyun’s words were right. She was extremely sleepy at this moment, and it would be a great idea to take a nap at this moment. With her heart feeling peaceful, she placed her head upon Taehyun’s shoulder.
Clearly feeling the warmth from Taehyun, she found herself falling asleep as Han Taehyun patted his hand on top of Jinhee’s head.

The week was over with barely any problems created, and Youngmi tried to approach Jinhee in various ways. Luckily enough, Jinhee managed to avoid each one of her ploys.
Once Youngmi tried to have her locked in the bathroom stall and make her be late for school. Nonetheless, due to Shin Soyeon, she was saved, and taking how Han Taehyun stuck to her, Youngmi rarely got a chance to do anything.
There was a time Youngmi tried to frame her by placing a piece of the answer sheet under her desk, and before her desk could be checked, Jinhee fortunately found it. She searched through her desk regularly for this seemed to one of the most common tricks to be expected.
Nonetheless, Jinhee had an inkling on the next traps Youngmi would be laying out for her would not be as simple as this, and the thought of that made Jinhee anxious.
She found herself being constantly on guard, and even with Shin Soyeon being beside her, she did not feel completely safe. Influence and power can achieve a lot of things, and that was what made Jinhee fear.
After a seemingly peaceful yet exhausting— due to the exams— Jinhee believed that she deserved a rest, and she fell down upon her bed. Hugging the pillow, Jinhee stared around the room.
Without Taehyun’s presence here, Jinhee was truly bored.
Lee Jinhee had no clue on where he was. After the classes for the day was over, he informed her on how he had an important matter to handle and she should return home on her own.
Raising her hand, Jinhee touched her forehead where Taehyun placed a soft kiss before walking away, and the thought of that made a small smile on her face.
Her heart beat rapidly within her chest, and as she had nothing scheduled for tomorrow, she decided to meet up with Han Taeho tomorrow to discuss on some matters and inform him on the relationship between her and Taehyun.
Taking her phone from the bed beside her, she searched for Han Taeho’s number, and after she had found it, she decided to leave him a text.
“Can we meet up tomorrow?” She wrote before pressing send.
She knew that he wouldn’t be replying now. Therefore, placing her phone beside her, she closed her eyes and decided to catch up on the sleep she desperately needed.
